Thanks for your video, but in my tablet I didn't find the option you said. I went to DJI website, download DJI Assistant 2 and it installed two upgrades in ten minutes.
Great video, very helpful info I had 2 phantom I got from BesBuy where the firmware was the problem so what I did instead of going to a 3 one I upgraded to the 4 so now I'm looking at all the video upgrades for the 4 before doing anything just like I did for the 3 will let you know how that go'sssssssss.
Great video and thanks. What does it mean when their is a camera error. Unboxed, read instructions, perform all updates/syncs, and the device registered a camera error. All other functions seem to be working properly. This is a very expensive product which I was under the presumption would be ready to go once unboxed.

I got on line to dji in China....they talked me through manually relinking RC to copter. You do it without the app,just using buttons on RC and link button on copter. That seemed to have solved the issue.
i got a question. if u take a look at the video on minute 3:07 it shows the app and in the middle left of the safe to fly status , I think is the obstacle signal or something, well mines is red not a line but red signal icon and with an R inside. what does that means. do I have something in my settings bad. this is on my phantom 4.

I'm very new to DJI P4. I attempted to upgrade the P4 FW. I assumed that the P4 should be powered on during upgrade transfer, as would be the case when up grading FW for Sony & Panasonic GH4 professional cameras. To my shock a notice stated an error occurred during transfer. My response was to first close down P4 then controller. This resulted in the controller running on refusing to power down! After about 24 hours it quit. The power on/off button is solid has no spring action that is the case when all is OK. After an attempt to recharge controller battery, the battery charge 4 white LEDs were pulsing in an unusual fashion. Showing on DJI Go app screen a notice states "No Connection" I'm in contact with DJI Support US however we seem to be just going around in circles. P4 is new 1 short flight (learner mode) only. I really don't know what to do.
Power everything up and connect mobile device (PROPS OFF) and what messages are you receiving? If prompted to update, make sure you have solid wifi connection for your mobile device and download update. Follow the on screen prompts and NEVER power device down when updating. Some updates can take 20 minutes. The mobile device will download the update then instruct you to use the adapter cable that came with your P4. Connect from the mobile device to the port on the P4 and start the update. The RC controller is updated through the GO app when your mobile device is connected. Again you need WIFI connection to download update to mobile, then while still connected to RC controller you will push update. Once prompted that all is complete, then you can reboot all devices and reconnect. You should see status in the upper portion of the GO app where the GPS signal is displayed. There is also a second method that requires downloading the DJI assistant software version 2 and using you PC or Mac to do the update. Let us know how it works out. Good Luck!

One way or another it requires repair/replacement. I'm considering a new Ebay replacement controller, however they don't appear to be up for sale. Cheers.

Just got this thing yesterday, flew it once without the update. (built at least 15 drones on my own, so this is really new to me) LOL so far pretty cool, very different than racing drones. A lot more relaxing. (still updating the drone, waiting but it is going)
Worth Pretty much although it's a little more reliable now. If it hangs during the upload, usually on that last 5%, just unplug the adapter cable and re plug in.

do you have P4 or P4 Advance or P4 Pro? if only P4 then you should use the app "DJI GO 4 - for drones since P4" if you want to update the app only otherwise go to DJI Download to download and install DJI Assistant 2 for upgrading the latest firmware
+WVL No it does not. Updating is done via micro SD card and the camera. The remote controller can be updated via a direct connection to the mobile device.
I just got a new phantom for drone there was two updates one for the controller one for the drone the one for the controller downloaded OK the update for the drone did not work I use the dig go App I called dig there was something wrong with the drone I had to send it back for a full refund I am going to order another one I hope it works

We recommend only using the DJI assistant 2 software for updates at this point for all DJI aircraft. You can download the software from their website under the downloads section of your aircraft type. This method is much more reliable than the special cable method. Good luck. Let us know how you did.

What is the error? Dont forget to take off gimbal lock before powering up.
+Aeroworks Productions camera error is flagged. No image/video appears on phone display during flight.

How do you stop RC from Beeping while upgrading inside? Makes me crazy, I know it's inside and needs to be calibrated again

well once I said download it was beeping like crazy, non stop but finally stopped.
once RC started to upgrade it stopped, kept beeping till it downloaded firmware
