One of his best, most underrated, and most underappreciated later albums in my opinion. It deserves some love and recognition. One of my favorite and best songs in the album is Lion of Judah. Played that song lots of times. ❤
One of my favorite Prince albums. Still remember buying it at Walmart when it was released. I also remember the Verizon Wireless commercial where he performed "Guitar."
I love the album, I loved the date I went to. Sitting next to puff daddy/p.diddy and tripping over that yellow cable cover across the floor and stumbling into his little roped off VIP area was memorable. Dancing with random woman I was told was nelly furtardo was a great memory. The security guard who tried to stop you dancing in walk ways I also had dancing. Opening with Purple Rain was something interesting I really didn't think would work but did and a full live version of take me with u was very welcome. Felt like I was sat next to P for the sampling set. The show was amazing.
Planet Earth is easily one of my favorite Prince albums of the 2000s. In many ways, I enjoy it more than Musicology and 3121. Favorite tracks are the title track, "Guitar", "Somwhere Here On Earth", "The One U Wanna C", "Future Baby Mama", and "Lion of Judah". Thanknyou so much for making these videos; it's much appreciated. I always learn something new about my favorite Prince albums by watching these, and nobody else really focuses on the latter era of his career the way like do. Hats off to you, kudos, and please keep em coming! (PS maybe the next one could be about what it was like to meet with and speak with His Purple Highness. Like what did you talk about, what was he like, etc etc).
I love Resolution, the sentiment & it was so nice to hear the classic Wendy & Lisa angelic duo vocals. Same with The 1 U Wanna C, however their vocals really shine through on Resolution. I also like the title track, in the same family as Empty Room, & very important message that hits harder today as we see more & more climate issues than when the album was released. 💜
I was there 2, only one night unfortunately. But hands down the best live performance I’ve ever witnessed. And I also love this album as well very underrated, mabey because of seeing him live but hay he was one off a kind. Ps love your channel for the British Prince fan ❤
I went 2 the 1st & last night of the tour. The energy on the 1st night was immense. U could tell by the last night that it was taking it's toll on the band though.
Great concert & after show, the Planet Earth album was not as good as its predecessor 3121 but me & my wife’s highlight at the time was walking past Dustin Hoffman down Park Lane before the gig,Great memories 👍🇬🇧🎸
Planet Earth is not one of my favorite Prince albums but it’s not his worst at all. Planet Earth (the song), Somewhere Here On Earth, Future Baby Mama, The One U Wanna C & Chelsea Rodgers is some of Prince’s very best work. 2007 was the year that Prince was making some of the worst decisions of his career. Along with not promoting Wendy & Lisa working with him (Prince almost always sucked at promotion), he was pulling his music from RUclips,l. He was making it tough to be a fan but luckily this album came around and put the focus back on the music. I’m glad London got to have him for 21 Nights because those shows looked incredible. And if memory serves me, doesn’t Prince still hold the record for the most shows performed at the O2? If so, that’s icing on the cake.
Why the heck would he need to fly to the Czech Republic to film a video when there were wonderful areas around London that could’ve been just as cool? Guess there are so many things we shall never learn the reasoning behind.
I would easily put this album in my bottom 10 but it is still a great Prince album. I would probably feel different about it if I had seen him during the 21 nights. It certainly was better than 20Ten. That album felt half baked and underwhelming. I don't know if I'm the only Prince fan that feels this way but from the moment Larry Graham put the Jehovah's Witness crap into Prince's head his music gradually got less exciting. Being in a cult like the Jehovah's Witness or the Mormons or Scientology will make any man soft. I hate to say it but Larry Graham is the worst thing that happened to Prince aside from his tragic passing. I thought Prince was above organized religion. I can't believe they brainwashed him into that stupid religion or is that he got into any organized religion. He had so many spiritual songs and albums before he got wrapped up into the Jehovah's Witness cult. I don't know. Perhaps it helped him deal with the loss the son he had with Mayte that passed away and their divorce. Clearly he is the only one that could ever know that. I still can't believe people are dumb enough to believe in God.
Great vid, terrible album (one or two standout songs don’t make an album - only Prince album I don’t play at all). The problem with Resolution and 1 U Wanna C is that they’re not great track so there was no reason to shine a spotlight on them…
Thanks for watching, and happy holidays all! What's your favourite song from the Planet Earth album? 💜
Happy Holidays 💜💜
Future Baby Mama
Somewhere Here On Earth is absolutely one of his best songs ever.
One of his best, most underrated, and most underappreciated later albums in my opinion. It deserves some love and recognition. One of my favorite and best songs in the album is Lion of Judah. Played that song lots of times. ❤
Wow! You got to meet him and here Pink Cashmere live? That’s a double blessing.
Welcome back

My nephew Christian Scott plays trumpet on Somewhere Here On Earth and on Chelsea Rogers, but that's not him in the video.

Wow, you got to meet Prince. Prince and Michael Jackson are the only ones that I would be star-struck to meet.
Somewhere Here On Earth 💜
'...and I like it'
LOVE this series! Just started watching!

So happy you're back with another episode. Also great job moderating the D&P International Lovers panel Casey.

Another great video from TVR! Thank you!
Thank you so much 💜
Would u pls share your experience of meeting Prince with us?
Personally think that combining half of this album and half of 3121 you get a much stronger album. Great memories of many shows and aftershows too 👍🏼💜
Thank you for this!
You're welcome Ruby! Thanks for watching 💜

Didn't he read the lyrics to the song "Planet Earth" on an awards show? (did I miss that?) So in a way he performed it as spoken word on TV.

The title track was good right up point when it went into, what sounded like , could it be magic, a terrible choice of musical fill.
I wanna know what u talked to Prince about if ur comfortable about sharing
