Damn! What a powerful scene!
Viola Davis is truly the best actress ever.
I felt her pain.. We as people, meaning men and women sacrifice a lot... Knowing who you really are as a individual, your self- respect as a person and your responsibility to whom your connected to makes you sacrifice for the good...
Acting of Viola Davis in this scene is totally mind blowing ❤
Very powerful to watch this scene everytime this is truly what acting is meant to be
This right here is a good ass scene. She is a phenomenal actress and a phenomenal woman.
TWO GRFEATEST OF ALL TIMES..CANT GET BETTER SYNC THAN THIS

Viola Davis is just from another world
What a great scene. Hard to believe they are acting
VIOLA DAVIS BRING ALL THE STARS DOWN ON THIS SCENE❤❤❤

A good son will always defend her mamma 😢
Both did extremely well in their roles
Great actress Viola Davis
Denzel and Viola showed actor brilliance.
I cried on this scene at that time my guy friend got a woman pregnant while we were dating & I was so hurt..
I’m going through what u been through my guy friend kept the baby hid for a year and I’m just finding out! I was hurt and still hurting! The baby just turned 1 this month!
So I feel your pain and this scene! I’m really hurt😢😢😢😢
You two ladies touched my heart. My eyes watered as I thought about your pain and sadness. I'm 66 years old, and I can still remember the hurt and sadness. My boyfriend didn't have a child but started messing around with his old girlfriend again. All my so-called friends knew. I found out through my father. One of his friends thought he should know before I got hurt. It was too late. My heart was shattered. All I can say prayers to both of you and that God blessed you both with someone who loves you unconditionally .👏🏾
She is amazing
Why is it people insist to compare and criticize the way things were then to how it is now. The story and characters in this film are amazing your supposed to watch and admire how different things were and how people got through it all. This ain’t no Disney story either.
No things like this still happen and it is still very relevant. Only difference is women have more rights and are less dependent on men.
Denzel wild in this one , i feel bad for rose and her son , to hear how much this other women makes him feel
I love Denzel Washington that goes without saying he is my favorite actor he is such a wise man❤
When two people know their craft come together and bring pieces of paper to life... this is what it looks like. Raw, emotional, real. I am having goosebumps seeing this every time. Troys POV is flawed and he still asks her to understand why he is doin it. Note how Rose asks Troy if he is going to continue to see the other woman and he just deflects it completely.
She wasted her life with this man... Entire life ...
Why you say that?
@@jaelinmckenzie8846 because she did she gave everything to him and got nothing in return but hurt and bullshit when she could of actually been loved the right way by the right man ...
@@beyonkam9965the odds of that happening or slim to none. Most women are not loved correctly.
When you got kids, your life’s kind of over

Your life ain't over. Children are a big amount of favor from the most highest. The situation with you and your partner doesn't dictate what you feel for yourself and your children.
what a great actors 🥰🥰
I had this happen to me (in part). Man I felt this.
The brilliance of August Wilson’s words coupled with two of the finest actors on the planet. This movies was filmed in Pittsburgh and I was so hurt because I lived there for 30 years and the minute I moved they came to town to film the movie. It was set in Mr Wilson’s neighborhood and filmed right outside the house he grew up in. I was a reporter and had written about the house, went in there while it was in disrepair, saw the 2 rooms, Mr Wilson’s mother raised her children in. Please, research aka Google August Wilson. He was one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th century. He wrote a play for every decade of the 20th century. He died far too soon at the age of 60. I’m looking forward to The Piano Lesson, another of his plays that Denzel and his family produced for the big screen. The trailer is spellbinding!
Just BRILLIANT!
They nailed it
Denzel to good when he plays the villain
This was awesome... And I mean Great
Knee buckling heartbreak whew... Her worst fear, a faulty foundation 😢
HE JUST STANDING UP THERE WITH NO FEELINGS OR SYMPATHY WHATSOEVER 😮
