2019 Hobie Owners Kayak Fishing Tournament in Corpus Christi!

- I had an amazing time kayak fishing Corpus Christi for the Hobie Owners Kayak Fishing Tournament in the 2019 Hobie Outback! Fin Factory put on an amazing event! The conditions were tough but I was really pleased to still manage to finish in the top 10! It was definitely trial by fire learning how to fish a new area but the old tried and true berkley gulp jerk shad did the trick! I was able to catch a beautiful 25" red fish. Despite the wind blowing 18-25mph the water was still beautiful and crystal clear in certain areas. Looking forward to the next event!

25 inch red, wow that is nice. Way to go out there in such windy conditions.

I caught 4 speckled trout in the bay in port mansfield, coulda been 5, but it was a 13 inch. Good work

Was a tough day out there. I was parked next to you and chatted briefly about that sheepshead. I rented a Hobie Compass for that tournament and had so much fun on it that I just bought myself an Outback on Friday. Maybe see you out on the water for future tournaments.

Got ya back with the sub 👍. Love the outback it's just the right size for me. Great mix of fishability, stability, and speed. I can totally load/launch it on my own. Pro Angler is really nice if your a bigger guy.... definitely more space for activities...just heavier

6 inch gulp jerk shad. I think it’s called pepper chartreuse or something. My favorite lure. I also used a spoon on this day I think
