Fun fact: Walton Goggins is actually kind of reprising the role he had in Ant-Man and the Wasp where he played Sonny Burch, who this Sonny Birch is clearly an alternate version of. I forgot that he was in that movie (and also kind of forgot about that movie - even though I remember really liking it) so just thought I'd share something I remembered AFTER I filmed. lol What are your hopes for the final episodes? Are there any cameos you are hoping for? Any loose ends you want tied up?
Omg I also forgot Walton Goggins was reprising an alternate of his role of his role from Ant-Man. 🤭 I have an affinity for Goggins as a crook from Justified as Boyd Crowder and was thinking of that role in this episode.
Seeing Shang Chi and Kate Bishop as a team up together is something I thought I never needed before and it was so much fun honestly 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. And I enjoyed seeing The Watcher interfere once again with eventually should be a future iron fist, no kids are being thrown off of trains in his watch and I love the hood backstory a la top ten nerd throwback Amanda ❤❤❤❤.
Thank you! I'm doing my best to keep up with them. It can be challenging around this time because the holidays are so busy. But it's also nice to have something new to watch each day during the season. :) So I'm glad your enjoying the show and reviews. Appreciate you.
So glad you enjoyed it. I thought it was a pretty fun time. I really liked the set up for it. The opening for this episode was straight fire. Also Kate & Shang-Chi make for a fun team up!
I did notice Iron Fist as well as the Ghost Train (reference to The Hood being Ghost Rider in the comics I assume) but I just didn't mention either. I was more focused on the plot, Shang-Chi, and some missed opportunities in this review. I don't always have the time to mention everything. :) But I do think it's cool they had a historical Iron Fist in the mix.
The Shang-Chi movie and the Hawkeye series are the two most underrated Post-Endgame content. Hopefully we’ll get more Shang-Chi and Kate Bishop in the further Marvel Projects.
SPOILERS! I agree about there being a " PG" filter on what could've had REAL human emotional complexity especially about Hawkeye killing the sister. Also; Interested to know what the other Watchers think of Uatos constant interference.
Awww, thank you for still watching the video but just with the sound off to avoid spoilers. Hopefully when you've seen the episode you can come back to comment and discuss. :) Thank you for the support.
Despite the (apparent) self censoring that kept the episode from ending like true revisionist Western, I actually loved this episode!! Basically, my immense enjoyment all came from my (sometimes intrusive) Marvel Zombie fanboy tendencies, simply because, unlike What If “1602”, I felt like this episode actually succeeded in living up to it’s original comic book inspiration while still being its own thing. By the end, I wasn’t even peeved Steve Rogers wasn’t in it, looking exactly like Robert Redford (look up the original art previews for Marvel 1872, they had a much better artist lined up who had to bow out, unfortunately, and boy did he know how to make Marvel characters look like famous Western stars!).
I feel like this one specifically should get A LITTLE BIT of a pass about the stakes because it felt very nostalgic. Like, the vibes for an old western movie were really good.

I love Walton Goggins. Also really enjoyed this episode but then I do love classic Westerns.

Really appreciate you doing these episodic reviews when most channels are holidaying. You're a good egg.

I appreciate your reviews on all the MCU Marvel animated series’. 😊 We’ll unfortunately have to wait a while on the next What If or version of it.
That was a clever way to include a real social issue, in the episode.
This was the first episode this season I actually enjoyed. Always love to see more Shang Chi and Kate Bishop.

@@VampX13 I agree! Even though it took me WAAAAAY too long to understand that "Ten Rings" gag.
It was teaser for Ironheart show since the Hood is main antagonist. Also didn't you notice Ironfirst?

Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤ Happy Holidays ❤
Walter Goggins' character was from Ant-Man and the Wasp.
I liked the Iron Fist cameo. 🙂
I also thought that was fun!

Hi Amanda have a great day and love your voice 😍
I would’ve much preferred Pirate Crossbones than to not have it. 😭 AND SHOWTUNES ULTRON?!
I let the video play muted. I didn't want any spoilers.

0 45........ Is this Marvel What If? Or some anime?
Oh no... you got sucked into that god awful background music trend... that really takes me right out of your enjoyable commentary.
