Hope you all enjoy this compilation of all my Stooges Goofs videos from Curly, Shemp, Joe Besser, and Curly Joe. It runs from the 1930's through the 1960's Stooge movies.

My favorite after school time was watching the three stooges. Curly Howard, Joe Besser , Shemp Howard, Moe Howard, Larry Fine. Slapstick at it's best. Soitenly...

as a kid in the 70's it was my uncle that told me the three stooges were fake and not really hitting each other. he told me wrestling was "fake" and he ruined every magic trick i did one Christmas with the magic set i got. gotta love family. that doesn't live with you and or have to live and deal with the consequences of ruining a childhood. ;)

I remember Leslie Nielsen saying that Shemp was scared to death of that lion and it took a lot of convincing to get him to sit there in front of it. I think it definitely looks like he doesn't want to be there.

Joe Besser was in a 1959 movie called "Say One For Me", a musical drama starring Bing Crosby, Debbie Reynolds, Robert Wagner & Ray Walston. I recently saw this movie for the first time and, as big an old movie buff that I am, I had never heard of it. It was the first and only time I have seen Joe Besser play a straight dramatic character.

garypesci-Joe Besser also made a cameo appearance in a season two episode of Batman, Hizzoner The Penguin, as a supporter for the Penguin's running for mayor of Gotham City.

Loved it. I always thought the routine in "Around the World in a Daze" where Moe numbers all the slapstick, and then says about the eye poke, "Uh-Uh, We don't do that one anymore" was a funny inside joke.

15:33 The glass pane trick between the lion and the actors reminded me of another time that was used. In Raiders of the Lost Ark, when Indy falls in the snake pit. He rises to face the cobra, but if you look closely (on my old VHS copy anyway) you can see the glass between Harrison Ford and said cobra. Love your channel !

I loved the video and do enjoy blooper shows so this was a treat. The big difference between bloopers from way back when these were made is that I doubt anyone involved would have in their wildest imagination anticipate their movies (shorts) still being watched and loved for so long by so many people.

In the 1956 short Scheming Schemers, Moe shoves his down a sink drain, and rips out a clump of Larry's hair. A minute later, he shoves hand down the drain again, but this time, he asks for Larry's help because his hand was stuck. If Moe had no trouble taking his hand out the first time, he should have had no trouble the second time. Same with the 1945 short Idiots Deluxe. Moe gets knocked out by a rock thrown by Larry. Curly and Larry picks Moe up to put him in the back of their car, Moe suddenly turns into a dummy. You can tell because Moe's arm is by his side, rather than hanging limply.

11:51 back then there was no: "wait... what was that? go back." and they knew it. something offscreen for less than sec would barely register and not worth the time or money to reshoot. (which was probably said while i was busy typing this.)

14:08 i think for this, his line was cut off too early, because you can hear him say during the fade "well, one day while-" and then he gets cut off

I have all of the 3 Stooges shorts, but I don't watch any of them with Joe Besser. I never cared for him as a Stooge; he was fine on Joey Bishop and various movies, but just not as a Stooge. But I do think Shemp was just as funny as Curly, and Joe DeRita was a welcome addition.
As I understand it, Emil Sitka was considered as a Stooge, but the one I would have chosen was their arch-nemesis: Vernon Dent.

The mud in the face shot with the hanging mud: a tiny drop splashed off his face and hit the camera.
"See the string making Shemp's bow tie spin?" (circles the area)
Me: nope. Nothing there after the encoding got through with it.
What do I think of Joe Besser? He's too normal. He just looks like a middle ages man. The other 5 stooges had unique haircuts (shaves) that made them look absurd like cartoon characters, which they act like and have the superhuman resistance to injury of. His guy down the street mowing his lawn look makes him not really qualified for stoogedom
