Much respect to young Pryce. She had a long season and came up against a tough Paulinho today. She will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. Always remember no medals a put down for any athlete, you have to earn it on the track 🫡

She is now a pro and probably have to earn her money on the diamond league circuit, but I hope that she does not injure herself

Allegedly she had a stomach virus shortly before the semi-final. I also recall her complaining of being in pain “I have a shin problem from last year and it never went away. I always run on it. Sometimes it makes me cry. I still push through.” As she was no able to recover in time to run the 4x400m relay and decided to officially end her 2024 season - I think it is little bit of both: not being 100% healthy and a long season but rather unlikely that she hit the wall due to over-training. Her 48.57 in London was such a gutsy run and I expect more such performances next year.

I heard Covid and other respiratirory issues are going through the camp. I think she may have picked up a bug. She didn't appear to have a muscular injury but at the same time she didn't run a burnt out athletes' race. She accelerated on the back straight which put her into second coming off the bend. Normally you don't see that from a 'burnt out' athlete. Wishing her the best regardless she made us proud this year

Nickisha disappointing performance in the semis can be due to the fact that her body has definitely hit a wall due to the many races she had to run in the NCAA championships-it also happened to ShaCarri, Alfred & others who despite doing very well in the NCAA championships did NOT do well at their Trials or championship events. Nickisha definitely have the talent to be a GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER so I know she will do much much better in future athletic championships. Keep the FAITH & God Bless.

I keep noting this regarding track athletes. Adequate rest is critical to top performance. Coaches need to advise rheir athletes . Cant be overdoing it. Overtraining, overcompeting combined with inadequate recovery and physical therapy can lead to burn out and injury. I remember a saying i heard from the marathoner Elihud Kipchoge: Train hard, eat well, rest hard , repeat.

I am yet to see an athlete whether local or otherwise that dominates the NCAA circuit and in that same year gp on to dominate a world champs or olympics. I am yet to see it.

There is no burnout just flesh and blood beind tired and needing rest to repair damages from her ncaa season extending to trials and now olympics.
Julien albert competed last year in ncaa and world champs but was not successful at world champs. This year no ncaa and shes 100m champion, difference much less races this year and could peak for olympics.
Doctor as you so much like to call yourself, maybe your should recommend to jaaa to create a policy when an ncaa competitor is among the top 4 in the world to be allowed not to run at trials so that they cán rest and resume training after trials to allow for the maintaining of their condition and form for the championship event.
I firmly believe a strategy like this would allow her a greater chance of suceeding. Yes this means she would be given a place on the team and only 2 places available at trials.
Note having a time that in the top 4 would hardly happen but in nickieshas case this was needed to give her maximum chance to medal or win.
    She will be fine.

France Olympic is really a boogiman for Jamaica this kinda stuff and injuries never take place if i didn’t know better I would think they tampered with our athletes

That's what they did with Briana lester that's why she did not go fir the olympic trials.

Just guessing - she had a long peak from the NCAA champs to the Jamaican Olympic qualifiers, and could not maintain that peak for two more weeks.

I know its the youtube game for clicks but very disappointing title, "learn the truth" then spend most of the video speculating that the reason is fatigue from her long season, thats what everybody is saying. Pryce being ill is way more likely than fatigue from her season.
Her college team mate Amber Anning who had the same college work load ran the Mixed Relay, Ran the 4*400m relay and made it all the way to the 400M ran a PB in the finals.
Her other team Brown ran well in both the Women and Mixed 4*400M

No speculation. The information presented is accurate. However, you know how it is? We do not gossip over this channel. Also, our aim is to protect the athletes brand as best as I can. Trust me, the information is accurate - no speculation.
