Nice to see another video by you guys. I have been toying with buying a Stinger GT2 for the past few months and have been learning about the 'extras' one can put on it. It didn't occur to me that the Forte could have one as well. Keep up the vids.
Well, sad to see someone who couldnt set up its jb4 properly. I have mine in my forte gt and it feels like a new car. Goes wat faster, lags arent as bad, way more power overall. You shouldnt give the reviews you are giving it just cuz you couldnt make it work properly.
Do these issues mainly apply to the automatic transmission models? Like I'm sure it wouldn't fix everything but I bet a manual would have a better time with the jb4.
I try to buy non ethanol fuel every time I fill up an get the 91 octane where available because if I fill up any other gas that has ethanol I can tell the difference not only in performance but fuel mileage as well makes a big difference
Yeah, unfortunately the car requires 93 and no one has it in non-ethanol around here. On top of that I run an octane booster to ensure the octane stays high enough to protect the motor from knock.
@@MurphysLawGarage yeah can buy 5 gallon cans from speed shops or the track but if can get drum of it the fuel cost much cheaper if I remember right from when we was ordering it at the track ordered by the 5 gallon pals was almost $2 more a gallon compared to getting a drum
Ummmm....carbon dioxide entering the cabin is harmless. In fact, anyone in the vehicle will be exhaling it as they breathe. However, carbon monoxide (a byproduct of combustion and toxic) is something you'd want to avoid introducing into the passenger compartment.....
I wouldn’t say the JB4 is trash by any means. As far as piggy backs go, this one has the most support and is offered for a LARGE variety of vehicles. My only issue was the inconsistency I got from it. Switching maps felt like it took a few days to fully set in. But for the money and ease of warranty work, it’s unbeatable imo. I just don’t want it to seem like I’m knocking JB4 by any means. I know this is a joke based on Jb, but, still. Lol
It has colder plugs and intakes rarely return more than a few hp at this level of modification. No use for a pedal commander when the car is ECU tuned.
If you’ve got the ivt transmission I figured out a way to launch it hard. Keep it in sport mode in the regular automatic mode and slap it into slap shift mode and go into first. When you take off the gear ratio will be shorter and right when you get to the top of first take it out of slap shift mode and it’ll hold the rpm for a bit and pull hard

The Forte GT is a special version if the car with a turbo and DCT transmission, its decently quick. The Stinger GT2 is a great car.
Thanks for the video. Just bought a 22’ Forte Gt 6MT ♠️

Was able to buy this from Jason! Hopefully this install video will help me for when I decide to put it on.

Your reaction is so funny to the tune bro LMFAOO ty for this i love yall
Thank you for watching!

It worked fine, you’re inconsiderate of DA differences effecting tuning.

It’s possible, but I should point out this car is a DCT not a traditional automatic.
Yeah, it would perform better with a manual
Yes, the DCT is wonky
Any update on the ek1 lite ? Bouncing between the jb4 and the ek1.
Definitely go EK1 as it allows for proper pro tuning and greater control.
how do you hook this up if you already have gauges using the OBD2? Either one or the other??
Use an OBD2 splitter.
Are you guys using 91 with the tune?
93
Is this actually for sale by the way? I'd be HUGELY interested
Yes it is, email me at JB@murphyslawgarage.com
@@MurphysLawGarage Just emailed ya! Hope it's still for sale!
I’m sorry, it’s been sold.
I have the LXS trim would I still be able to do the same mods if I wanted to?
No, this is GT only.

@@MurphysLawGarage rite on need try finding a station that does have non ethanol or order a drum of some non ethanol from Vp or something
Yeah, honestly I’d rather go E85-Flex, but none of that around here either… drums are so inconvenient.

You need to put a warning at the beginning of this video. It got X rated around the 22 minute mark!!
Shhhh, dont give away our secrets
😂

Forged internals and a lot of boost or nitrous. It will always have a glass transmission though.
I have supporting mods, the right fuel and map 3 and its absolutely quicker
Oh and a manual trans

Yeah, I don’t speak from a script - and you’re correct, carbon MONoxide is what your concerned about amongst any foul smells. Good catch.
Of course something called a JB-4 will be trash. You need to find a Mikey-4.
😂 on it

I’ve changed my opinion “JB”-4 is the ultimate!
@@MurphysLawGarage is this sarcasm or did you really switch back to jb4?
Totally sarcasm
You need new air intake new spark plugs and pedal commander as well as a few other mods to make it a beast

Not according to my dynos results.

Why is your 0-60 so bad. I run a 6 second 0-60.
