I think Jojo was 100% groomed by Colleen as well. If you were on the whole dance moms side of things when all that was going down, you would see that Jojo (and Nia) was being excluded for a while on the show. In an environment where all these very young girls were fighting for the attention and love of Abby Miller, it makes sense that if Colleen started to reach out to Jojo and Jojo was recieveing the love and attetion from her that she wasnt getting from Abby, she would totally give into that. Not to mention that im sure Jojo felt special because none of the other dance mom girls got to be friends with Colleen the same way. Even though they all got exposed to her in the same way (if not all of them then esp. Nia) Plus Jojo mentioning that Colleen helped her start her career in youtube adds a whole other layer to it since Jojo's channel and popularity have a lot to do with her friendship with Colleen. Its so interesting to see all different sides of this from different parts of the internet.

I feel like it’s a little imposter syndrome unfortunately, they’re a real and genuine family who doesn’t over shoot for monetization and gain, they keep it realistic and fun and professional and that’s why the live shows are slowly building up and up, because they have to be sure which is sensible especially when you have a producer like Dan who had private knowledge of the live show industry, it’s all very interesting in my opinion
