1:48:22 Active players in Japan who can devote time to the game are on another level. The "wrong" thing is that Ureshino tests your endgame skill, and you haven't studied for the test.

Well, unfortunately I *have* studied a lot and I will continue to study a lot, but I suspect I may just not have the aptitude for it. Or lack the brain plasticity for it at this point. 😭I'm not giving up, though! 😀

@@ohithere-shogi As you find confidence with tactics, tsume, etc. the painful path of trying a different opening (even one which gets slightly inferior positions) might be easier to master than Ureshino.

@@DanielDugovic At this point, if and when the Ureshino experiment ends, I imagine I'll go back to nakabisha. But perhaps I'll just continue to try out the openings that I struggle to go *against* and continually build a repertoire. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
