This video made my day !!! Can’t stop laughing 4.10 to 4.28 It’s that moment that you are expecting miracle but you get ....... I have the same experience very often as many many oboe players I guess it happens to the best of us. Great video and a fanatic player !!!!!!
You really dont get it do you!? Yes the reed still needed finishing which he will do later once the reed settles. Profiling machines NEVER do all the work for you! You still have to finish by hand to develop a refined and focused sound on the reed. This video did not show the finished reed! Making a reed from scratch without the profiing machine would take hours instead of minutes!
I have made my own reeds for years and the results speak for themselves. Long break in providing great consistency and longevity
Thank god I play clarinet.

Me too. Even with such an expensive machine... Oboe players' life is never easy...
Yes, 4:10 is hilarious. So what did we expect... It's a commercial.
Thank you for the wonderful video.
Hermoso! Oboístas y artesanos. Bravo Christoph 🎶.
Interessanter Einblick!
this part of the oboe ist sehr cool
Six players were angry because they don't own all these instruments and have to scrape with a simple knife ... :( :(
who is the machine building-specialist?

Interesting to know why Mr. Hartmann does not use Dupin Imperial oboe anymore.
If my reeds sounded like that I would just give up - after all the gadgets he just sounds like a kid still learning!!

😂 Still finding people commenting nonsense under this video.

Ich dachte, Herr Hartman spielte ausschließlich Legere Kunststoffrohre???
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
wasn't this shot in Seoul?
toll Christoph. Wer baut denn eine Reisehobelmaschine?

I'm glad I play clarinet now! I don't have to make my own reeds!
Indeed, the stuff on this table are more expensive than your whole clarinet. The profiling machine along is over 1000 euros...
Not worth it.
