Excellent!
Love your boards!
This seems like a simple and effective setup, thanks for sharing your setup!
Thank you: it was helpful!
Cool, you made your own bespoke brush roll. That's and excellent idea, very creative too.
Good choice of brushes for urban sketching.
White Nights are good quality paints, although some are quite opaque. I have the Ladoga version (24 palette) and a couple of tubes of White Nights too, all from Evetskya Palitra St. Petersburg.
Your self-assembly board set up is very well thought out. I've been thinking of doing something similar, so this video has given me some great ideas. Thank you. Liked and subscribed in a flash!
What an excellent arrangement for your outdoor painting! Best I've seen. Thankyou.
Thank you so much! I recently uploaded a video with an updated version, so check out my latest video if you are interested!

Brilliant thank you for sharing!
Thank you Vika , useful tips. I never thought about museums a good idea
Thank you and good luck with discovering museum sketching, it's so much fun! The key here is to prepare and study the rules in advance to make sure it is allowed to paint in that specific museum to avoid any issues!
That's very clever. I like it
Some great ideas!
Thank you Karen!

Great kit.
What fountain pen ink do you use? I've tried a few but they take days to fully dry.

Hi Fillardy and thank you for subscribing!
I saw St. Petersburg and I thought Florida, USA. But then I saw the Cathedral and you are in Russia! I subscribed to your channel and I look forward to your adventure in watercolor painting. Stay well and creative.
Yep, cathedral is a pretty good indication of which St.Petersburg it is 😁 Thank you for subscribing and for kind wishes!
Nice!
Thank you!
Fantastic
Thank you!
May your hardwork payoff
Thank you ❤️
Oh cool! Lamy Safari! Which ink do you use?!? I have -since being German- been using these pens since day one in the 80-ies. So I have a trick that I would share if you are interested.
Great video! 👍🏻
Oh! I have no idea why this is showing that line where I wanted to set it in (“” ”)
Thank you! How cool that you use Lamy since the 80s! They've done a good marketing to engage the sketchers community in the recent years 😂😂 And of course I would like to know the trick, please share 😎
Oh, and the ink I use is Carbon ink by Platinum 👍
@@vikakvasnik1581 Love this, too!
@@vikakvasnik1581 Thank you!
Hi Vika, which size of pen do you use for sketching? Thank you.
Hi there, my fountain pen has EF (extra fine) nib, when it comes to fineliners - usually I use micron 03/05
А какие чернила всё-таки подошли для Lamy?
Подошли Carbon Ink, я тут в комментариях еще нескольким людям отвечала более подробно про них
What is the size of the two pieces of foam board? I am going to put my own kit together. Thanks for the inspiration!
The ones in the video are appr 22*30 cm each to fit an A4 sheet of paper. I have also made smaller pieces (20*26 cm) that I've been using a lot this year as this size fits my set up better. So happy my video inspired you to make similar boards!!
@@vikakvasnik1581 Thank you for letting me know the dimensions. You are brilliant and you have a new subscriber. I would love to see a video of your revised travel set-up for 2022!
@@quinnfitzpatrick7507 Thank you so much!
Which brand/kind of ink do you use that is compatible with fountain pens?
At the moment I use carbon ink by Platinum Co - it is waterproof and suitable for fountain pens as it doesn't clog them like regular Indian ink for dip pens does
Awesome! Thanks for the answer.
I also use Platinum carbon ink. It's a great black but make sure you use it frequently.
@@eileenvalachovic9435 True! If you know you are not going to use your pen for some time it is better to push the ink off the pen back to the bottle, and load it once you are ready to use it again
