2pac's songs weren't exactly chronologically getting sadder, rougher, etc. There are just many facets of individual people that you can write an uplifting song, a song about things you struggle with, and a party song all in the same week, month, year. So many tears and dear momma were released the same year in 1995. 2pac rapped/wrote in the moment, whatever that moment was, whatever was on his mind. In 93' song titles like Strugglin, Soujah's revenge, Keep your head up, and I get around. So I wouldn't say he chronologically sank into some deep abyss that he couldn't escape. He was already there day 1 telling everyone about it through his raps.

I'd like to think I'm tough, raised outta Detroit when the city went bankrupt, but the pain is terrible and I feel lost and hurt with this world. Even now this song resonates with me and brings tears to my eyes when I consider he had already embraced his early death, and humankind still can't seem to love each other. I don't mean to ramble, I just remember this song as a kid, but I feel it now. Thank you

thank you so much for noticing 2pacs tone. soooooooooooooooo many rappers are great with the rapping part and all the aspects of being an emcee and thats great, but 2pac's music made you FEEL what he saying. you felt his pain or anger or even one of my fav 2pac songs ''str8 ballin'' where you can feel the charisma oozing off him. as long as people are still out there living the same struggles he talked about 2pacs music will be timeless.

2.Until The End of Time RP Remix - 2Pac.
    3.Trading War Stories by 2Pac
    4.R U Still Down by 2Pac

I think it would really help understand his songs and his lyrics, to watch the documentaries on his life. Starting with resurrection as I do believe this one has the best clarity to who he really was (not to mention that it’s all narrated in his own voice by editing the endless audio of him out in the world today). When a person knows his story better they’re able to pick up on his lyrics and connect to them better

His 1995 album Me Against The World was full of mostly, personal introspection. This is a bit of a departure from his mostly political lyrics on his previous two albums. The blues sample on this track really brings his lyrics about depression to the forefront. Classic track.

I like your reviews they are so real. This Is my all rime favorite Pac song he speaks to my experiences to the letter. This song resonated with me when it came out fresh out of prison walking through the streets of East Oakland. I could hear this playing from cars. The instrumentation the bigness of the sound, and Pacs voice and words are piercing through. At the time, no other rapper displayed as much raw emotion and pain on a song. This was more or less the first of its kind. In my humble opinion, that is.

Hello Miss Charlene, I don’t know if you’re aware but at the time of Tupac’s video for this song he was locked up for the assault charge so he wasn’t able to be apart of the video shoot. To my knowledge that’s a body double. And what he’s talking about coincide with what he’s going through at that very moment. So that’s why people call him a prophet sometimes, it’s like he spoke things into existence, or spoke as if he knew he didn’t have much more time left.

I lost two friends to murder and two friends to drug overdose. and then adding in poverty and problems with the police its a hard cycle to get out of because you get to the point were you would love to have a house and family and a normal life like everyone else but you get to were you just want to make it through the day so you start just enjoying the day you have and not looking into the future. you just get stuck really and its a extremely hard thing to get past.
