- Diablo 4 is coming out soon and here are my top tips for getting to endgame in the smoothest way possible. Note that if you want to just take your time and enjoy the game please do but some people want to get to WT3 and enjoy the endgame of Nightmare Dungeons, Whispers of the Dead, Helltide, PvP, and more asap.

The D2 music with the vid is awesome 🙏 nice job, good info
Sooo many days left to wait... Thanks for a nice video!

Thank you for spending so much time and making it easier for people to learn quick.
I find your University videos fun and enlightening! Thank you for your effort. Please impersonate Diablo more often and in more light. :)
Same truly thank you
thanks!
I want to take my time so I will listen to this to find things to do.
Crushed beast Bones and other crafting materials you get from dungeon event chests as well, mostly in cellars.
Dude said most people should play on World Tier 1 in less than a minute. Other creators out there take longer than an episode of the Sopranos. Love it!!
Barb all the way first as well. In the Beta and the Server Slam I had Flay, Rend, RC and CS with Rupture going for me and I was holding my own very well. Thanks for this video. Very helpful indeed. Cheers>
Khazra dropped broken beast bones for me reasonably often. Maybe I just killed a lot of them running their stonghold on various characters across the betas. I had 6 level 20 characters during the stress test too (Barb, Sorc, Necro, 3 Druids plus a 16 Druid, I like the druid... 😂) - I have to agree with the elixirs too, even a 5% boost on WT1 running through packs of mobs is a great boost! 👍
4 sho!
Idk why I received a lv37 potion in there that I couldn't use..
The horse is act 2. The guys name was part of the act 2 quest on the map that you couldn't do during beta
Anyone in the ATC will want to go to that quest before finishing Act 1. Probably a good plan for anyone unless they are set on doing the campaign linearly.
@@michaelc565 if it's actually possible to get horse asap like that (skip act1
@@sushi2slushy They've confirmed that you don't have to do the act quest lines in any particular order. Act 2 apparently scales from level 10 so you can walk down that road top/left of the map to visit Scosglen and see what's there for you without being underleveled.
@@michaelc565 alright! Will give it a shot, thanks man!
@@michaelc565 There's always the possibility that they have 'softlocked' the quest by making act 2 a higher level than act 1 areas, not scaling lower. During the server slam there was a stronghold that was level 30, super difficult to beat at lvl 20. But when done and doing the cleansing prayer thing, it didn't turn into a settlement.
So maybe, hopefully not, the quest might not actually be doable or finish able before you're supposed to get there.
Or the act 2 and 3 quests were only sitting there cause of beta. and they won't be available at the start at launch.
Crushed beast bones are likely hard to get in Fractured Peaks by design since it's basically the tutorial area and you aren't expected to have a level three potion until you hit a later area. Some of the other areas will probably see a much higher density of "beast" types, so I wouldn't worry. Consider what level you could end up at when just cruising through the main path in Fractured Peaks. Normally it's only between 16 - 18 if you are skipping everything else, and the requirement is 30 anyway.
As far as elixirs go, it's pretty simple. Keep using the frost one initially if you can afford it since the Frost Shamans were easily the most obnoxious enemies in the entire beta, and use poison on Ashava.
Guessing sosglen will have more beasts, being the druid area and all.
why use frost exilir when its 50% more expensive to make?
Yea, I feel sorry for anybody taking this dudes advice on just about anything when it comes to D4.. you can tell he doesn't Diablo much. Hes gonna be stuck trying to beat the capstone dungeon wondering why he cant because his wt1 drops are shit lol and just grab the alters as you quest by them.. this dudes videos are noob traps.
@@JHenry0311 Nah, he has a lot of really good videos with a lot of great information. Can't always be winners all the time though I guess.
Not sure what you mean about T1 drops though, because T2 isn't going to drop anything different.
He's also not wrong at all about the altars. I had the same conclusion. Sure, grab them if you happen upon them, but don't go out of your way trying to make sure you've grabbed all 28 in each area before moving on. Especially not before getting your horse too. That will slow down your progression overall, especially if you're trying to rush to specific areas that have aspects you need.
@@Neonmirrorblack not gonna drop anything different no.. but wt2 your gonna get more legendaries.. theyve already proven this with the farms .. this is literally the mechanic in every Diablo ever made.. the fact all this false information going around like its not gonna be that way .. is honestly just sad.
People just need to have fun and play through the game.
Useful, thanks!
Hopefully Scosglen will feature more enemies of the "Beast" archetype so those materials may be more available in the full game.
Love these vids, especially the University. Keep em coming!
Nobody should be doing anything "Fast". People just don't enjoy games anymore all they do is play someone else's walkthrough and run through the game full speed then look up guides on his to do and find everything and then set the game down and do it all again with another.
nobody should be telling anyone how to enjoy their game xD if people don't want to take their time in the campaign part of an ARPG maybe they're just veteran ARPG players?
Hopefully you find someone with actually correct information before launch so you dont screw yourself over with this guys videos.
Great job on Helping and being so nice about it :):)
Baleful Fragment is not needed to imprint codex power. As the tooltip says it's only needed to upgrade a legendary weapon. Imprinting codex power costs 6 Veiled Crystal and gold (about 30-40 * item power). I just checked it in your server slam vod and made a clip from it :) This doesn't mean it's worth to imprint a codex power to your main weapon but it's not as expensive as you show in this video. I couldn't find imprint from a dropped aspect in your vod but if you know when you did it you can check. Obviously I wouldn't imprint that to my main weapon even if it was free :)
datamining files would say otherwise, potentially at a higher itemlevel breakpoint, I remember in the beta the level 35 guy's items had better mods and were much more expensive for all reward types to deal with
love the videos and the info !!! thanks don
you're welcome
The altars are easy once you have the waypoints unlocked. I did all of them during the Open Beta weekend in less than 30 min on foot.
well, all the beta ones lol, waaaay more in game
Yooo: Awesome vids , thanks man ! Did you say in an older vid that we can safely "Un-install the beta " ?
correct the devs have said there will be a fresh install that wouldnt use the server slam
I'm just going to have a map up next to me on my second monitor that has lilith statues on it and I'll just collect the ones that are close to me as I'm grinding the story. Then once I finish the story and have my mount I'll go get the remaining ones
Thanks for the great content! - Rokford
thanks!
Wouldn’t the altars be a good thing to do relatively early to get the extra skill points?
I think it's irrelevant early in the game, so much time waste for too little reward if you take in count the other things in the game, but don't forget to collect them all before the season starts.
@@PraY_gc True that renown from them is not great. Agreed.
I mean just do them as you are clearing the area. I will have a map of them up on my iPad next to me
ATC forever!
watching all these, trying to catch up :)
0:58 exactly what I told people who needed to gear up during server slam to prepare for Ashava
While leveling I won't even be worrying about legendary aspects. If I find one that is an upgrade, I'll change my build.
Im trying to grind to 100 hardcore but ive already died twice on level 30. Will I one day conquer my quest? maybe, we will have to wait and see
Agree with everything except altars of Lilith. For hardcore it's one of the most important things you can do. If you die having all those +2stats & +hp & renound for extra skill points is HUGE on another character
yeah personally for HC I'd recommend playing through the game at least once on SC before going to HC but you do you
In my opinion, the additional 5% from Tier 1 potions (100% EXP) compared to the extra 5% from Tier 2 potions (120%EXP) should provide a better result. The higher base percentage combined with the extra boost should lead to a more significant overall improvement.
Irrelevant either way. Finishing campaign will ALWAYS be faster on WT1 and thats all that counts/matter in tho case for efficiency. Faster you get to WT3 more efficient you are.
Also if you are playing in a group it's 5-10% additional exp from group size
i would actually not bother wasting materials for those potions in t1, you already clear so much faster, save it for t2 or when you have a BUNCH.
@@doomzx8284 were beta folks at level 45 when they got to first capstone and had to grind to 50 to clear it. 20% bonus do from T2 sounds a much better idea
Hey man love the vid! I have a question about choosing where to apply legendary powers (LP), I understand the idea on not doing it on early weapons, but at which point do you determine that a pair of boots or gloves or jewelry is "good enough" to stick in a LP? Also can't you just run a codex "imbued" dungeon to require the power again? Or once you get the power in your codex the only way to use it again is by extracting it from whatever item you used it previously?
Anyone have any answers ?
The codex powers from dungeons can be applied repeatedly to gear so there is no need to rerun the dungeon. I would apply any good powers needed for your build as soon as possible to the best items you have. Reroll any stat before you imbue the codex power to save gold and resources
@@nousername5103 That makes sense, thanks!
Maybe don't imprint on the amulet if you have done the Campaign as you will get two Legendries on that amulet, so that leaves Rings and Gloves with Glove being the best option in this case.
yeah the bubble legendary is interesting but id much rather have a +1 brawling/defensive skills over the bubble, then the ammy gives 50% extra power -> use that neck to wt3/4
Ring is best if doing just one since you have 2 ring slots so you can equip the first really good ring you find without thought. There’s solid dmg stats on gloves so you won’t want to just forget that slot.
if you want the bubble you can yoink the amulet aspect and put it on another piece
i didn't get it why one recipe that you show costs less and another higher, it's another power of the codex ?
so its not worth it to imbue legendary aspect on the main weapon..then WHEN is the best time to imbue your best offensive legendary aspect on your main weapon before the T3? as I've heard any legendary aspect you've got in T1/2 WILL NOT be able to imbue on any of the T3 gear? I guess... best timing to imbue best weapon legendary power on main weapon is when you've got the level 45-50 weapon?
likely the biggest roadbump youre going to run into would be capstone, so right before that
and yeah there appear to be different tiers of aspects; however, codex of power is always available
But of course if you're playing Rogue/Barb you can stat stick on if you want
If I party up with friends, how much EXP do I get? How is the EXP split going to work?
Everyone in the party that is in the zone apparently gets the same xp, groups do give an xp buff for nearby party members
mount is a quest in act 2
Do you have a video that covers thorns in Diablo U? Are there any stats or affixes that increase thorns damage other than your main stat? Like, would 5% increased damage buff thorns damage?
guess main stat, generic dmg stat, vuln dmg, phys dmg, and other dmg vs condition types
My question is what is the point or end goal of a leveling build … see how fast to get to 50 but then are they good for end game and like I don’t totally understand the reason of to do it fast and what happens actsr
some people really enjoy campaigns, others like endgame grinds, Im more an endgame grinder
for me a leveling build carries you through the campaign and then the first capstone, then you can pivot depending on how you play to advance through WT3
You wouldn’t recommend collecting all altars of lillith while progressing the story?
not unless they are like super duper close to your main path and there will likely not be maps out day 1
They said we get horses around level 35 if we do a campaign.
Don's down with the ATC!
FYI about the mount quest. It says the quest appears as part of the main Act 2 line and since we can do Acts 1-3 in any order, if you want the mount ASAP, start with Act 2 as soon as you finish the prologue.
says that where? from the playtests it says it's after a quest Donan's Favor, which yes you meet there but seems like will be an important character from clues so youll likely do more than one quest
how does story make sense if you can do acts out of order? is "prologue" done simply right after you meet lorath and arrive at the city
I heard you get it at level 30
Yup, Rod Fergusson confirmed you get your mount at around level 30-35 as part of the campaign, I don't think you can just go and get it after the prologue. Much like going to Inarius' stronghold, you can't just walk in without the prerequisite quest, talking to Vigo, etc. The gates just won't open for you with out certain triggers.
I'm somewhat confused. I want to level up efficiently, so do I build a build from the start, or do I just run any legendary I pick till like level 25?
there's definitely some legendary powers you can drop that would be good but if you get good codex powers/drops you dont want to imprint on your weapon because you will be replacing your weapon a ton
@@DonTheCrown Got it! Thanks for the reply
Question: how do enemies scale while playing with friends? Lets say i play solo, enemy has 100 health. Then i go play with a friend, does the enemy then have 200 health?
they havent really shown how hp scales sadly, I think there is a some sort of multiplier that works alongside mob rarity too
@@DonTheCrown alright, thanks for the response :)
You also have a cool voice, should look into narrating or script reading
I'm playing with friends but the 'waiting on each other part' means I might have to simply hold off on doing any stories so we experience it together, was thinking getting the Lilith altars and clearing dungeons first would be my options xDDD.. do you know if maps are locked by campaign as well? (as in i can't go to other maps outside of act1
nah you can go anywhere but some zones will be much higher level than you at first
@@DonTheCrown thanks!!
King Don
I thought collecting the Lilith altars contribute to your Renown?
yup, and focusing too much on renown early i think is a mistake
Hey, if you can expalin please Chill mechanics, when its come up to 100% chill its become freeze?
fairly sure yes, didnt play cold sorc much tho
I Wonder if they change it with wt1 wt2 so you have more mf ore so…. 🧐 i think they dont want people to force in wt2 so i think it will stay like it its.
ffs... Hearing that music made me install D2R and play again. Why are you doing this!
Music had me feeling all too nostalgic
I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand the tip about not applying powers to your weapon, but instead on your amulet or gloves. Why is this?
coz u will be changing weapons evry 5 lvls or so ,will be a waste of resorces and gold , the gloves and amulet will be good till lvl 50 more or less
you basically want to equip every sizeable weapon upgrade possible, when you have a key legendary passive on the weapon it raises the cost to replace from free to materials/gold/time so don't block your progression by putting leggo powers on weapons, also you'll likely not have very many leggos anyways so not like youll run out of space
Highest rank is 20. But highest you can possibly reach in current game is 18 probably.
What does tier world 1 mean ? Sorry I am lost .
this video should help you out: ruclips.net/video/ACdIbGbnkmg/видео.html
Can you craft a codex on a legendary and have 2 power in the same item ?
no, each item can only have one
Just a friendly reminder...
"Given the opportunity, players will optimise the fun out of a game."
Sid Meier 😉
yeah i generally dislike campaigns in ARPGs, it's not really the fun part for me ever, get me to the endgame systems
T2 is still very easy and 20% xp is allot. If you struggle to clear I get doing T1, but if you have a good clear build or playing in a group T2 is the way to go
that's not really how math works, if you're slower at all youre getting less gear, less gear = less clear
@@DonTheCrown if you are slow you need to learn to play the game because it’s super easy and outside of a random weird boss mechanic or two the clear on my sorc, necro, range and twisted rogue was super fast and easy. I’m here for toxic builds in the fields of hatred and that’s all.
hey man, can you make your videos a bit louder please?
I don't understand why blizzard invests so much time and effort on creating so much useless stuff in their games... big talent tree but only few of them are really useful and the rest of them will never be used. Same for items, aspects, etc.... Same mistake in WOW
Sure, if you imprint on your weapon it'll cost more gold to extract and imprint on an upgraded weapon again. But at the same time, if the aspect is interesting, it might help you get more XP and more gold for a few levels, that might easily cover the cost of extracting + imprinting again. So I don't think the answer's as easy as "never imprint your weapon".
Stop telling me how badly I have been sucking at the game, ITS PAINFUL....!
Aspect of exposed flesh is lucky hit brah, not cracked at all, that will barely proc. Wouldn’t even run that in a spear build.
Bone spear has 50% lucky hit, per hit, and unless you 1 shot you hit multiple times cause the 3 or 5 shards come back. So you could get 6 hits on a single target so thats 19-26.5% chance to proc per target if you hit all the shards but since you're likely throwing spears into packs this aspect procs A LOT. Even a mid roll is basically a full refund, incredibly strong power.
@@DonTheCrown 50 that’s wild, great LH there.

TL:DW Idk why this needed to be a 12 minute video.
1: Play in World Tier 1
2: Take your main damaging skills to level 5 on the skill tree
3: Don't put legendary aspects on your damaging weapons. (Personally if it's a dungeon aspect I think it's probably fine)
4: Codex of Power is OP. Don't rely on Legendary Aspects that are drop only.
5: Don't ignore Gathering as you explore the world.
6: It's probably better to wait to do 100% zone completion until you have a mount.
sounds like you have a bright future making super fast videos, looking forward to watching your video about the topic
@@DonTheCrown I'm glad we'll be able to trade views that way! 🙃
If you say tier 1 is better even without the 20% xp bonus from tier 2, then 5% from potions isn’t worth it either.
