You are THE BEST teacher I've found. So much useful advice in so short an amount of time, and you really choose the most essential to share. I LOVE your videos!
I know im late to the session here, but your advice about adapting your process to the needs of the pose struck a very important point for me. So often i feel the need to start with the basic building blocks, when in fact it could be making the process unnecessarily more difficult. Love your channel, thank you sir!
Your videos are very informative useful.Would be of great help if you could upload more tutorials on gestures and proportions. Please continue posting your videos!
Awesome job Richard!, thanks for the class. It made me remember my Cuban art teacher back in 2004 at my college. I'll continue my practice after these years with no follow-up in human shape drawing.
Dear Mr Smitheman, Thank you for making these wonderful videos. You really helped me improve my sketch of human body!🙆♀️ Please continue to publish these high-quality videos. I really, really want to learn from you more. Looking forward to seeing you in the video again. Thank you. 🙆♀️🙆♀️
I’d love to see some more use of perspective in figure drawings. Like adding perspective lines and trying to make the drawing in 3 dimensional space. It’s hard to understand without some of those visual cues.
Beautiful drawing Richard. As a music teacher and performer - less is more is something I talk about, but find it very difficult for even seasoned musicians to understand.
I really appreciate how are you driving pictures. I think that you are drowning the body poses from really amazing sides/angles... I would like to know how to plan to drow a body shape of any angle like this? I don't know how to start to plan it? I hope you understand what I mean. This could be a good topic for a new lesson tutorial.
Gah, I remember my last figure drawing class. It was so weird. We were drawing my 23-year-old former neighbor. She and I barely acknowledged each other. She was n@ked. So damn uncomfortable for me. I had to have a textbook on my lap because she was... _beautiful,_ if you know what I mean...
He's back!

I don't use perspective lines in the way you're describing, It's more of an internal process. Thanks
Great tips as always
please do more videos!! your sketches are great inspiration for me
Very helpful. Thanks
Keep it up!! Awesome!
Come back teacher we need you!
Welcome back :). Learning so much from watching your demos and have seen some improvement in my own work. Please continue!

Yay! Helped me so much.
We missed you!!
how do you chose were to place the guide line/figure that conects the torso to the lower body? it starts at 0:37
Another great lesson!

Thanks! Yes, as a musician myself especially with improvisation this is a hard thing to teach. People want to play complicated!
Welcome back.
