    Yes, that does help. I agree that pose isn't very dramatically foreshortened, but quite enough to be a little tricky. Great seeing it being expressed so clearly by what is after all a fairly simple process. Really like the quick tonal marks expressing the lower legs, that shows such confidence in your work! :)

      I find I get most subtlety with the my fingers, sometime a bit of tissue for larger areas or a blending stick, hope that helps!

    what's the ases? You say at 1:20 the cases and the iliac crest. sorry about the spelling, I don't recognise the word.

      ASIS. Anterior superior iliac spine. I dicuss it in the figure drawing fundamentals, lesson 1 video. It's an important landmark for us to be aware off.
