I have the turboless 3.5L and ran into the same issue. This started after using Castrol branded oil and doesn't occur after an oil change with Valvoline or Mobile 1. Hopefully this helps someone.
sad news.... My Taurus got hit by a guy that was at a stop sign and stopped, but as I was turning into the corner where he was, he came out and hit my car. he assumed I was going straight so I didn't argue much with him. the Taurus is in the shop at the moment, let me see if I can find a video online of someone doing a good job showing where the sensor is
Bottom... The sensor is closer to the bottom but more between the oil filter and the oil pan. I would1 jack on the passenger side and a jackstand. If you attempt to do this from the top then you might have to face the Hot coolant hose and the heat shield for the cat it also nearby
you may be able to reach from the top down but may have to deal with the hot coolant hose and hot Cat so Yes, I used a jack and jack stand because some oil will come out, not a lot and wait until the engine has cooled down... that block can be 🔥 5he sensor is closer to the bottom but more between the oil filter and the oil pan
I’ve changed my sensor but issues still there. I do notice when you stop quickly, it will turn the light on. Oil level is full according to the dipstick. And it looks like there’s plenty of oil flowing with the oil cap removed. I’m puzzled.
hey, If you replaced it and its still doing that I would go ahead and have the engine looked at or actually first go back to the sensor and disconnect it and reconnect it ( in hopes that the connector was just loose)
Anybody help me out I have a Ford Taurus 2013 with catalytic converter problem where can I get one for chip and witch ones do I get front passenger or driver idk?.. also my tire pressure light is on … but all my tires are full with air??
First with the tires thing, have a shop put the Taurus in tire train mode and reset all of the tires. while doing this 1 or more of the tires may have a bad sensor. (A bad TPMS will cause the tire light to actually flash but go back to steady on) I will do a video showing how soon, my Ford sensor trainer is at my job so I cant do it this weekend. 1.20.23 now for the Cat. I would not go cheap... grab a Ford Catalytic Converter those 02 sensors are MAAAAAAADDDDD sensitive. Bank 1 should be closes to Driver/Firewall/Steering wheel and Bank 2 should be near the Front/Radiator/Grille. you should see a code saying something like Bank 1 or 2 Efficiency Below Threshold. on my car, it was Bank 1 that went bad at 79k so under the 80k warranty Ford replaced it for FREEEEEEE. so if your under 80k go NOW to Ford and have it done.

@@jasmineanderson9029 nope. I believe it may be a computer issue. I have seen people with the Ford focus do this weird thing where they turn accessorie power on, then turn it off, let it sit for 15 seconds, then turn the engine on and its good. But this never worked for my taurus.
@@JonboyKoi ok. Mine did this for the second time today and once a month ago. I'm in Houston where it is normally HOT and humid. It has been like 30 degrees here for a couple days and I was wondering if the weather had anything to do with it.
lol sometimes i do wish i was rich. BUT if i was people would be after me for that cha-ching. I did replace it because I didn't know if I actually had lost any oil. I want to try make my car last longer
had the same issue. Changed the oil, filter, checked the pump and no luck. It was the sensor after all. Hope this helps

How bad was yours leaking oil? Mines leaking oil a lot but only while running
Mine never leaked really, just the pressure sensor went bad. Now during replacement, a fee drops came out, nothing to be worried about
Did you have to get the cat done or o2 sensor??
I have the Ford Taurus sel 2015 is there any way you show or explain how to replace the part that say low engine oil pressure?
Sure can

Did you change out the sensor from the top or the bottom? If from the bottom were you able to get to it with normal ramps?

Please how did you fix yours cause I’m having the same issues
I have the same issue. When I come to a stop sign, it pops on, when I hit the has, it goes away. And this is not a consistent problem. Its random.
Mine just started doing this. Have you found the issue? I'm in a 2012 Ford Taurus.

This glitch is killing me its so stupid i hate ford.
I hate Ford because of where the water pump is located... everything about this car I can deal with
