    Thanks for the peek at the internals. And for the balanced take. Yes, it's expensive, but everyone else's videos on this knife are basically histrionic screeching.

    Thanks for the video. Some one gave me a Benchmade Narrows because he thought it was defective. This video, help me a) take it apart, b) realize that it wasn't defective and c) why it costs what it costs. I wouldn't have been able to put it back together without this. While I agree it is pricey, the bearings are insane and the materials topnotch.

    I didn’t know about this knife until a local shop salesman pointed it out to me (because of the thinness and the cost). In hand it felt too thin. My impression of this knife is benchmade showing off its engineering, in a product that might be collectible in the future. I appreciate your review because you take it apart. It comes apart very easily compared to other benchmades, only 3 screws! Also, I was super interested to see this new axis lock. One spring in full view seems pretty good compared to 2 hidden springs. I wonder if we will see this version in upcoming products?

    Hey I wanted to inform you that disassembly no longer voids the warranty. As per Benchmade policy (and also multiple of their customer service reps) you can disassemble the knife fully as many times as you want. However if you are unable to reassemble it, you must ship it to them and then the warranty is voided. However with a $20 fee the knife is reassembled and the warranty is REINSTATED!

    I will probably end up getting one, but I wish they would have done something nicer for the pocket clip. It's a great functional clip for the Bugout and even other models but I would prefer something more premium for this knife. Great job on the video, very helpful.

    I almost feel you could have those two pieces of spring that tension the mechanism against the scale, pop out of the scale thus stopping the lock from staying locked when deployed. The recesses in the titanium don't seem to be deep enough to stop that from being a thing that could happen. Maybe it's fine though idk

    • @Lemon_Sage9999
      @Lemon_Sage9999 Год назад

      I doubt that it's a significant issue, but I see your point, there's no retention for that essential component of the lock (not to mention it looks like it could snap if you sneezed on it)

      Price is subjective as I’m sure many will buy it. I do agree it’s high compared to what is out there that’s USA made. Look at recent HT tests. "Provisions that tie warranty coverage to the use of particular products or services harm both consumers who pay more for them as well as the small businesses who offer competing products and services," Thomas B. Pahl, acting director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection, said in a statement released Tuesday.
      Specifically, the agency explained, those provisions violate the 1975 Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which bars companies from conditioning their warranties on demands that consumers use certain articles or services in connection with the original product.
      You are right it is against the law for benchmade to say if anyone but them services the knife that it voids the warranty.
