I never seen anybody swing at speeds above 155 mph and hit the ball in the center of the clubface almost every single time. This man is gifted folks. Great video.
@@Zonydeep Gotten 140's many times without any training I keep asking one of these longdrive guys to take me under their wing yet continue to be ignored, will just train and beat these assholes I guess?
Please, way more of this! Seeing the reps in real time, including the mini-swings in between, is super helpful for learning. I'd love to hear even more description of what you are feeling throughout the swing. Are there any "false feels" that you accentuate while training? Bending, snapping, turning, pushing, etc? THANK you for sharing all of this!
Great video Kyle! You should show more Long Drive training like this video in the future and show your workout routines to develop fast twitch muscles.
@Kyle Berkshire what is the grip firmness ratio . Left hand vs Right hand ? At this much club head speed, do you have to grip both left and right equally firm? Thanks
This video inspired me to try and swing like you today. It was so strange to just abandon accuracy for speed and yet I hit my drives way further than ever before and straight. I did this on the range with my teaching Pro and he was well impressed. Can't wait to try it on the course. So i'm gonna keep doing it! Thanks for the inspiration.
Excellent Kyle! I am old and work on my game. You are showing things that are real world feel in the golf swing. I have improved watching your videos. I predict you will eventually swing in the 160s with 250 ball speed.
Big fan Kyle! Inspirational, went out and did some speed training with some of ur moves, got up to 128. Being 5’8 on a good day that’s way beyond what I need! Love the content.. look fwd to more.
Amazing video. I love seeing how to increase my own speed. As someone whos not very tall (5'8") any distance i can gain is a huge help. I love videos like this that help my own golf game, even if its a different sector of golf (long drive vs competitive golf). Love the content and need more!
I can't wait to see you at Hobe Sound. I've had my baseball swing giving me bad golf habits and I can see what I need to fix. Best of luck to you on getting that muscle memory back to optimum consistency
Play at Tradition Golf Club in La Quinta California, beautiful course on the mountains and has been in top 100 golf courses. Been a member for 8 years and it’s one of the best golf courses.
Kyle's first swing is like my wedge swing and gets 135 mph clubhead speed 🙃Not that he doesn't work his bum off but some people are just special! Love your vids Kyle and letting us into your ideas for improvement, so inspiring!
The loose wrists using physics as much as possible is something I found out grinding on my sim as well. That extra club speed is a surprise to the grip as the club really wants to escape vs more locked/stiff wrists.
Great video Kyle thanks for posting. Interested to hear about activating your wrists more which is what I am working on at the moment as well. Just wondering what your grip pressure is, 10 being max. I have found about 3 works best for me and gripping in the bottom 3 fingers of the left hand only, really keeps everything fluid. I use a baseball grip and actually lift my left fourfinger off completely to ensure. My right fourfinger is placed down the shaft at address so there is gap between the other fingers and acts as a trigger at the top of the backswing. Just wondering what you do with your hands and fingers. Cheers
Loads of natural talent/strength, not a lifting strength but outward..or throwing, and now we see the dedication it takes if one wants to be the best! Lots of it. Great video Kyle.....I keep hearing this loud "thwaaappp!!!", lol!
i dont think people realize what this guy is doing for the sport. could not care less whether he wins championships or not. game is about numbers. this is like watching usain bolt in his prime. greatest ambassador.
@kyle Berkshire how often are you going through driver heads, when doing this? What's the type of ball you are training with when doing this? Also do you find much difference from loft from playing golf rounds to doing long drive stuff? And definitely love this types of video. 👍👊
What type of grip do you have kyle? It doesn't look like a thick grip. I know some say that you get better speed with a thicker grip, but I think that might depends on the person. What are your thoughts on that?
Hi Kyle, Would you be able to talk about your breathing routine that you follow when actually making a shot. ie: do you hold your breath whilst swinging or do you exhale or perhaps eevn take a breath proir to making the swing ?
That's hard work! Very interesting to watch and impressive. Thanks for the inside look at your training. I had noticed that at a certain point your swing seemed to get a little shorter and I wondering if it was intentional and now I know the answer. I'm wondering if using more knockdown iron swings as you did during your Cobra fitting is somewhat tweaking your long drive swing as your body moves back and forth between different mechanics. Cheers.
I was tinkering today at the range and was thinking about how I went from a 115mph clubhead speed a couple years ago to 111ish but dramatically narrowed my dispersion. I realized I lost the speed because I was locking my wrists. I messed a little bit with letting my wrists hinge again and my accuracy became TERRIBLE, lol. Good to know that even a long driver like you can run into similar habits when playing for score :D
Hey Kyle, love the drive you have from long-drive to playing some seriously good golf round the course, your hard work doesn't go a miss. Love the grind keep it up
It probably wouldn't tell you much, but I wonder what the speed of your backswing is? Hearing the club wooshing as you take it back is impressive! Love the videos!
Kyle may I suggest you do a video explaining what's happening with your front foot hyperextension on follow through, swing mechanics and your swing thoughts in that regard Not to be too technical, just keep it simple 🤔
This is exactly what I like, thanks, so it looks like the chest upper body whips the arms back and through, but yet your works on arms wrists while maybe extending the left wrist to the max? Thanks again
I might shoudlnt share this but,I just saw martin broke the speed record and i think you could beat it either after reading this Have you try to emphassise brake at impact and right after? he said he gain the last piece of the ultimate sequence when focusing on slowing the motion at impact he gain this suprising gain of speed and i see its because when you apply brake at impact it give a countersupport for the arm to gain speed in the last 12inch before impact. In slow motion we see our feets are almost flowting in the air at impact. Applying break at impact, after having load the back swing shift the weight in the feont hips and counter support from the legs for the upper boddy to finish after the hips have explode shift turning the arm need a second oposite force by pushing oposite of everything we did we give the arm this little extra for them to continue gaining speed. If we only full explode to target there is a decelation because there is conter part after the hips have shift turn At this level those little details can change everything and kyke i see you beet this record 236mph ball speed
I had noticed that about your top position the last two months or so. What do you think was the cause of it? All the best for the rest of the LD season.
Funny because I really thought you voluntarily stopped hinging the wrists extremely to prevent injury/gain more control. I guess hinging is necessary to get those extra mph CHS?
Keep up with this kinda video. I'am trying to break my personal best of 350 yds on course. But im trying to break the 360 370 mark. What are you doing in your work out sessions to give you that Extra edge going into your practice sessions?
I think sometimes the lag-load is ideal and that yields more ball speed. Your power of body torque sometimes, to me, looks greater, yet ball speed doesnt increase. Even takeaway can affect lag - load as u know. Got me puzzled.
