Great to see Micah doing work with a smaller channel. A lot of RUclipsrs get a little arrogant when they get big and think it’s only worth their time to collaborate with equal sized channels.
Every video I've watched of @Micahmorrisgolf he has been very down to earth and genuine. Something to definitely appreciate from a golfer that is as good as he is. Don't see that a lot from others. Good work Luke!
I AM LUKE. Low single figure with same max clubhead speed, same ball speed, and pretty much same swing as Luke. People tell me it looks like Im just feathering it out there when I feel like I'm swinging out of my shoes. Slow twitch. I can play golf in Stan Smiths or basic tennis shoes because I don't utilize the ground. This is good to see - thanks for posting.
Glad I found this video, thank you to the algorithm.. at 58, I am on the journey to get back to where I was in my 20's swing speed wise.. I realized from this video, my left leg needs more strength to pop off long drives. You can see Micah has that spring in his legs. At 5'9", I was able to dunk a tennis ball, and now I am lucky to hit the net.. That changes today.. Great to see Luke ramping it up, that was really cool.. Let's go!!!
Luke you and me are around the same swing speed im around 105-108 on the course and i have really been considering doing some speed training. This is awesome. Good work.
Love the vibe with you two! Not sure who the third was - Grant? But more importantly, good to see young men of faith being successful and supporting one another.
Awesome vid thanks guys, the casting feeling really resonated with me, this is exactly what I feel when I’m hitting drives and can now get the odd one to 300 👍😅
Probably because of his poor on course attitude (he seems to have improved this lately) and because he often talks and acts like a Tour player but plays more like a low level club pro. I do agree that the level of criticism seems to exceed reality.
@@user-pw3qb1fn5r I feel it is sad that people in our society like to tear down people that share their dreams and are actively trying to chase those dreams. It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there. Funny thing is he is much better than prob 99% of the haters; a lot better.
I’m 5.7 been working on my drive for a while. the hardest thing for me to learn was hitting up on the ball. I wish I had someone like Micah around to help back then.
Be curious to hear more about S&T.. I know there is a stigma with a system swing but S&T has some golden nugget swing ideas. Since adopting more and more S&T into my swing, really started to play solid golf ans lowering my HC
Great video, just a little clarification, due to how Foresight & Trackman measure swing speed, the max smash factor is different. Foresight max smash factor is 1.45 while Trackman is 1.50. You might occasionally see 1.46 or 1.51 but they are good rules to go by. This is also why foresight swing speed will be higher than trackman. Usually the difference between them is 2-3mph which foresight reading higher. Keep this in mind when hitting on both machines.
Luke... Do all the things Micah is telling you to do, and hit the hack squat machine at your gym hard. Add to that functional trainer core work, also at your gym. Micah helping you and strength training, you'll bomb it.
I hold my fricken breath when I was swinging too. My golf buddy mentioned it to me. So basically you don’t need swing aids to get faster, just gotta train like this
May the Force be with you. Did I just say that, really? Golf isn't hard, it just takes a little practice, with somebody with the knowledge and is willing to pass it on. Dude. I find Michah to be the most boring golf RUclipsr. That said, I loved this video. I feel like I just met the real Michah and he was super cool and helpful and gracious and well spoken. He was the most comfortable in his own skin I’ve ever seen. I get him now. He should do teaching videos. This was rad. Thanks.
@@Dirtdiver325- I may try his channel again. I previously subscribed but quit watching him due to his poor on course attitude. It was REALLY off putting. luke please please please start some weight lifting and speed training. gotta take advantage of your mid 20's and gather some distance and make those qualifiers easier
just another way to hit farther, hold the release longer..some people release at the top, or just starting on the way down..hold it almost at the bottom..just sayin
here is the secret sukkas, listen up. you have to slap the ball with the palm of your right hand and/or the back of your left hand, whatever works for you to get the proper hand movement, THE TRICK IS WHAT MICAH SAID, you have to do this early in the down swing. you slap the ball with the palm of the right hand, at the end of the swing your right palm and back of left hand faces towards you. you must do this motion early in the downswing. you do it early, and fast and you use your body as a post. it will feel like your body moves backwards while the hands and arms move forward and down the line.
look at the hands of professional golfers at the completion of the swing. you will see the back of the left wrist facing the golfer. you will see the palm side of the right hand facing the golfer. but, you got to start it very early on the downswing. take the club back and to start the downswing you quickly, fastly, with great speed ,,,,,flex the right palm to the right wrist. a right handed palmer flexion. @@danmyers9372
thanks for all you do. watching tour putting is difficult at times. especially when pros stand and look at a 25 ft putt they have missed, or look at their caddie as if its their fault. drives me nuts. ya missed it. go up and mark the ball or carefully tap it in. But to stand there?? it just slows down an already slow round, and its an antic. with respect, i wish the tour would counsel players who do this.

Hey how about I fly out and you do this for a fan? What a great video that’d be.. 👀⛳️ 🏌️♂️
So how do I get in with a speed training sesh with micah? lol
Pretty cool to see Micah passing his knowledge on after gathering so much knowledge from so many professionals over the years.

He talks about going pro but he can’t break 80 in a tournament. So people laugh at his delusion
