Glad you enjoyed it! I love hearing so! I know Leland and Donnie are pleased with everyone's response too. I didn't have to do anything but point the camera - they did all the interesting stuff, lol
Thanks Hannah! I didn't have to do much for this one except turn the camera on. Leland and Donnie deserve all the credit for keeping it interesting. You'd probably love getting to sit and listen to these guys talk. There was just as much discussion going on off camera between shots. I could listen to them all day. Hope you're doing well! Really appreciate you stopping in and dropping a line
Thanks Tammy! Yes, the collection there is breath taking. Even if you can't make it to the show, I'll be sure and do another video there so you can see some of it
Very cool. I find overshot flakes everywhere around here. Great video. I picked up a couple nice'un's the other day. Going out again today. These rains have been really washing them out. L8r shadow thanks for the video. Loved it!
I know they'll probably both see this comment and really appreciate it. I'm just honored that I could be there to point the camera and capture the discussions
15:15 I was explaining this EXACT thing to someone today!! Im so glad someone else brought that up. This video truly deserves more attention. I loved the ideas discussed here, especially the atlatl vs the compound bow. All three of you make the best convo group to exist, you can see how the personalities are just glowing off of the same interest of artifacts. I learned more here in this video than I have in months of research 🙌🏻 that story of those little carved stones was crazy! I can’t imagine the realization after taking it outta my mouth. Enjoyed bro!
What luckto be able to meet and talk with these two. They are both books of artifact and cultural knowledge. I'd been as skittish as a school girl headed to prom. Home Grown is knowledgeable in gardening to. God knows what his limits are. I enjoy his post. I walk away with something every time. He's easy to understand when explaining things. I have a laboratory magnifier. I'd still like to have one. The price is right for them. The one I have is almost 3k. I got lucky. Got mining a trade. Thanks for your time and effort. We need more information like this.
I couldn't agree with you more. They are both a wealth of information and interesting conversation. I was very fortunate, indeed. Thanks for taking time to watch!
@lelandshanks3590 That's interesting. I clean out houses rentals and going on the market part time. I find a few antique fishing reals and baits. I just give my brother a few reals and a hand full of baits. I restored my dad's metal Victor tackle box this winter. I found out in the process that back in the day. If you needed a fishing real you had to go see the local watch maker. I didn't know that. Been fishing all my life. Had no idea. Man the world was primitive befor BassPro Shops and slice bread. I run across any more that doesn't seem to be common. I'll share it on email with you. Thanks.
Thank you for this! Leland is Legit! Im going to try my best to get my schedule where i can make the show. Going to bring most of my finds down if i come. I just sent him a dalton adze this week. Cant wait for the next video!
Yes, Leland and Donnie are both the real deal! I think Leland really enjoys your channel, he sent me pics of that adze yesterday. Thing is awesome! Will be awesome if you can make it to the show. We've got at least a couple other Missouri boys that come down and setup displays. Jake Matthews and WMO Trails are usually there
Loved the show brother. There is so much that we guess at or assume that artifacts were used for. It's great to learn from someone who has been doing it for so long
I enjoyed watching as much as you did, haha! I didn't have to do much for this video except sit and listen like the rest of you. It was a real honor and it's an honor for me to have the opportunity to share it with you all.
Very cool, I could listen for hours. How about going live, maybe when you're all at the show 🤔 afterwards of course. I wish I lived nearby. GL next hunt 👍
I think we'll probably do more of this type of thing in the future so keep your eyes peeled. As for the live stream - that's something that does interest me but I need to educate myself on it a little bit more first
Guau amWow friend, I never imagine seeing these two friends together talking about what they like. I am proud to have as a subscriber a great expert like Leland. In this video I learned unsuspected things. I have seen Leland in several videos identifying and validating spikes and other artifacts. Greetings also to Donnie, blessings in your paths.
It was a pretty cool surprise, wasn't it?! Yes, Leland is a very knowledgeable guy. He and I often discuss your videos and the amazing things you find. In fact, we were discussing you the day we shot this video but it was while we weren't filming. Thanks Coyote!
Aaron, It's nice that these two gave you the time to gain some knowledge. I would consider myself lucky. I wish I had 1/100 th the smarts these two gentleman had. I have book upon book but these gentlemen have the hands on finds to be able to study. They say knowledge is key. I always wondered why I was told by a professor at the Museum of Natural History why my bone point is a one of a kind? I would love to get a better explanation as to why? I most likely will never know. Wish I had friends like these two. This is one heck of a video for this community. Thank you to all. Many blessings.
Thank you, Kevin! It was a really great day for me and I'm glad I can share it. You might ask Leland about your bone point, he loves getting to see what people have. Even if he only gets to see pictures, he may still have some insight to offer you. I'd like to see it too just for the cool factor!
