  • George Reeves played Superman on the 1950's TV show by the same name. While he was not buried in Cincinnati, his body was held here, at White Pine Chapel in Spring Grove Cemetery, for about six months before he was cremated. 19,287

    I grew up in the 50s with George Reeves as "Superman."
    He will "live on" in my mind as the ONLY "Superman."
    Soar high, George.

    I spent 11 years documenting the burial places of Union Civil War soldiers at Spring Grove Cemetery about 6700 in all. It is a beautiful place.

    Do not believe that George killed himself.

      I don't think he did either. Unfortunately his name has been sullied by the allegation of suicide. It's sad.

      do you believe reeves killed himself like they say, or murder, just askin

    • @ErvTV
      @ErvTV  8 лет назад

      You know, that's a good question. Did Reeves kill himself? I don't know. I love true crime. I also love a good conspiracy theory, but will admit I have not studied this case in detail. I don't really think so.Have you seen the movie Hollywoodland?

    • @Volaris27
      @Volaris27 8 лет назад +2

      no i have'nt see the movie but i will when i get the chance. the only books i read are always True Crime. Ive collected so many and ran out of storage space and regretfully i resorted to selling quite a few in my yardsale. I believe Marilyn Monroe was murdered, as well as Anna Nicole Smith, Whitney Houston, and prolly her daughter too, theres too many names to mention. way too many. Im only 15 mi. from the Lizzie Borden house and have been inside 3 times already with my daughter. they dont allow us to take pix. sad

    hey fellow tuber! isn't that a gorgeous place. my little grandson is buried there and I THINK my grandfather. I don't really want to buried; prefer cremation, but that is certainly a lovely, peaceful cemetery.
    I'm not much of a movie goer ... what is Hollywoodland about? That was the original name, wasn't it? Now I'm going out on a limb and guessing the movie is about murders. Am I right? Keep churning out the videos. They are good!

      +Donna Adams yes, hollywoodland was about the death George Reeves the man who played Superman on television. Some people feel that it wasn't a suicide, that there were way too many facts that didn't line up in the case. It's an interesting movie, told from two different perspectives. I really enjoyed it, and perhaps I should watch it again soon.
