AUDIOPHILE QUALITY FOR $50! : Superlux HD668B Headphones

- Ok, so I have had a lot of people tell me I needed to try these out and I finally got around to doing just that. With a few adjustments do these become the steal of the century when it comes to headphones?

I’m an “audiophile” and I have these in my collection. They sound fantastic out of the box. The ear pads are hard but that doesn’t bother me. Some people find the treble overly bright but most people like them. I use them for DJ style mixing and general listening. I also have headphones of all prices (only going up to £500 so nothing high end) and these are a worthy pair in my collection. Buy them they are a steal.👍
just ordered 668b and velour earpads, my first openback headphone.
I've been using this headphone since 2010 and still working perfectly
ive had these for a longggg time now.
Would you recommend the Cosmos velvet earpads over the HIFIMAN velour earpads?
How you can choose earpads for this headphones?
any advice on which case to buy for this headset ?
im looking for some new headphones for gaming and i dont know if i should get a headset or headphones with mod mic. for a headset i found the sennheiser game ones but i dont know what headphones to get and i dont want to buy a amp. any suggestions other then these only want to spend the same price as the game ones?
How good/bad the low end is? Im using a KZ Zs3 IEMS earphones. Will the low end on that 668b be better than my current driver?

How can you compare them with same budget ATH M20X. Which is better in between these two.
I have the Superlux HD681 for 5 years now and had to replace coz the connection starts to fail. I decided to go for HD668B just for a change. They sound very different if you ask me. Hd681 in my opinion have bigger soundstage and is brighter and has more clarity. But it can sound 'piercing' after a few hours listening. It is slightly more comfortable than the HD668B..i can feel the flap thingy on HD668B pressing on my head and bit unpleasant after 1 or 2 hours wearing them. Hd668B has a slightly more warmth to its sound. I still like them both (i still have another pair of HD681). These headphones are cheap.

Got these, had them for a while, then the cable broke inside the earcup, thankfully, very easy to do maintenance on, fixing was not an issue. I then at some point got a dac with a option for balanced output. I went and added a 4 pole audio jack, so each ear driver gets separately driven. Then this thing really became super alive... (also probably because the dac/amp can output more power in balanced mode)... I really recommend if you have the option for balanced out put to make them balanced... they really are amazing sounding.
Hey, have you tested the Samsón SR950 ? If you have, do you think the HD688 are better or the Samon’s ?
