In the Arkham games, he became the Arkham Knight (a mockery of Batman) and THEN he becomes Red Hood. Definitely recommend watching the "Batman: Under the Red Hood" animated movie for a better look at his character.

The tapes are fantastic (especially love the City ones with Strange interviewing the villains), but its a long shot to get them to react to that. At some point im sure they want to move on from the game and they didnt even watch the ending.

In the comics Jason chose the name Red Hood after he was resurrected because it was the identity Joker used before he became Joker and fell in the vat of acid that turned his skin bleach white and made his hair green. Jason figured that it would be ironic for him to use the former identity of the man who murdered him. Tim Drake was the third Robin and in the comics he is in a teenager and Barbara Gordon in the comics is in a relationship with Dick Grayson.
You guys watched the DLC which is POST GAME content before watching Knightfall Protocol (ending of the main game) and side missions (during the main game).
The choice to pair up Barbara and Tim always perplexed me. She and Nightwing are one of those forever couples. Like Spider-Man and MJ, or Superman and Lois.
Funny you mention about the strength of these characters. When you play as Batgirl in the dlc or even Catwoman you will notice a strength difference in their moves, with them relying more on kicks than punches. When Batgirl rips a metal cover from a electrical junction, she first strikes it with her shoulder then uses both hands and exerts more effort. A nice detail showing the strength difference.
BTW, you guys should consider watching Batman Under The Red Hood. The Red Hood DLC and many elements of the main story draw inspiration from it. It will add to your understanding of the lore of Batman.
Just watch knightfall protocol it’s 5 mins long and it’s the official end to the main game which you questioned earlier… it’ll give context to the DLC’s... just… just watch the bloody thing.
A thing about Dick Grayson (Nightwing) is that he's truly pure of heart. Even more than superman which supes states himself. Funnily enough, Dick Grayson's robin was the first popular kid/teen superhero which influenced the making of Spider-Man. You can tell by how similar they are in personality. Both quip a lot while putting down their foes. There was a recent comic where superman's son got lost flying and nightwing and bats found him but he was scared of Bruce's mask so Dick took his and Bruce's mask off and ensured him that they were friendly. Then he made the kid feel better by taking a lollipop from Bruce's belt which he places it by the smoke bombs. Bruce also states that nightwing is what Batman is supposed to be. Another fun fact, Nightwing is immune to scarecrow's fear gas bc he has nothing to fear. Joker also despises him bc he's the only robin with a sense of humor

In the comics after Batman found and buried Jason Todd, Ra's AL Ghuls men stole Jason's body and placed a fake one inside the coffin. They then lowered Jason's body into the Lazarus Pit. He then was resurrected and donned the Red Hood mantle.
if you guys want more of that teen titans type of show, you should definitely watch Young Justice. It's so incredibly good. Has basically the entire DC universe.
Before the game came out, the developers tried to hype up the Arkham Knight character as an "original character created for the story" despite the fact that majority of people had already guessed that it was Jason Todd and even after they said it, he still remained the one most people thought it was going to be. Despite the Arkham Knight being the title character of the game and yet often feels like a complete afterthought and the whole "Arkham Knight" identity kind of felt like an excuse to include the word Arkham in the title. And regarding Jason's "death" wasn't staged. He was in Africa looking for his biological mother and to his surprise found Joker blackmailing her and was later beaten by him until Joker killed Jason by blowing up the building he was in with explosives and Batman finds his body but Jason is later resurected by Talia al Ghūl whereas in the game it's stated that Jason was held captive for over a year in an abandoned part of Arkham Asylum. It just feels like a poorly thought out plot twist that even people who took a quick galnce the Jason Todd's wiki coud figure out this was an adaptation of Jason as Red Hood by having him as the Arkham Knight.

Fun fact: Barbara is usually paired with Dick Grayson (Nightwing). They have gotten married in the Convergence run, & in comics right now, they are going strong in Tom Taylor’s run. Recommend to read Batgirl: Year One so you can see the blossoming of their relationship. It seems they adapted their dynamic and banter to Tim instead. Usually Barb plays more of a big sister role to Tim. Why they chose this route for Arkham Knight, idk 🤷🏻♀️
I was wondering how they were going to handle all these DLCs. It’s so confusing trying to organize them. Some happen before and some after the main story. The Tim and Barbara relationship has always been a bit awkward in these games. It’s always been Dick (Nightwing) and Barbara in the comics having the on/off relationship, with them being about the same age. I think the writers made it Tim and Barbara for the drama in the plot for when she’s thought to be dead and Batman is keeping it a secret.
Poor Robin gets compared to Batman by the thugs and even has Barbara second-guessing a little bit. Meanwhile, everyone knows how capable Nightwing is, and the thugs are scared shitless of Red Hood. Being the baby of the family is tough. 😂
The reason why Batman is no longer in action because spoiler alert, he is presumed dead. Bruce had a contingency plan for if/when he was revealed to be Batman to the public. It is known as the Knightfall Protocol. He activates it at the end of the game. (you guys missed that part because the video you saw did not reach the end) Wayne Manor is blown up with him and Alfred seemingly killed. In reality, he fakes his death like he did at the end of The Dark Knight Rises and in the Frank Miller comic The Dark Knight Returns. Everyone including Nightwing, Barbara Gordon and Robin think him dead.

Blackmask A.K.A Roman Sionis is known for using decoys, similar to what we have seen in arkham origins, (if i remeber correctly) where he uses a decoy to trap joker before killing his GF. so we don't even know if Blackmask was really dead even after this Redhood episode.
For Red hood watch the animated film Batman Under the Red hood. For Nightwing I would highly recommend the show Young Justice in which he starts as Robin then becomes Nightwing. 40:16 Nightwing is liked by a lot of people especially women because he's funny.

The third and best Robin is Tim Drake (he's my favourite Robin but Dick Grayson as Nightwing is my favourite character). Tim Drake was only a toddler when he was there in the audience to witness the death of Dick Graysons acrobat parents known as the Flying Graysons after a mobster extorting money from their circus had cut the lines of the ropes they used for their act and fell to their deaths in front of their 8 year old son. Dich was later adopted by Bruce Wayne who was also in the audience and understood the pain of losing his parents. Tim was a massive fan of Batman and Robin and always looked up to them growing up. Tim is the smartest person in the Bat Family and at the age of 13 he used his own self-taught detective skills to figure out Batman and Nightwing's identities. After Jason Todd's death, Batman had become more violent and after Tim noticed he told Batman that he had figured out who he was and that Batman needed a Robin to remind him of what he stood for. Tim asked Dick Grayson to become Robin again but Dick refused and told him that he should be the one to do it. Tim accepted and after months of training the world's greatest martial artist Lady Shiva (who is one of the assassins in Arkham Origins), he earned the right to become the third Robin. He is now about 16 years old.
The fourth Robin is Stephanie Brown. Stephanie Brown is the daughter of the Cluemaster, one of Gotham City third-rate villains. To ruin his schemes, she became the vigilante Spoiler. Stephanie's father Cluemaster spent most of her childhood in prison or away from the family. Though he claimed to be "rehabilitated" upon his return to Gotham, Stephanie was furious to discover that he was actually returning to crime without his need to leave clues behind. She decided something needed to be done. Stephanie tailored a costume for herself, and called herself the Spoiler. She knew where her father was hiding out, found out his plans, and left clues so that the police and Batman could stop him. Robin (Tim Drake) tracked her down, and she joined in on the capturing of Cluemaster. She also became attracted to Robin, and it annoyed her that he knew her identity but she did not know his. Eventually Tim and Stephanie fell in love.Stephanie also began a friendship with Batgirl Cassandra Cain (who was Batgirl when Barbara was paralysed). After Tim had to stop being Robin for personal reasons for a bit, Stephanie volunteered to be Robin. After Stephanie disobeyed Batman's orders (in order to save his life), Batman later fired her and told her that she was done being a hero because he could not trust her in the field.
Cassandra Cain was Batgirl after Barbara Gordon. Born with the assassins David Cain and Lady Shiva (the woman who trained Tim Drake) as her parents, she was trained to become the perfect warrior. Her father deprived her of speech so she would learn movement and physicality as her first languages. She is not taught to read or write and instead, reading body language is her only language. When she is 8, her father takes her to kill a businessman. As the man dies, Cassandra reads what he is feeling, realizes what she did, and runs away from her father. Batman adopted her into the Bat Family. Cassandra would eventually turn her Batgirl costume over to Stephanie Brown, Cassandra has since gone I want to use the names Black Bat and Orphan.
Damian Wayne is the fifth Robin. Damian is the biological son of Batman and Talia al Ghul. Sometime after Batman became a public hero, he fought Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins. During his adventure, he met Ra's' daughter Talia al Ghul. The two young adults fell for each other and, after a brief fling, they conceived a child. Bruce was unaware of the child's conception and returned to crime fighting for years. Damian was intended to be a formidable warrior. Raised by his mother Talia and the League of Assassins, Damian became a talented martial artist by the time he was a pre-teen. Eventually, when Talia deemed that Damian after turning 10 years old was ready, she allowed him to go to Gotham and meet his father - the Batman. Batman was surprised to learn he had a secret son with a supervillain but sought to learn more about the boy anyway. Despite his intense training to become a remorseless assassin, Damian was sympathetic to his father's vigilantism in Gotham and volunteered to become his next sidekick. Batman agreed and granted Damian the mantle of Robin.

Yeah... They really should have seen this after the side missions and Knightfall. And Jason Todd became Red Hood after the events of this game abandoning the Arkham Knight persona, he still wears the helmet he wore at the end after freeing Batman, and of course he's still voiced by Troy Baker

Red Hood is Jason Todd. In the comics, he becomes Red Hood after he comes back to life (long and complicated story). In the Arkham games, he became the Arkham Knight (a mockery of Batman) and THEN he becomes Red Hood. Definitely recommend watching the "Batman: Under the Red Hood" animated movie for a better look at his character.
I cannot believe the walkthrough you guys watched didn't include the Knightfall protocol. You NEED to rewatch the end of the game from the point Scarecrow is taken out at the Asylum.

Then Stephanie brown was the fourth robin very briefly then she became the third batgirl. The current robin is Bruce’s biological son Damien. And in the comics Barbara and Tim were never a couple, it was Barbara and dick that were together

The tapes are fantastic (especially love the City ones with Strange interviewing the villains), but its a long shot to get them to react to that. At some point im sure they want to move on from the game and they didnt even watch the ending.

I feel like these DLC cutscenes were like the inspiration for Gotham Knights. I’m not saying they are, but it’s a possibility.
Red Hood is Jason Todd, the second Robin. The first Robin was Dick Grayson and he became Nightwing (Nightwing is my favourite comic book character). The Arkham Knight identity for Jason Todd was created for the game and was heavily criticised for how predictable and plot twist was instead of making him Red Hood from the get go. In the comics Jason chose the name Red Hood after he was resurrected because it was the identity Joker used before he became Joker and fell in the vat of acid that turned his skin bleach white and made his hair green. Jason figured that it would be ironic for him to use the former identity of the man who murdered him. Tim Drake was the third Robin and in the comics he is in a teenager and Barbara Gordon in the comics is in a relationship with Dick Grayson.
You guys watched the DLC which is POST GAME content before watching Knightfall Protocol (ending of the main game) and side missions (during the main game).
They didn't originally know, but they do now. If you're going to react to Batman games, Batman Arkham videos are the ones to react to.
After Batman takes off Arkham Knight's blue mask, Jason Todd becomes Red Hood with only the red mask on his face.....they are the same guy.

The choice to pair up Barbara and Tim always perplexed me. She and Nightwing are one of those forever couples. Like Spider-Man and MJ, or Superman and Lois.
Funny you mention about the strength of these characters. When you play as Batgirl in the dlc or even Catwoman you will notice a strength difference in their moves, with them relying more on kicks than punches. When Batgirl rips a metal cover from a electrical junction, she first strikes it with her shoulder then uses both hands and exerts more effort. A nice detail showing the strength difference.
Hold on… You moved straight to DLC’s which take place AFTER the game without watching the actual ending of the game? What?
BTW, you guys should consider watching Batman Under The Red Hood. The Red Hood DLC and many elements of the main story draw inspiration from it. It will add to your understanding of the lore of Batman.

Red Hood story is the best hands down
A thing about Dick Grayson (Nightwing) is that he's truly pure of heart. Even more than superman which supes states himself. Funnily enough, Dick Grayson's robin was the first popular kid/teen superhero which influenced the making of Spider-Man. You can tell by how similar they are in personality. Both quip a lot while putting down their foes.
There was a recent comic where superman's son got lost flying and nightwing and bats found him but he was scared of Bruce's mask so Dick took his and Bruce's mask off and ensured him that they were friendly. Then he made the kid feel better by taking a lollipop from Bruce's belt which he places it by the smoke bombs. Bruce also states that nightwing is what Batman is supposed to be.
Another fun fact, Nightwing is immune to scarecrow's fear gas bc he has nothing to fear. Joker also despises him bc he's the only robin with a sense of humor

If I remember correctly the fourth Robin was Tim Drakes girlfriend who was the daughter of a villain Clue Master but became a Robin but went through some retcons after dying but eventually became the second Batgirl and her own hero called Spoiler then you have the fifth Robin Damian Wayne

Barbara Gordon/ Batgirl is the Techy Nightwing/1st Robin is the Suave Acrobat, Red Hood/2nd Robin is the Hot head tank and current Robin (Tim Drake) is the grounded tacticain.
I highly recommend Under the Red Hood ~ not only does it give you a greater appreciation for Jason Todd's character but it's one of DC Animation's best movies.
Jason Tood, aka second Robin aka Arkham Knight aka Red Hood, was like you ladies saw in Batman Arkham Knight was Batmans second Robin. In the comics after Batman found and buried Jason Todd, Ra's AL Ghuls men stole Jason's body and placed a fake one inside the coffin. They then lowered Jason's body into the Lazarus Pit. He then was resurrected and donned the Red Hood mantle.

You can watch Under The Red Hood animated film without watching other DC content. It is fairly standalone on itself based on the storytelling.

Before the game came out, the developers tried to hype up the Arkham Knight character as an "original character created for the story" despite the fact that majority of people had already guessed that it was Jason Todd and even after they said it, he still remained the one most people thought it was going to be. Despite the Arkham Knight being the title character of the game and yet often feels like a complete afterthought and the whole "Arkham Knight" identity kind of felt like an excuse to include the word Arkham in the title. And regarding Jason's "death" wasn't staged. He was in Africa looking for his biological mother and to his surprise found Joker blackmailing her and was later beaten by him until Joker killed Jason by blowing up the building he was in with explosives and Batman finds his body but Jason is later resurected by Talia al Ghūl whereas in the game it's stated that Jason was held captive for over a year in an abandoned part of Arkham Asylum. It just feels like a poorly thought out plot twist that even people who took a quick galnce the Jason Todd's wiki coud figure out this was an adaptation of Jason as Red Hood by having him as the Arkham Knight.
I'll say it again, you 2 really need to see "The Knight Fall Protocol" that's the actual end to the game.

Yeah the whole Tim Drake and Barbara Gordon thing is incredibly weird. It’s typically Nightwing and Barbara together and Tim is way younger than them both (like usually a teen, don’t know why they changed that here)

I was wondering how they were going to handle all these DLCs. It’s so confusing trying to organize them. Some happen before and some after the main story.
The Tim and Barbara relationship has always been a bit awkward in these games. It’s always been Dick (Nightwing) and Barbara in the comics having the on/off relationship, with them being about the same age. I think the writers made it Tim and Barbara for the drama in the plot for when she’s thought to be dead and Batman is keeping it a secret.
If you want more of Nightwing. I would recommend Young Justice instead of Teen Titans (2003) or the live action Titans show

Poor Robin gets compared to Batman by the thugs and even has Barbara second-guessing a little bit. Meanwhile, everyone knows how capable Nightwing is, and the thugs are scared shitless of Red Hood. Being the baby of the family is tough. 😂

The reason why Batman is no longer in action because spoiler alert, he is presumed dead. Bruce had a contingency plan for if/when he was revealed to be Batman to the public. It is known as the Knightfall Protocol. He activates it at the end of the game. (you guys missed that part because the video you saw did not reach the end) Wayne Manor is blown up with him and Alfred seemingly killed. In reality, he fakes his death like he did at the end of The Dark Knight Rises and in the Frank Miller comic The Dark Knight Returns. Everyone including Nightwing, Barbara Gordon and Robin think him dead.

Blackmask A.K.A Roman Sionis is known for using decoys, similar to what we have seen in arkham origins, (if i remeber correctly) where he uses a decoy to trap joker before killing his GF. so we don't even know if Blackmask was really dead even after this Redhood episode.

Jason Todd is Red Hood. The game initially promised that Arkham Knight would be an original character that would tie into Batman's past but they just took half of the Red Hood/Jason Todd story and the character and purposed it for Arkham Knight.
