    Really good sound. You can truly hear how awesome the old cars were.

    Look at those full stands, listen to those cars, good luck getting a ticket for less than double the price and wait in line for an hour to get into Hooters back then..... absolute awesome times.... miss them dearly..... I feel very fortunate to have experienced and spent every dollar and every vacation day to live NASCAR when it was huge

      I’m so jealous! I’ve been to a dozen races in the last two years, and it just doesn’t seem like what it would have been in the late 90s-early 2000s.

    I've been to practically every nascar track on the east coast and I was this track during this race and I have to tell the racing now and the audience is nothing compared to what it used to be every track was full of rooting fans and tv ratings were off the charts now nascar is lucky to have 100000 people in the grandstands

    • @OnwardSoldier
      @OnwardSoldier 4 года назад

      Things change. NASCAR isn't as popular as it once was but it still is popular. I don't think the crowds back then were ever sustainable.

    • @outlawz1975
      @outlawz1975 4 года назад

      @@OnwardSoldier actually if you look at the race's back then compared to now there's alot more people there than there is now the stands were practically full compared to what it is now

    • @OnwardSoldier
      @OnwardSoldier 4 года назад

      @@outlawz1975 Yeah I know. That's why I said "it isn't as popular as it once was" My point was that those crowds were never sustainable and the number of people at the tracks were going to come to what it was before the boom of the late 90s to mid 2000s.

    This was the first race at Talladega after losing Dale senior in Daytona the Highbanks in the turns are all painted big with big number three in White I went outside to travel they had a black tarp with a number three on it the biggest one I’ve ever seen that was a sad day and a joyful day with Dale Junior winning this race that’s when he said shit on TV and got docked five points that really hurt going down towards winning the championship that year I think you lost by More than 25 points but it still didn’t help I wish I could go back in time Daytona race earlier that year I was there to this day I wish dale Sr had got caught up in that Wreck and turn three when Tony StewartGot upside down was involved in that happened right in front of me in the infield how things will be so much different today
