ABOUT US: We’re traveling full time, living on our own terms and showing you the up-close-and-personal details of us figuring it out along the way. Sometimes it’s about navigating big, life-altering decisions. Sometimes it’s about navigating the seemingly lawless free-for-all that is driving in Hanoi. It’s moments of triumph and moments of panic.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.” Just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem. We believe the world’s a more interesting place when people reject convention in favor of what they actually care about. This is us putting that idea to the test - one budget spreadsheet, RV renovation and mountain-peak drone video at a time. #napa #napaonabudget

I didn’t think Yosemite was a big deal. I heard a lot about it, seen pics, read about it, etc... All of that did not prepare me for how majestic it really is! You captured it as best you could during the fires. Found your channel watching Banff videos. Now I see you’re in my neck of the woods. Cheers, and many safe travels!
Welcome to California! Have a great time!
AH! You guys were in Monterey and grabbed Noodle Bar! My husband & I eat there 3-4 times a month, and laughed because you guys grabbed the same thing we always order & split! We hope you enjoyed your time in our little coast side town! BTW - we ordered your Tripped cube set with the cute beachy prints, and we love them! Made the packing for our weekend away last weekend, super easy. Thanks so much!
This may very well be my favorite T&F vid. 👏👏
You two are so entertaining! Not to sound like an ad but for a great instant replacement of Viet coffee without the filter, I recommend Copper Cow Vietnamese coffe with their condensed milk and cream packs!
We recently lived in Seoul for 2 years and loved this video! I didn't see anyone else comment, but the rice wine is called makgeolli (it's milky-like) and is different than soju (more like sake). Soju is usually paired with (or in!) beer...and sneaks up on you. ;)
That's what we had wrong. We were looking for Soju though! We loved the drinking culture there- have some nice tall beers with soju playing backup the whole time. Made all the dinners that much more memorable.
We are huge fans! We are going to do the castle winery tasting and Fume restaurant next weekend because of your fantastic Napa video.
We are impressed that you guys (well especially Fin) try hard to pronounce words authentically so tossing this quick note out there for you: hoisin is pronounced with a hard “s” (like sin city), instead of a “z” sound. But a perfect pronunciation would be hoy-seen. (There’s no wrong way to enjoy ultra affordable Asian food! Yum.)
You two crack me up talking about the fog and how cold it was in the City. I grew up in the East Bay and we used to go to San Francisco in the summer to cool off. You are good sports though-loved this episode, actually love all your episodes!
Oh I love that Asian market in Marina I've been there several times. At the right time they have rice seaweed rolls dirt cheap.
Love the Bay Area! Oh, that food looks so good! My mouth is watering!
We've been to SF just recently and we love it there.
Tim was talking about Koala Yummies!! You could get them in regular American grocery stores for quite a while in the 90s I think? But yeah, those that you found in the Asian market are almost exactly the same. I get those at my local Asian grocery store all the time. So good!
I followed your channel since the beginning I love you guys I just had to say Allison you are such a dork! When you sing the Chiquita Banana Song total dork mode! I absolutely loved it...❤❤❤ it's really cool that you guys really show the whole thing there's no behind the scenes so thank you for being real and making my day I laughed I rewinded because of the Chiquita Banana Song LOL thank you for sharing
By the way where I grew up dork was not a insult it was pretty much like thing nerd sorry if it offended you
Haha oh absolutely! 🤓 thanks for saying hi Bill! 🙋♀️
Yeah, summer in SF can be cold and foggy. September and October are when it often gets sunny and warm.
I miss SF. This video brought me down memory lane
You guys are awesome I love your adventurous spirit try new things regardless of how things look so awesome
We have a dine in/Take out place in my town that sells all these things and the Vietnamese Coffee is amazing, but they make it with Sweetened Condensed milk so it's really really sweet!! Love Pho!! Love the chicken rolls!
Thanks Tim and Thanks Fin
Very Enjoyable Video.
Fun video guys! SF is usually cold and foggy lol. So the Kook Soon Dang totally has wheat in it 😱
Spicy ramen is one of my favorite foods in earth 😜 I was cracking up watching Tim eat those!
My son loves the G7 brand of 3 in 1 Asian instant coffee.
The quality of the videos is outstanding
Thank you!
Wow, Chinatown is next to my house, I live in Nob Hill ! How could I missed you!
We could have had a local guide!
If you guys ever decide to visit SoCal, specifically near the Little Saigon area, one of the best Pho place down here is called Phoholic. You get a couple more different herbs you normally don't see at other pho restaurants and they have the most flavorful broth I've ever tasted.
Congratulations 🎉🍾🎊
The fresh spring rolls look amazing! OMG the treat sharing was hilarious! Tim: it’s delicious. Fin: it’s 10 am 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Great episode!
Shin Ramen so good! for 3 n 1 coffee you can try Maxim or G7
Love the blind ramen taste test, especially the part where the noodles don't make it back into the containers🤣 Feels kind of like home as Hawaii has a ton of asian and euroasian foods and restaurants. Yum!!
Haa! Loved the ending’
Love watching ur videos!!!
The food make me feel so hungry 😋👍.
Spring roll and summer roll are served as appitizer normaly
Hey, nothing wrong with instant pho when you have a craving. :) I used to buy it all the time and add rotisserie chicken and all the fresh herbs and veggies. I think having those items makes it quite good when you need a pho fix. If you've never had it, you should order the roast duck spring rolls (especially the ones with the crunchy fried rolled wonton skin or whatever inside). And finally, I'd have ordered bun thit nuong or cam tam for eating in the car. :)
Trying all the snacks I can at the Asian Food Store is actually one of my favorite things lol
Would love to know what market you stopped at to get these!
That milky Korean drink isn't Soju but it's Makgeolli - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makgeolli (mock - gul - li)
Its been a long time, this beautiful couple not make food show :)
Keep it up :)
Love San Fran, but excited for the Pacific Coast. Did you visit Hearst Mansion and San Louis Obispo?
Love you guys, from Indonesia
Love back your way! Can't wait to get back to Indonesia sometime soon- we saw so little of it! Tim still has a visit to Komodo National Park on his ultimate bucketlist...
@@timandfin have you heard "Indonesia Ring of Fire Expedition"? Check it out! You may have a trip like these guys.
Also, I will recommend one unique place in Bali, called " Trunyan".Trunyan is small village in Bali, with beautiful panorama (surrounded by mountains and lake) and also notable for its peculiar treatment of dead bodies, in which they are placed on openly on the ground, simply covered with cloth and bamboo canopies, and left to decompose. The influence of a nearby tree is said to remove the putrid smell of the corpses.
How does the dog know what side the elevator opens on? LOL.
Staying at the Mark, a huge step up from a rental van...
such a nice break!
Best vietnamese places are in westminster SoCal. I watched your vid and it seems you like Vietnamese cuisine. :)
Haven't been able to watch in a few days. Catching up now. To bad I didn't know you were coming to the bay area. I live in the East bay, Walnut Creek. I would have liked to meet you and maybe you could have come for dinner. I would have made you a good special Puerto Rican dinner.
lol, that last soup liked to have killed me. I have a cool little asian market here in Houston that we shop at some times. I used the whole spice packet and could barely finish the soup. SO HOT!!!!
Hello from your friend here in NC USA
Best authentic pho restaurants are in Orange County CA (largest Vietnamese population in US) AND paired with sugar cane, kumquat, coconut drink!
Oh yay so good to know, thank you!
it's 5 o clock somewhere! The truth is if you are watching the clock to drink....LOL..
27:35 LOL the opposite of the scene from Karate Kid where Miyagi catches a fly with chopsticks :)
I think Pepper was looking at those seals dreaming of a nap herself!
That was fun
Are u in California currently?
If y'all pass through stockton Ca come by the marina I work at. I would love to buy you 2 lunch at Bob's at the marina. Lovely little marina to check out. Could even set u up with some kayaks to go explore the delta on.
I look like to watch all your video , I hope your happy, lot of heath and continous trips travel all the world. Được Lê VietNam
in 8:02 seconds Tim picked Viet Nam Ca Phe Sua Da up but he didn't buy it, i was a little sad, in 10:11 seconds i saw he brought cup contain a kind of coffee i thought that was a cup of VIetNamese coffee, that was a good thing to do man. in my opion 2.99 $ is little expensive meanwhile, it is just 25.000 VND, if you want to drink vietnamese coffee you should come to Vietnam and get it, the cost wil be better than SAN FRACISCO
Fin eating out of the Chinese to go container. Gotta be better than cold chili from a can!
haha really an upgrade this week!
Pepper needs a hoodie
Found your channel recently and you two are one of my favorites. How does the name Fin come from Allison? You probably answered this somewhere but I haven't come across it yet.
Paul Shrum I think her last name is Finney - or close to that
I'm from Hawaii and I grew up calling those small sweet bananas "apple bananas." I'm not sure why, but I grew up thinking those were normal bananas and did not like stateside bananas when I first tried them since they weren't as sweet and the texture was different.
and this is my apology because i thought Tim did not buy VIetnamese coffee but when i was already watched the whole video i realized that you guys did, eventhough Fin didn't like that kind of coffee. Moreover, i laughed so hard when Tim tried those noodles.
Hi my dear Tin and Fin how are you ? Happy weekend 🥰
Hi there! Happy Sunday and thanks for watching!
I love when you guys said we just need to look in the comments to figure out everything you've gotten wrong in this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you ever want to know anything, just say the wrong thing on the internet and you'll quickly be correct!@
@@timandfin 🤣🤣🤣 I'd be scared 😬😱😜
Such a great city to visit. Loved the haul as we dream of our Southeast Asia getaway pushed off until Jan 2022 now. XO, K&N
Hey Tim, you dropped some noodles there buddy.
bahaha best part
It was hilarious watching him try to eat noodles with chopsticks, blindfolded 🤣🤣🤣
I luv Shin Ramen
I love these things but I think they do have lots of sodium🤔
HA!!! So good you two!! First of all Thank You for coming to my city and not showing the world how dirty, "F'ed" up and Dark it can be! And by the way! No! that was not Dog Poop you saw all over the place! humans pick up after their dogs!......... :(. I Live in West Marin but have a little apartment two blocks down from the Mark Hopkins where you stayed. There is a Korean place really close where iI had my first "Soon Kook Dang"! I was looking for Cloudy cold Sake and thats what they gave me!! It was late and i was a little buzzed sooooo......I felt like its a cross between Mexican/Cane sugar Sprite and Nigori Sake! In that jankie ass plastic screw top bottle! Ive had more since then for some strange reason....... guessing your going down to Carmel, Big Sur and south. If you need some hook ups down there let me know.
So - remind me again when exactly you're changing the name of the channel into "Pepper and Tim and Fin"? :-D :-D :-D And
Might just go with "Pepper Travels". I spent an hour today making sure she is all set for her flight to Mexico in November. It's all ridiculous!
@@timandfin Hope you got her First Class! :-D
Kasia Kazimierczuk Pepper is the best!
Wow the third bow of noodle looks really hot
Welcome to my birth city, my official hometown... I live up north of the city in Santa Rosa wine country...

I love all your Vlogs. 👍
I laughed to much at this....
My mind is blown that this tiny dog can be so bad it needs a prong collar on when just sitting. So sad:( i love you guys so much but try something positive like a gentle leader. Smh
