      But starch based is not good either.
      All these diets have u eating something more than another. The body needs moderate fat, carbs, protein n starch. No high fat, no high starch, no high protein, no high carbs. Balance & Moderation is key!

      AllNatural Indigo who eats in moderation though? Certainly not people who watch videos like these. I'm sure there are people who do just fine with moderation but that's not all of us

    I was starting to get arthritis at about the same time I went made the final step from part time to full time plant based and the arthritis went away.

    thank u so much! i have always love eating and that made me lose weight super hard, tried a lot of diets and exercises along with it, but what made it possible was agoge diet. it changed my life. its always about the right diet for u

      @@Tania-rg7jp I have learned a lot since I started unfortunately for me I have family members that don’t believe in this style of eating and so I have been fighting an up hill battle. But I’m glad to report I’m 20 lbs down from where I started I don’t think that I’ll be able to change my family’s eating habits and that’s ok.

    Gosh i LOVE Doc McD! And u too of course Dr Gustavo! U are so gorgeous(I bet u get called GORGEOUS GUSTAVO EH?) but its not your looks i admire the most.     The recipes look great! I thought bread was not allowed in MWL program? I thought this video was MWL focus? I find it very difficult to leave out bread. Any ideas?

    I've done both diets through out the years high carb low fat....and high fat low carb...both will make u loose weight as long as u don't combine the 2 and have high fat and high carbs with every meal...ur good....I found both satisfying

    Can I still lose weight if I follow The Startch Solution instead of Maximum Weight Loss? I find it difficult to fill up half my plate with non starchy veg, I always crave more carbs.

    Nightshades, ie, potatoes, don't agree with my joints. I have to be careful of my consumption of them. Sweet potatoes I can have. Just restarting this diet with new considerations. Regular potatoes are not for all people, but there are more starches than worrying about them as a main staple.
    My husband has GERD and we both could stand to lose the un natural weight we are meant to be. We are doing as a team.

    Crazy that he mentioned Dr Maholtra. He just did an article saying that vegetarianism killed his mother. You have to actually read the article to see that she wasn't eating the best veggie diet

      Yes, but he has interest in promoting animal products for consumption as Dr McDougall says. I'm in the UK too. I would have thought 'Dr Lard' would have tried to defend himself if he's for real

      Vital to take Omega 3/ from algae..heavy metal free! Must also have b/12...between Dr. M and Dr G ( Greger) I feel 25 again and i’ll be 70 years !!! 👍 Happy healthy eating 🥦

      Linda McCartney died from breast cancer & she was a vegan, probably a junk food vegan diet of fake meat & fake cheese

    And what dr Mcdougall thinks about high fruit diet? There are soooo many people having incredible results on a raw vegan low fat high fruit diet. Would it be superior to starch even if it is much more difficult to maintain. Please would like to have some answers. Thank you in advance !

      KaroAdC fruit in early days could only be picked at the right seasons so there was not a lot of it . Now days fruit diets I believe are short term and yes you lose weight and some health issues

      They also eat a lot of fatty vegetables. Nuts, seeds, olives, avocado & coconut to get enough calories

    What comes out of me is massive amounts of gas, my gut is not having it at all. I have been trying for a year now(coming from 10 years of being vegan mostly fruit) with the starch solution because my raw diet was just too much of a pain.

      I soak all dry beans for 24 hours in fridge and change water a few times. I also add epazote or kombu during cooking which reduces the gas for me. Yes, I have more gas than on the processed food diet but considering the health benefits, I'm not concerned.

    Is this a No-Fat Diet?

      allkindsamusicchick it is a plant based diet with natural fats from food. Some foods have up to 30% fat in them. But, it is a way of eating that doesn’t encourage processed fats or fats that contain cholesterol and hormones and antibiotics and other harmful substances.

    what about a bumm thyroid and menopause? I have tried every diet ever made, I even fasted for days on end ....no weight loss. I never eat processed foods, I exercise, I eat salads and vegies, no fake food and all i drink is water so...what foods am I eating that are wrong? Off meats, dairy too. I am running out of foods to cut out! HELP! lol

      if ur looking for weight loss, i recommend getting rid of fats as much as u can, especially oils!!! look up a calorie density chart for more info .. u want to eat things in their WHOLE UNPROCESSED form. so, for example, don’t have just a smoothie for breakfast bc it breaks down the fiber and makes it less filling. however if u ate everything u put in ur smoothie in ur whole form, ur gonna be way more full! watch dr. aj’s videos! hope this helps

      Toni Art you’re over eating calories... doesn’t matter if you eat all the perfect food... if you eat too many calories, you will not lose weight

      Toni Art you cannot lose weight if you eat more than you burn, so in theory, yes, it’s all about calories. But staying healthy is important as well. Also, the less excess fat you have on your body, the more “difficult” fat loss can be. The body wants to hold onto a certain amount of fat for reserves. Being really lean (ripped) is incredibly difficult to achieve and nearly impossible to maintain year round. Find a place where you feel comfortable in your skin and not too hungry all the time and Maintain that. Unless you are willing to be tired, cranky, hungry, and constantly on point with diet and exercise, (no cheats, no off days) maintaining the physique of a fitness model is nearly impossible. Not to mention genetics
