GNX has another meaning, it is also a tribute to generation X. Samples from Debbie Deb, SWV, Luther Vandross. Flows like Nas and Tupac. He understands he is a relic from the greatest era of hip hop.

We're all entitled to our own opinions guys! Remember that
I would normally agree but they are tripping about Luther
You missed the fact that on Incarnated in the end of the song he retelling the story of Lucifer being banished from heaven..not himself..also he was working out his deal to exit TDE..that’s why it took 5 yrs to make the next album..you guys cannot appreciate some of the slower songs because you have no black cultural musical reservoir..or nostalgia..which is why you are missing so much context!
To me this album is better than Mr Morale and Damn. Some of his best r&b cuts are on this album, it has some of his best bangers ever, and I think it has more staying power than some of his other albums.
Fantastic review, really well thought out as always.
I'm noticing a theme in the people that don't like Luther and Dodger Blue...
Iykyk.
i dont know wdym
This happens every time they review any r&b type sound. They did it to PND4 as well. They don’t even give it a chance
@@huealexg3068 they’re white
Tbh as much as I love MM&TBS I really needed a Kendrick album exactly like the one we just got.. shit is so fire. Some tracks like Peekaboo and Hey Now are growing on me with every listen too.
Skipping Luther is wild. I’m actually enjoying peekaboo a lot now. It’s a song you just don’t take seriously
I love these guys podcast it’s straight barbershop talk and they both hear each other out and if they disagree they keep it respectful
Listening Dodger blue gave me nostalgia of gta vice city or San Andreas idk why😭? I love this song
What do you guys mean peekaboo is a skip? Y’all really talkin bout non!😭😖
Im suing the NFR Podcast for flashing me in the back of an alley
Production at great is criminal
How is Kendrick rapping off beat in the ‘hey hey hey’ part on Peakaboo? He just rapping in 1/3 or the triplet flow lol
I’m not usually a fan of more R&B centric sounds but Luther is my favorite song on the entire album. The nfr guys are not rocking with r&b we see it week after week
Does anyone think that maybe, just maaaybe…….Kendrick helped Baby Keem with his sound & not the other way around?
Calling luther a skip is wild
Luther was top 3
Overaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaàaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaated for sho🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
GNX is his best album since damn!!
Nah
This better be a negative review, y'all. Don't want Drake showing up at your front door with a little diaper and a bib on.
Ant really is skipping 1/3 of the album and still gave it an amazing rating.
I really love this album but there r some parts that I’m not crazy about:
“Wacced Out Murals” - drags too long after a while.
“Squabble Up” - The “dance breakdown” part like from “Not Like Us”.
“Man At The Garden” - the beat.
“GNX” - YoungThreat’s verse.
Everything else about the album is amazing. 9 / 10.
Luca saying Kendrick didn't show growth is incorrect, imo. There were elements of production and even writing that showed growth.
Skipping Luther is insane
Lu with the 50 cent reference "Why you say fuck me for?" Hilarious!
Ant the type of person to close a cabinet with his hips
GNX is great music by Kendrick Lamar. People calling this mid or bad either hate west coast sound or are lying to themselves to diminish him.
This is what everyone wanted after DAMN but Dot went and did an introspective experiment. Post battle and Dot honestly probably giving the top 3 if not 1 rap battle feuds, this dropping out of nowhere…it’s a solid project and is a “I do this shit better” project. Yea this isn’t a skipless project but also…this IS what we wanted following DAMN but it could only happen after Morale and the 24 battle. Dude is on top, 2024 will be his defining year outside of 2012 and 2015
sounds like you guys just don’t understand the west coast sound, what kendrick does is a very mainstream version of the west coast thing and the features are that pure west coast form.
you said he should’ve only kept roddy, and he’s basically an atl sounding artist.
