The video for this is notable for having the most Home Free members - the song features Chance and Austin, but former members Chris Rupp and Matt Attwood are there in the crowd in the bar.
You are right that Home free was doing mostly Pop before the Sing Off show pushed them to go Country. Tim has said that he rediscovered his love of Country music after resisting writing or singing any for several years. This song seems to show a talent for mixing a bit of Pop & Country for a happy outcome.
The boys are so good. The church sessions are really good. Shows you how good they really sound. Love Tim’s songs. He, Austin and Chance write really good songs. This is more “poppy” and I love it. It shows how versatile they are. Chance was a bass in his former group so he can go pretty low, just not as low as Tim. Adam sounds great too. You should check out their other church sessions. This video had Chance and Chris and Jenika, Kelsi and Oleana. Adam Rupp’s wife Ericha doesn’t show up much…she’s really shy and doesn’t like to be on film. She’s in a rare video or two. Good one Yuri!!!
You might also want to check out the two parts of Home Free Tours the Country Rebel Ranch (+ Part 2). Their silly country side comes out to play with the chickens and the goats. So much fun to watch.
They are just always so amazing no matter what they do or how they do it. I think the first song Chance did was Try Everything. Thanks for the reaction YB!❤
Check out the group Street Corner Symphony. Adam Chance was their bass singers before he moved on the Home Free, dropping his first name (already taken) and going from bass to baritone (already taken). Although there are times like her when Tim goes high (tenor) Chance goes low (bass). SCS's video for Madness is my favorite of theirs.
Melissa seems to be a bottomless pit for Home Free suggestions 😆 - and that's good so. Thanks Melissa, great choice again, and thanks Yuri, good to see you again. 🎶
Although I love all their videos - the live ones (and the "From the Vault" series) are my favourites! BTW, Austin has a new video for "Defying Gravity" on his channel (it's the most original one you'll find). The Country Rebel Church Sessions are fantastic (the other ones are "It's a Great Day to Be Alive" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain").
The Timeless album was released in Sept 2017, Chance joined in May 2016. They did 3 songs that day - this one, Go Rest High, and It's a Great Day (to be Alive) - both of those covers are of "Country" songs. If they were trying to push the album, It Looks Good is the only one of the 4 originals on that album that had a writing credit for one of the guys. I am surprised they did It's a Great Day because Austin had a bad head cold and he has to sing lead on that one, but it may have been decided long before the taping date. But the 3 songs showcase Rob, Austin, and Tim so they make a nice package.
I don’t know about Chris Rupp having a partner but Adam Rupp is married with 2 children his wife doesn’t like being in videos. She is in a few earlier videos
Chance and Tim sound very similar when doing bass. If tim is singing Chance is always doing bass. The only time you will hear both of them if they both have verses of their own. You should really check out all the Church Session songs especially High on That Mountain
If you watch the fan videos for Any Kind of Christmas, you will see that the very last line, which most would attribute to Tim, is actually Chance. That is a good song to hear how good his bass actually is, unfortunately on the fan videos you can't really hear him - you need to listen to the studio cut.
There is nothing more impressive than Home Free's church sessions...all 3 songs are unbelievables ❤❤❤
I prefer the Church Session audio myself.
Yes you need to check out go rest high on that mountain church session
Agree! Wish they could do more with Country Rebel.😊
That's why they went independent. So they could sing what they wanted, not what the corporation dictated.

Isn't this the day she and Cherise were there, but not filmed? You see them in the BTS for this.

😂🤣 Legit "Home Fry" here.😉 Thankfully for me, Home Free's "rabbit trail" list is HUGE!

the first blonde is Tim's wife Jenika

Ericha Rupp might be camera shy, but she looked great on the CMA red carpet.
Thanks for the reaction.
(p.s. Personally, I don’t love the chorus lyrics on this song 🤷🏻♀️)
