this scene honestly made me so sad for paris when i first watched it, she came over to rory’s wanting to get away from her arguing parents and then dean comes in and starts picking a fight with rory which causes an argument and mutual yelling and paris has to sit there and just listen
@runforthehills8 Dean didn't pick the fight. Rory and Jess clearly caused him to be infuriated, which you can't really blame him. Rory was trying to juggle them both (so cruel on her part) as soon as Jess walked into her life, she treated Dean awful. I don't blame Dean one bit for speaking his mind.
I wish Rory, Jess, and Paris had more scenes together! I loved watching their shared love for literature and intellectual discussion so much. I seriously wish we got more of their dynamic… Dean had to ruin everything. I get Dean’s point of view, I really do. But he should’ve respected Rory’s wishes when she said she was unavailable. Also, his anger here is actually pretty damn scary. I’m glad Paris interrupted them. It’s clear that she saw something wrong with their relationship, and if she weren’t there, things would’ve gotten even worse. I can’t imagine how this could’ve escalated if she weren’t around… the thought just gives me chills because Dean’s controlling and possessive traits really show here. Also, while I’m team Jess, he was obviously wrong for pushing her buttons over here because Rory was clearly nervous about Dean’s reaction over this. Neither Dean nor Jess were right in this one. Even Rory was wrong here for emotionally cheating (if that’s even the correct word here because it was still too early to tell, and her actually realizing she likes Jess is not until a few episodes later, which is when she visits him in New York), but I genuinely feel for her because she didn’t get to explain herself the way she wanted. This is such a complex situation. All I can say is that Paris was a real one. Her and Rory’s friendship development is one of my favorite things from the show!
This is my least favorite scene in the whole series-Dean’s insecurities finally come to an ugly head and he puts it all on Rory 😓 I never liked how possessive he was of her
Yeah, me too. I understand why Dean was angry, but he shouldn't have yelled at her like that, and Rory should've had time to explain. However, Rory also should've been honest and said that Jess was there.
I feel the opposite -- I love this scene because it cemented Rory and Paris's friendship, while showing how neither Dean nor Jess was really "the right one" for Rory.
Jess and Paris should have more scenes
One thing I love about this episode is that I always saw this as the moment when Rory and Paris really became good friends.
They wasn't really friends

No Paris came over to Rory's house to study and Rory said no she wanted to be alone. this had nothing to do with Paris parents arguing.
@@wendymarie7151that's a bunch of bull
@lauriecarson6483 you're entitled to your opinion. Bunch of bull.

I completely agree! Jess really could have won every one over in this scene if he’d chosen a more calm and mature way to act about the situation 👌🏻
@@BrandNewEyes03 Exactly!! 😭
He was justified in being mad in the fact that he kept seeing Jess and Rory together
Why do y’all feel the need to form teams here? It’s stupid. It’s just a tv show. But y’all are too oblivious with your “us vs them” mentality
Agree with you 💯, well said.
The title exaggerated a little, hello Paris🤦🏽♀️
bro why are they looking at each other like they’re boutta have the most intense make out sesh ever
Rory never takes accountability how could she not understand why Dean could be upset finding Jess there like girl. Just go be with Jess.
Call it jealous all you want this is inappropriate. Rory always being inappropriate
Teenagers sucks
I really hate that rory got back with dean.
I really think Alexis can't act at all. Dean should have left her as soon as Jess started being a jackass to Dean.
Wendy. I agree
Alexis CAN act you two are just blind idiots who can't tell
Alexis CAN act you two are just blind idiots who can't tell
It just so happened that I have a old friend named Alexis
she probably ddid better then you that's for sure.
This title is misleading cause Paris was there and Dean knew it smh
