- Native Hawaiian and faith leaders from a diversity of backgrounds will preside over a daylong vigil Friday honor those lost in the Lahaina wildfire. The vigil will include ceremonies at sunrise, noon and sunset on each island.

If there's a rainbow at the end of this terrible storm, it's that the beautiful Hawaiian people of Maui are regaining their sense of unity and purpose in community and love as caretakers for mother Maui and each other. May we all be so blessed with such a sense of belonging and purpose and love. And feel and express such Aloha in our lives. Aloha to Maui and the world.
