I'm a Brooklyn nets fan and I have the most respect for Gianni's he is everything you would want in a star player..... Loyal, hard working, good leader and he not buddy buddy with the rivals......old school mentality got to love it
He not “buddy buddy” because you can tell he not accepted by other superstars as a basketball player because he don’t have no skills that’s why he get disrespected.
I lived to see Magic Johnson, Jordan Kobe LeBron James and I have to say, I’ve never seen anything like Giannis Antetokounmpo. The way he effects both sides of floors is unparalleled. Appreciate this once in a generational talent.
and he's actually likeable unlike Jordan, Kobe and Lebron etc. Those guys are killers on the court, but they were/are arrogant a-holes, which is fine in a competitive sport, but Giannis somehow managed to be a monster on the court while still being humble and likeable.
I disagree because I witnessed Jordan, Hakeem, KG, Duncan, Shaq, David Robinson, and to some extent Dwight Howard. All of those guys dominated on both ends of the court. However, these negative takes on Giannis are just laughable. Gilbert Arenas was once a great player, but he never even came close to accomplishing what Giannis has in his career.
@@atlien1988 Yes those guys are great especially the dreams two year stretch when Jordan was out but Giannis is only 27 and it’s already accomplished all this. And be able to take two steps and dunk from three point line bringing a ball up getting six assists running the offense - he’s just a force. And with his work ethic he keeps on getting better, It’s amazing to watch his growth.
People keep knocking Giannis' shooting, however he was 44% on midrange jumpers last year. That was above the league average. So technically his shooting is not really a weakness. He is not a great 3 pt shooter, but he doesn't need to be, because he has 3pt specialists on his team. Also Giannis will hit clutch/timely 3's in the playoffs when he needs to. We've seen it over his last 2 playoff runs
@@ejay2075 he doesn't need to be a jumpshooter i mean don't get me wrong I'm okay with him having a respectable shot however I rather him continue working on his post-game and free throw shooting
Wow... never thought someone in the media would have admit that they are hating just because he's not from the US. Mad respect for both of you. Great job
@@HardCold-Alquan Nash hakeem and Duncan don't count.. being developed in the US. And it's the first time that a player developed overseas has the claim for being "the best". Having said that... Foreign players are disrespected. The fact that Ayton was drafted over Luka says it all. Being the best player in the euroleague with 18 is far better to whatever acomplishment in the NCAA. Arenas said last week that freaking Jamaal Crawford was better than Ginobili.. Parker is never mentioned between top guards of his era and is a finals MVP. Kukoc was disrespected by his own teammates. And there are videos about guys saying that foreign players are soft (like Stephen Jackson)
@@luchorib the soft part always amuses me. Euro players are playing grown men that are in their 20s and 30s while being teenagers… a way more physical and tough atmosphere than playing a bunch of one and done teenagers in NCAA
@@33corsaire yeah, and some players like to talk about playing in "the hood" while some foreign players actually grown in the middle of civil wars or third world countries. I mean, it's not a toughness competition at all... But the fact they talk about that sometimes is just ridicoulous.
Bro Giannis grew up in the hood in Athens, having to share shoes with his brother and hawk watches on the street to eat. They hate Giannis because he is everything they aren't. He's a winner. He's a badass. He's a leader. Most NBA players are soft spoiled brats who grew up in the AAU circuit just trying to team up with the 5 best players around and they wonder why they have no leadership ability, no hearty, no understanding of what it takes to win. They see all that in Giannis and it turns them green with envy
@@da11king There's plenty of players in the hall of fame like Barkley and Ewing that got no rings and Giannis has nearly more accolades than either of them. Giannis resume is already enough to get him in. The only thing he could use more of is longevity.
They want Giannis to develop a tween tween hesi so he can get in the first round right? Cause that’s what happened, the skilled ballers got swept and the bagless freak took the Eastern conference champions and best defense in the league to 7 without his second best player.
If Giannis had an American name, swagger, accent, but played the same way and dunked on everyone he would be glorified. It's an elusive phenomenon that doesn't have a clear definition. His flaws would be ignored and his highlights would be all defining.
I am guilty to some extent of this criticism also. The NBA is supposed to be the stage of excellence because the sport is so elegant. Players like Giannis and Jokic might be too polite, and we don't like when players are too cocky like KD and Luka sometimes when they get swept or choke. And ultimately, Giannis only has one ring.
"He doesn't understand how to be great" says the guy who never won a title, a regular season MVP, or a DPOY all awards Giannis won...what more does he need to get before "Understanding how to be great"
Arenas got to the second round - once. He was arguably the sixth best player on a 52 win Orlando team. And somehow dismisses leading a team to a championship.
Frfr ... and as a decades-long Bulltets-Wizards fan, and yes, a fan of Gilbert Arenas". ... OH THE IRONY!!! It's almost too much. Gilbert straight up bagged it. Not Gilbert talking about Giannis!! smh
I'm a Boston fan and I love Giannis haha. I don't think it's necessarily where he's from but more that he's not like the other superstars. He's humble, polite to the media, when he looses or doesn't play his best he takes responsibility, he didn't jump to another team and stars, didn't worry about the big city life. Aside from the paycheck Giannis is more relatable to the everyday person then he it to other superstars. He won the championship and went to Chick-fil-A or whatever. And he doesn't know how to train his body to be great? Did Gilbert see Giannis as a rookie? He made Durant look like a body builder haha. He saw his strengths and worked on them and is now a specimen, a freak of nature on the lebron level.. majority of NBA fans whether they admit it or not would take Giannis in a heartbeat. I always liked Giannis but what sold me on him was the year they won the title and in the playoffs against the nets maybe? Anyway his knee bent backwards, most players would of been out the rest of the series at bare minimum, Giannis missed one game I think? Came back and had an ok game and then a monster game. And was a monster the rest of the playoffs and finals whenever he needed to be. Didn't he score like 50 on the close out game in the finals? I dunno to me Giannis is what you want in a superstar, caring less about money and fan and more about the game and the team. Being a good role model and so on.
Giannis never played their game or the media game. He didn't leave the small market or team up with other super stars. No AAU, No college. Never responds to negativity and always works on his craft. And still became a winner.
Exactly. It’s the ‘Rudy’ effect of sorts. They feel bad and insecure for not putting in that effort he does every minute of the game. Easier to criticize him than dig in.
Giannis is clearly No. 1 and these former players need to accept it. He's only in the beginning stages of his prime and getting better. Agent Zero having Zero IQ with his insane statements
because he did it by himself! no super team. no forcing his way or playing with his friends across the league.. did it in Wisconsin too. no flashy gimmicks. no drama or contract dispute. just pure balled out. a model citizen and player.... he did what so many players wish they can do. some past players are going to be salty.
Giannis has a ring with the team that he originally was drafted by I don't care who else is the best player in the planet the world or in the universe he has a world title with the team that drafted him he waited patiently and didn't leave he stuck and stayed and got them a title💯💯
Giannis is great as a Celtics fan so much respect for what he's done for Milwaukee and hate the fact that Celtics has to play this guy every year in the playoffs.
A lot of American former players hate Giannis and Joker because they didn't come from the circle jerk AAU circuit. They were latter round picks who became top 5 players. They're not flashy, they're humble and team first guys.
We're about to get a strong indicator on our (US natives) views of foreign born players. Next year, your Top 4 MVP Finalists will be this (alphabetically): Embiid Giannis Jokic Luca All foreign born, all very foreign (no Canadians here). I want so bad for any of these dead beat Podcast hosts to just for ONCE push back like Rob always says
That's not it if u pay attention to history players want skill sets to be on the same level as most dominant which it isn't in no fashion the same was done with WILT CHAMBERLAIN Moses Malone Shaq and now Giannis
Giannis is a beast and best two way player in the league currently. If Middleton didn’t go down, he’d probably be 2 time champ. His passing has gotten better and every team builds walls and he keeps breaking them down. Even against Celtics vaunted defense his offensive game didn’t crater to the levels of an accomplished scorer like Durant. So shouts out Giannis, he’s a skilled and physically imposing player. It’s blatantly obvious at this point.
@@fidelisnyaaba7105 two players needed to carry kd. First it was klay and steph, now kyrie and harden! What is it gonna be next season? Kyrie and Ben maybe i dunno.
There are two major reasons why people and a lot of players hate Giannis. Firstly, he makes all their skill arguments look stupid. He's getting things done without all the "skills" that other players care so much about. All of KD's offensive skill don't look as impressive when Giannis scores at the same level at a higher efficiency. Giannis is getting a lot done just by outworking everyone. Players hate that. They want things they can't control to be what separates the great players from everyone else. Secondly, Giannis won a title in a small market without another superstar on the team. All the things other players swore was impossible to do. He took responsible for his teams playoffs failures and won by bettering himself. Even a player like Dame should learn from that. Go look at Dames playoff log and see the number of below average and terrible games he has in the playoffs. His play is part of the reason why the Blazers never got over the hump. It's might not be the main reason but it plays a major part.
true, Giannis destroys all the BS narratives that these superstars make. They just cant swallow that their talent and superteam wont get them championship and they cannot duplicate giannis hardwork specially that Bum Loser Gilbert ass arenass
@Aaron9 bron hate not warranted lebron is a great guy & a family man, never gets in trouble, never cheated to win, never asked for a trade. he’d have mj’s wealth right now if he hated on his own people. still a billionaire tho
The nba and media loves drama to promote the league and make it more interesting. Giannis is the opposite of that. Just a humble guy that dominates the court.
“Doesn’t understand how to train his body” …have you seen rookie Giannis vs 2022 Giannis physical stature??? Don’t tell me that man don’t know how to train.
Gil said "cool" about him winning a championship... That's coming from a player that couldn't do it. I respect Gil and his game, but he's just like KD imo. Great offensive player, but has no idea what the goal of the sport is.
Gil couldn't hold a torch next to giannis ... hows he gonna talk smack about a man that won a chip ... I wish giannis could just posterize these bums lol
I think the hate comes from players who's claim to fame is more based off skills than winning. so the only way that the players they like can be mentioned with the greats or be better than the previous generation is to mention how more skilled they are now. and how harder it is to win cause of the skills so forget winning and focus more on how skilled said players are.... all Giannis does is win and do it in dominating fashion. anybody saying otherwise is hating
bro, he won one championship, capitalizing in the Finals against a team with trash interior defense who got there only because their Conference Finals opponent missed their superstar. He's literally a taller Ben Simons who's less hesitant to take shots and plays more aggressively. An argument can be made that Simons is a more skilled on-ball defender and passer.
@@stefannedeljkovic4395 wha?!?! So we gonna forget the 2 mvps? How is Simmons a better defender and Giannis actually won DPY? Simmons is a better passer, that's it.
@@elp3035 yes, and Gobert won 3 DPOY and is by no stretch of the imagination better than Kawhi Leonard who has 2. Joakim Noah got one, is he a better overall defender than LeBron or Kobe?
@@stefannedeljkovic4395 you bringing up centers. They almost always win the DPY award. Giannis is a great defender and his DPY, just like Kawhi or MJs means more than a Center getting one. Oh man, i usually disagree with mr. Rob, he really nailed it in the head here. Xenophobia and racism in the US ain't news for anyone BUT is so damn real and painfully true. I'm glad finally someone is actually saying this (wich was evident for the rest of the world years ago) on national network
As a black American the moment this rhetoric started against him, I started shouting it was hate stemming from the fact that he’s not from here and he’s dominant. And it’s not about the swag…it’s about him being from outside the United States PERIOD!
Especially he did it without the AAU ball and social media hype... They feel like he didn't earn it. Also I suspect because Giannis is black the discrediting and put downs are there subtly, as to showing that African Americans are still better.
I'm convinced people don't actually watch him play He's extremely skilled. His game is an insane combo of power and finesse. He's a big man with the skill set of a traditional wing. He runs pg when needed His handle is insane especially at 7 ft. His 3 level scoring is improving rapidly and he's more efficient from mid range than Devin Booker (considered an elite wing) Giannis game is pretty as well, just not his shot yet. Crossovers Spin moves Euros He's so graceful man It's insane
FACTS!! you are 100% spot-on. It’s so sad how all the nuances to Gianni’s game go unnoticed because people are too lazy to watch more than highlights smh
Imagine winning MIP, back to back MVPs, All Star game MVP, DPoY, Championship, Finals MVP and being named a top 75 player all time all while NOT understanding how to be great? Imagine he if he did?
You’re on 🔥TheBlackSage7!!!! Gilbert Arenas was an illegal gun runner for Christ sakes! He might be able to tell us something about that because he was run out of the NBA indefinitely!!!
Giannis is damn near exactly what you want a super star in your field to be..damn the guy plays hard as hell like he on a rookie deal..and why the hell is anyone listening to a Gilbert Areanas? like why...dude is best known for being overpaid and that gun situation and he talking about a dude that did more in 1 season that he has ever done lol
Yeah pretty much and if you listen to Charles Barkley he says the same thing because they were immensely gifted with athletic gifts to where they don’t have to learn the game like someone else would need to
We need to recognize that GIANNIS got crazy handles. We've never seen a 6'11 guy with that kind of length handle the ball like that and his speed and quickness and COORDINATION at that size is Legendary. He's basically got point guard handles with the tenacity of a young Shaquille Oneal. By far the strongest 242 pound guy basketball player we've ever seen. Plays like he's 275 in the paint.
@@shadow_realm47 exactly. His favorite player growing up was Allen Iverson, so you know he has the point guard handles. Not to mention he is arguably the best defender in the game. He's basically a much more consistent version of kawhi at his best.
“Doesn’t know how to train his body.” Have you SEEN Giannis?! Dudes in better shape than anyone in the league lmao. And actually plays at the highest level on both ends of the court It’s purely xenophobia.
“He won a championship, cool” he says it like it’s so easy to win ? The whole point is to win a championship and you’re going to tell me he “doesn’t know basketball, he doesn’t know how to be great”. Man if that’s not most ridiculous take of the year i don’t know what is.
I think part of the issue with former players is that most guys have a very very limited personal idea of what a great player is and its usually based on a skill-set that they themselves prefer and would be at home in the era of basketball they played in. I played pro ball for 11 years in a different era and in my era center`s didn`t play like Jokic and lead guards didn`t play like Curry or Kyrie. The game changes, strategy and philosophy changes, skill sets change. Gil... For Gil to say "he plays basketball but doesn`t understand basketball" Gil was a point guard who was not known at all for his floor game, ability to run a team or manipulate the way both teams play the game. He was a shoot 1st, 2nd and 3rd gunner. His idea of skill set is limited to how many ill advised jump shots a guy can make. He shot his team out of a lot of games then threatened to actually shoot up the locker room while fighting with a guy who`s in prison for shooting up Atlanta. He doesn`t get to make this statement.
They also hate Giannis because he embarrassed most of the stars by turning down offers to work out with them in the offseason. And not only did he turn them down, but he went public with his reasons why. That ticked them off. Then when he sat at the podium with the NBA title trophy and Finals MVP trophies next to him, he once again railed against joining a super team to win a championship. This again was offensive to a lot of players. I guarantee you 1 thing though....all these critics of Giannis would love to join up with him because they know they can win titles with him.
"Best" comes with more than people tend to put into It. Giannis greatness comes from being more coachable than anything. His work ethic and drive, his mentality to push, tha instinct to seize what's in front of him... I like that he plays hard and tenacious most of tha time. He gets better. Now Zion may be the "Best" down tha tha line. But, they're a few players atop tha mountain today.
Giannis is a hard working humble kid who doesn't idolize drug dealers and drive by shooters and comes from a two parent family. He isn't an entitled victim player that stomps his feet every time he doesn't get an unearned handout. African players (via Greece in this case) typically exude quiet stoicism, integrity, real inner strength, work hard and earn their keep (the likes of Hakeem, Mutombo, the late great Manute immediately come to mind). Those traits earn them respect. American black players (most white ones as well) generally are the opposite and can't stand the difference.
Xenophobia is the fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners, whereas racism has a broader meaning, including "a belief that racial differences produce the inherent superiority of a particular race."
I think people are just mad that he is so naturally talented and athletic, that he was able to start playing basketball later in his youth and still dominate. Some of these guys have been practicing since they were old enough to walk. It's not a race or nationality thing, I think it really comes down to good old fashioned jealousy of skills
It's about jealousy ok I give you that but also is about self hate. What's nor being said how colonizers have the quote on quote African American to hate everything about Africa. But love everything about colonialism even if you foolishly discredit the best player in the NBA whom happen to be a African Gentleman and scholar
He holds up the mirror with his work ethic and his greatness. People are repulsed by their own reflection. They can never be what he is so they must try to tear him down. Haters hate themselves.
Add Nikola Jokic to the list. He's gotten back to back MVPs and he gets no love. The NBA on TNT hosts were so mad he won b2b mvp that only Ernie would interview him when he won.
It's because KD and Kyrie fooled ya to thinking skill is all that matters in basketball. Because Giannis doesnt have a tween tween step back.....So I ask, where was kyries skill and KDs jump shot when they were getting swept by Boston. It's also because he isnt apart of the group chats. Giannis is a family man
Because Giannis brings out their insecurities. They look at the way he’s built and wish they could throw their “skills” into his body. But that’s how you know he’s doing something right. Never has a bad thing to say about anybody yet his name stay in their mouth for the wrong reasons
Agree 100%. And also, in my mind, they doesn't like Giannis cause he prevent 'player empowerment': not Diva; don't want to chose coach or GM; don't say that he doesn't need coach at all; he is thankful; he is loyal to one team!
most 7fters in league history aren't as skilled as GIannis....ppl think because someone is better outside shooter it means they are more skilled, because most of the players that are even in the top 10-15 of all time have weaknesses.
I’d rather have 33 high level two way productive mins than 38 one way productive mins And I RARELY see Giannis show slight fatigue in a regulation games
5:11 that's exactly what it is. it's entirely a culture thing. it's not a race thing. bird got the respect because he had the bravado. guys like jokic and giannis get hated on because they are foreigners and the media especially is so biased against foreigner culture. like that one time some media fools were talking down on jokic for riding that horse carriage. but yeah ppl dont want to accept giannis is the best cuz he's just a chill, nonserious dude and for some reason the media hates him for that. particularly ex-players, and i think that's a defensive thing. like "oh how can the nba throne go to someone who's not like us?" ya feel me????
@@juliocezar7565 I was thinking more like KD and other players, although Arenas was a highly skilled player, and I agree Giannis is an alpha and that's why he's been so great, not so much skill. He's crazy tall, crazy long arms, super athletic, and has developed some skill but he does it with raw physicality
I think some players have forgotten that basketball is a team sport and the purpose of the game is to score more points than the other team. That's the only thing giannis cares about and thats why people love him. I think a lot of players view basketball as an individual sport and so they place more emphasis on individual stats and skills. The hate stems from jealousy. They understand how to be a great prospect/product. They(gilbert arenas) don't understand how to be a great basketball player.
"Hate" is the biggest form or respect and admiration. Giannis he is not American, he doesn't speak English perfectly and he doesn't have the "traditional" skills that many "American" players have. Harden, Arenas, etc. can all "hate" But imo he's top "3" in league. 1.Bron 2.Steph 3. Giannis 4. Embiid 5. KD

The thing about sports debates is they're subjective and debatable, not set in stone. Some fans have their bias, others can be neutral when having discussions abt greatness and rankings.
Giannis is a beast but if you understand the game and have a unbiased mind you would understand why nba players don’t respect Giannis’ game. I respect his talent because he definitely put in the work to be a great player otherwise he wouldn’t have elevated to being a superstar and he plays with heart and hunger, but at the same time his physical gifts is the main reason why he’s so dominant. Basketball is starting to drift away from African American dominance: Joker, Embiid, Freak, Luka, and its annoying a lot of people. Remember when Rodman and Isiah Thomas said if Larry Bird was black he'd just be another guy when in reality if Larry Bird were black and athletic he'd be MJ.

Giannis is the truth, on both ends of the floor he dominates. Don’t bitch, don’t call out his teammates, don’t call out his front office. He just balls.
I believe it's because his game isn't sexy, he doesn't over dribble and pull deep threes. He plays to his advantage and bullies in the paint and plays defense. He plays like shaq, but the disrespect he gets reminds me of tim Duncan. A all time great but because his game isn't flashy he constantly will get overlooked.
The man is the most physically dominant and fit specimen in the league (LeBron now at almost 40 notwithstanding), and this chump says he doesn't know how to train his body lmao what a joke Arenas just starved for attention.
A lot of Americans just wont accept that the NBA now is slowly being dominated by European players because basketball is an American sport. So, its hard to accept if some pleyers not from the US does it better than they can.
Love Giannis. He’s such a great role model for the league which kinda sucks he can’t be the face of the league considering he’s a foreigner. But I got no problem whatsoever with Steph being the face though. Both are the best right now.

Giannis is a hard working humble kid who doesn't idolize drug dealers and drive by shooters and comes from a two parent family. African players (via Greece in this case) typically exude quiet stoicism, integrity, real inner strength, work hard and earn their keep (the likes of Hakeem, Mutombo, the late great Manute immediately come to mind).
I would have to say Shaq was skilled for his size. His footwork was incredible
It is unbelievable the hate he's getting from ex players.
Giannis 4. Embiid 5. KD
This show is so good. Keep up the work brothers
I have been saying this for years that people hate on him because he is a foreigner. Giannis doesn't behave like Americans and most of the American players just don't want to accept that he is the best player right now
Giannis has done a lot without having to team up with superstars or without leaving Milwaukee. Dude is not even 30 years old yet
he didn't have to beat a team of superstars so why does it matter. he's had the best team in the east since 2019
Holiday best perimeter defender
Lopez defends rim and shoots 3
Middleton allstar
Bucks have talented team
@@kalix975 He's had the best team in the East since 19? L take
Talent wise, Bucks arent the best.
If the Bucks have the best team, its because Giannis makes them the best
Gilbert is just hating cause he’s not from here it’s simple. He’s done that to Luka and jokic as well. Gianni had one of the best closing game in the playoffs to get his 1st championship. When you’re that dominant you don’t need skill
What is Gilbert talking about? He won a championship and led his team. But he doesn't understand the game??? What does that even say about the league if a guy who doesn't understand the game can mop the floor with the entire league. Smh. Just because he doesn't sound like you doesn't mean he doesn't understand the game. Smh
How do you hate on Giannis bro, that man is so wholesome
Giannis NBA championship
NBA finals
2x NBA MVP
NBA all-star game MVP
6 x all-star
6x all NBA
All defensive team
Most improved player
NBA 75th anniversary team
Gilbert arenas how did you make the NBA and speaking like this
One of Mamba's disciples, FWD 👑, THROWBACK ✔️
Some of it is his upbringing and some is related to his skill set. He does lack some fundamentals if we are being honest but he makes up for it with his effort
Wat fundamentals plz elaborate top5 n rebounds , the2nd best passin bigman has more assists than curry , top 3 scorer.. great spacing on defense n he is the best help defender of all time , top5 in dpoys last 3 yrs too ... so what fundamentals n plz n dont say shootin coz he shot 42% midrange above league avg n same as embid n increasef his midranges from 107 to 220shots too so the volume rising too.... even in advanced stats like PER he has 2seasons that are top 5 all time .....Has every major NBA award so far n at 26 no great had a chip n dpoy n mvps...
People hate on Gainnnis Antetokounmpo exactly what Rob said and additionally, for the same reason they hate on Steph Curry.
Both Gainnis and Curry were not supposed to be where they are right now and no one expected both to be top 3 of the best NBA players, it individual award winners and NBA champions
And LeBron?
Giannis is gonna end up being top 15 all time when his career is all set and done. People can be mad but oh well.
Bro he already has the accolade what are you talking about
@@mythoughts4740 he is dumb . Leave him .
Jealousy... haters want a lovable loser. He is an unapolegtic yet humble winner. Big ups to Giannis.
Also Gilbert argument makes the players look worse cause a player he says don’t understand basketball is better than them
The thing about sports debates is they're subjective and debatable, not set in stone.
We cant ignore that.
Andre Drummond, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, Karl-Anthony Towns, Bam Adebayo, Jarrett Allen, Steven Adams, Nikola Vucevic, Clint Capela, Jaxson Hayes, Willy Hernangomez, Serge Ibaka, Jaren Jackson Jr., DeAndre Jordan, Lauri Markkanen, Jusuf Nurkic, Myles Turner, Kelly Olynyk, Bobby Portis and so on...All of them similar height and weight as Giannis yet none of them even comes close...Your point is invalid
@@lalas120 i knew someone would go there with it. Its more than just height man. Giannis has a better physique, a better frame, his build is freakish, he’s more athletic than all the guys you’ve listed. His physique makes him more mobile than any other 7 footer we’ve seen in a long time. His wingspan allows him to play defense at an elite level because he’s isn’t particularly quick but his abilities allow him to get up and down the court alot faster than the guys u named. Giannis uses nothing but his gifts half the time to dominate and thats what he’s supposed to do. I like Giannis he is a great player and i see he puts in work but if you were level headed you would see what people mean by “ he has no skill” not saying you have to agree with it because its wrong when people say it in absolute. But you would be biased to ignore that Giannis’ greatness comes from his physical gifts.
@@MaxPotentialGreatness If all the people saying what you are saying actually watched Giannis play instead of just repeating what they've heard or going off of highlights on the internet you would understand my point. If it's all about the physique then why is 2021 and 2022 Giannis way better than 2018, 2019 or 2020 Giannis? The guy works harder than anybody else in the league and has improved every single year of his career and is still improving... The only thing his in not great at (which also has considerably improved in the last years) is shooting the ball. If "skill" in basketball is only shooting then Steph is the goat and Ray allen or Reggie Miller are a close second...Please stop with this skill nonsense
I really hate the giannis slander it’s just so disrespectful at this point
Basketball is starting to drift away from African American dominance: Joker, Embiid, Freak, Luka, and its annoying a lot of people. Remember when Rodman and Isiah Thomas said if Larry Bird was black he'd just be another guy when in reality if Larry Bird were black and athletic he'd be MJ.
Basketball was supposed to be a Blk sport
@@dreamcage1801 huh . Explain?
Bro it gotta be something to these players eye test watching this man game up close. I’m not gonna knock their opinion but just keep watching and see Giannis game develop
The other thing they didn't mention is that Lebron was playing all those minutes because the Lakers were losing ala 33-49
I'd take Giannis over a majority of American born players. He is a great player and has humility. 👍
How about all of them
@@djjon1388 NBA will always give Americans more championships.
Right now Giannis and Jokic are the best players in the league. Luka is in the top 5/10.
A lot of Americans just wont accept that the NBA now is slowly being dominated by European players because basketball is an American sport. So, its hard to accept if some pleyers not from the US does it better than they can.
How do you win MVP ,defense players, NBA champions and say you don’t know how to play basketball🤣🤣
Giannis the beast the best player in the world still getting heat because he’s not American it’s a damn shame
The Steph hate is mind boggling
Fake hate. They just wanted to sell a book to Huwite people
Love Giannis. He’s such a great role model for the league which kinda sucks he can’t be the face of the league considering he’s a foreigner. But I got no problem whatsoever with Steph being the face though. Both are the best right now.
We can't have a foreigner being face of the league. Steph is injured too much
I’m not listening to someone who only won 1 playoff series against Kirk Henrich and Ben Gordon - come on son 🤷🏾♂️

It’s simple it’s because he spoke out against superteams as far as superstar players joining up. Those players are hypocrites because they say Giannis game not pretty to look at ignoring the point is putting the ball in the hoop and making your teammates better
