@@qbangamerr5871 calls out skip? Hardly. He laughs at his crazy remarks and entertains his stupidity. He hasn’t legitimately called him out since the ESPN days
I have no problem with what Pat Bev said. He has a right to voice his opinion and people have rights to criticize his opinion, that's the way it works. Also why is the media always in players pockets when it comes to their contracts like it's their money
Please,Harden and CP3 were 2 different cases in Bev's discussion. In Harden, Bev was talking about the money; in CP3, Bev was talking about BB performance. He just wanted player to earn as much money as possible. That is why he said D Green should be super Max even though Green wasn't.
It’s not like he doesn’t have a point. The way everyone treats CP vs how they treat Westbrook for example is night and day. They both haven’t gotten it done but over the course of their careers the media coverage has been vastly different. Pat Bev just used the wrong players for his example
Wrong example to use with Russell Westbrook like he hasn't been the same since KD left yea he put up the numbers but, he only been outta the 1st round once since KD left
He's not supposed to count that man's money, saying he doesn't deserve the money could potentially cut his money, they are in the same Money market, that would be counter productive. Set the bar high.
The 6ers don't give a damn what Pat Beverly think or any other outside players opinion, about their team. Any one with anytype of vision can see the decline in Hardens play.
Let's be real now, Patrick Beverley is not really a player that teams focus on in free agency. He's an MLE guy at best, Vet min at worst. I don't think teams are going to be choosing between him or Chris.
@@TheHauntedKiwi I don’t think you understand what the original comment was alluding to. From an average players perspective you want the best players to get the most money because a rising tide lifts all boats. It just increases what a role player can get down the line in future CBA’s. Yes Pat Bev is in the MLE range but the higher the salaries on average the higher the MLE will be.
Patrick, Beverly got his little 15 minutes of fame on television. Good for him. Now he can go back to being a below average player with a mouth. Chris Paul is a Hall of famer in waiting. If he felt that Chris Paul was a dirty player then he should have went in on that instead of talking all of this nonsense that he said he made it personal And that's where the problem lies.

So I guess EVERYONE forgot the game when Chris Paul TORCHED Pat Bev so bad that Pat Bev pushed Chris in the back just because he was GETTING BUCKETS on Pat Bev on his way to the finals..... THATS where the slander comes from
I love it when athletes take the mic and become analysts, but Patrick Beverley (so far) has been atrocious. No personality, no nuance to his opinions, insecure... For example, he was asked who he would rather guard, Steph or Luka. His response was, "It doesn't matter, I'm going to find a way to be successful against either one." That's a great response in a post-game interview. It's a terrible response if you're an analyst. You gotta be aware enough to answer the question that's not being asked. The question within the question was more than who he would rather guard, it was a prompt for him to compare two very different players and what makes each of them special. Anyway, he dropped the ball on multiple occasions. He's got a long way to go, IMO.
Love the show gents but didn’t do your homework on this one. Pat Bev was being specific on the series not Cp3 whole career. A lot of emotions went into this take. He was spot on about how cp3 performs in late playoff runs.

That last bit of knowledge. When was the last time you went to journalism school? I always take the time to understand someone's work before I criticize how they work.
1st, when did Beverly ever have credibility? 2nd, Rob Parker acts like he’s a media star but he’s just along for the ride. Take Broussard off this show and literally no one would watch it. They always put a very good analyst who is likable with a bum. Stephen A had to carry Bayless, Sharpe Carries Bayless now, and Broussard, who has real credibility & sports knowledge, is carrying Parker who doesn’t. CB’s on every show. Why u think Rob’s never invited? 🤔😂
Players can bring some interesting takes but Imo they're better as guest roles. Too many players use the crutch of "I played I know more" without actually articulating the point they're attempting to make
i agree with a lot of what you guys said, but dont pretend like regular media people who arent athletes are always unbiased. People like Skip are almost always biased

If you’ve ever given Pat Beverly credit , you were a fool to begin with. Watch dude play and listen to him talk you can tell the engines running but nobody is driving,
Guarantee you if Chris Paul calls ESPN he gets Pat's job tomorrow. Chris Paul choked but Pat Bev is in a long line of "role player analysts that don't have long careers." Bruce Bowen, Ryan Hollins, Eric Snow. Even better players like Chris Webber. Lots of nonstar analysts come and go. Brady Quinn was an analyst until Tony Romo wanted his job.
@@naswiipp Please. You want this now, but I guarantee you as you get older and the target demo gets younger, they're going to want to put guys out there people actually know from game highlights. Its a brutal cycle to keep up with the age of the desirable (advertising wise) viewer.
I like ACTIVE NBA players sharing their insights, it’s raw it’s real. Pat Bev expressed or exposed the real thoughts of many nba players re CP3. A cone. Beverly flamed CP3 then said they blew a 3-1 lead because they ain’t have fans and he missed his Kids in the Bubble 😂. They both go out sad every year 😅
I mean if u only get to see ur kids in the summer n the bubble was in the summer I get that. U can't replace kids over basketball
Pat said this with CP3 goes way back to when they were young.
But you touched on the most important part early on in the video. The ratings and engagement were high and to be honest...that's all that matters to any network especially ESPN.
He loses no credibility. He said the truth and it’s hurting ESPN’s little political feelings. He said he gets calls cause he’s the president of the players association, fact. He said y’all don’t cut other players slack for downfalls, so why not him too? Fact.
ESPN is so far left in their political views now and can say whatever they want. But when it is said back to them. They can’t handle it. Smh
Noooooo, Rob is never biased(Brady) winnk wink! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
*cough, cough* Lebron
Cp3 should have been critized for overactiing to a 10 year old fan tapping his Mom's shoulder , and calling the twitter lynch mob to react to the statement " put hands ".
Just because you let people touch your mom others may not
Phoenix brought this on themselves
I don't care what y'all say. Pat Bev was awesome on all those platforms. That's why they brought him back! I loved it!!!!
I wonder if they would be saying this if Pat Bev decided to go on the Odd Couple and say all of this. Considering the views and attention it would get, I highly doubt it!
Bev sucks
They would bro, they would challenge him on the show
Chris calls out skip, a lifetime analyst on his own undisputed multiple times and he won't call out bev on his own show? Hard to believe
@@qbangamerr5871 calls out skip? Hardly. He laughs at his crazy remarks and entertains his stupidity. He hasn’t legitimately called him out since the ESPN days
current player would never say another doesn't deserve money, max or not
I agree with you 200%, it's one thing to hate on Chris Paul game, but these guys know as a current player you never talk about another man's 💰
@@marksylvain2839 should have asked bev whether cp3 deserves his max money after losing game 7, he would still suck it up and say absolutely
@@elai3147 that's the vibe I got from him also
I like what Pat Bev has to say , he has the right to have his opinion on a basketball take. He also plays hard and knows his role
Watch everybody gonna steal that cone reference that's a good one
They were questioning whether or not Tom Brady had the IT factor on TV, Pat Bev has the IT factor on TV
Patrick Beverley like what Martin said he's a little comedian 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
Of course he’s going to be personal because he still in the NBA🤷🏾♂️🤔
But chris paul is washed and cant win this is facts and nnone wants to say it
Yes he made it way too personal. He has some major issues with Chris Paul and it’s getting weird. I still remember how he pushed Chris Paul and made him fall. Pat Beverly is way too emotional… like he did all that whining when they beat the clippers… like dude stop and just play!!!
I appreciate the professionalism and experience you both bring in the sports journalism arena. The trend of giving a public platform for past and current sports stars for biased commentary is growing out of control. Continue keeping to your journalistic roots. Keep the personal rants to Twitter and Instagram
He ain't lie about cp3 not getting enough slander for his playoff runs
I too wanna say you guys do a phenomenal job. And I love the show!
I detect alot of jealousy from these two because they see pat bev and jj would be the Perfect odd couple !
That’s why ESPN brought him back. I mean it was just perfect timing. But I think the players are mad at him for calling CP3 a cone. But yeah CP3 doesn’t get a lot of heat for a Point god
Cp3 was trashhhhhhhhhhhhhh and noone wants to call him out
ESPN was trying to get them ratings and they nailed it yo
He does get heat. They knock him and say he's getting too old every year. 🙄
@@LurnWell that’s minimal heat. It’s just a factual statement. The most heat he’s gotten in 3 years was, “well I wouldn’t pay an ageing point guard under 6’0 200M dollars. That’s it? For harden or Russell it would’ve been “these guys are garbage now! They don’t have what it takes and never did!”
@@LurnWell what heat? Doc is the one getting flamed for blowing up that 3-1 lead with that lob city team.
I also need to be fair too, I think you both did a great job presenting this issue especially the "you never played" idiotic statement. Keep up the great work!! This was a good, worthwhile discussion!
They are biased parker hates lebron
@@antoinejenkins2096 He still has lebron at 2nd all time, unlike some former players who don't even have lebron in their top 10. The media is biased but lets not act like players aren't just as biased
he's fresh and opinionated, excellent, he's right they shouldve benched Paul he sucked, Bev said it I didnt hear anyone else say it and he's totally right, his opinion about Hardens contract wont impact the outcome of Hardens deal, Lebron's true value is 75 mil/yr but union deal doesnt allow him to have it Giannis should make 100 mil a year
You never played is a fact
@@jg3gc yea he ‘claims’ he has Lebron at number 2 on his list but dogs him EVERY CHANCE he gets and talks about him like he’s number ten thousand on his list
Pat Bev lost his credibility not on his CP3 take, but his defense for Harden’s super max.
the writers and reporters are never ever ever biased in their opinions. 🤣🤣😳😳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right! Love it when they throw around that word: “Objectivity”….Come on now. That sh*t died a long time ago 😂
I'm not saying Beverly is wrong, but I'd have my head on a swivel come next year on court. Players are tight in the league and when one is dissed, their friends will have CP3 back.
Patrick Beverly never really had credibility like that. ESPN invited him all week just to be a hater. He’s projecting. And I don’t even like Chris Paul lol.
Fr.
Chris Paul is a front runner ….
@@kingroyalty9621 And Pat Bev got schooled last year in the playoffs by CP3 got his feelings hurt, now he's on ESPN lashing out. 😂
So I guess EVERYONE forgot the game when Chris Paul TORCHED Pat Bev so bad that Pat Bev pushed Chris in the back just because he was GETTING BUCKETS on Pat Bev on his way to the finals..... THATS where the slander comes from
@Tonio5100 tell me what Pat lied about ?????
Your talking about games in the past. He’s talking about his last series.
I got a huge point to make for harden. How come Chris Paul sign super max. He never average 22-10-8. Paul George don’t neither
I would take either of them over Harden right now
@@itsjob595 Chris Paul never in his career average 22-10-8
Nah...NBA players dont talk publicly about each other like that..I guarantee you his peers in the NBA didnt like it one bit
Love the show gents but didn’t do your homework on this one. Pat Bev was being specific on the series not Cp3 whole career. A lot of emotions went into this take. He was spot on about how cp3 performs in late playoff runs.
Na. He talked about the failings across his entire career.
You totally wrong , shut up
Two dudes who never played varsity high school ball talking about a nba player losing all credibility on his first day ... ☠️ im just glad stephen a is still putting my boy pbev out there to keep these media dudes accountable
I like Pate and Draymond on tv or podcast because they actually plays the game.
Rob you were spot on with your take. Even the Charles Barkley point. Couldn't of said it any better
Exactly
Good old ConeP3 lol 😂
That last bit of knowledge. When was the last time you went to journalism school? I always take the time to understand someone's work before I criticize how they work.
Bring out the toothpick and the sweet tea with the refrigerator ice it’s about to go down!!
Beverly vs Paul is one thing: Disdain for one another as competitors. Same with Rondo and Paul or Jordan vs Detroit.
I think former players be lying on TV. And some of them don't even watched the games. LOL Right Shaq... LMAO
Yeah CB hit it right on the head. Beverly is just a loudmouth who can’t intelligently back up his absurd takes.
Been watching the NBA since the 70’s. Never have seen the WOW factor with Paul. He’s been an excellent journeyman player and a #2 in the lineup.
Rob said it better than I could have. We love Charles Barkley for his honesty.
The Charles Barkley argument was good by Rob parker
Will the media give an objective look? Hell no.
Chris Broussard was flossing 🤣 during the show
Skip and shannon are also not objective...
Skip doesn’t even try to hide it. It’s part of his clown act
The point is he wasn't trying to critique CP3, he was streight-up humiliating the man. Although i think "overly personal" would be preferable to "biased".
the tv ratings with pat bev are great because viewers think most in sports talk tv hold back on their opinions and feelings
It's not too late for Fox Sports to get in on the Patrick Beverly action.
Rob parker lost his credibility a decade ago. He is the one that knows this the best.
If you’ve ever given Pat Beverly credit , you were a fool to begin with.
Watch dude play and listen to him talk you can tell the engines running but nobody is driving,
After he said harden should get a max deal I haven’t clicked on anything with him on it.
Guys who never played trying to discredit actual nba players is absolutely ridiculous!!
Pat Bev just guaranteed himself a job after his career is over
Guarantee you if Chris Paul calls ESPN he gets Pat's job tomorrow.
Chris Paul choked but Pat Bev is in a long line of "role player analysts that don't have long careers."
Bruce Bowen, Ryan Hollins, Eric Snow. Even better players like Chris Webber. Lots of nonstar analysts come and go.
Brady Quinn was an analyst until Tony Romo wanted his job.
That 🤡 would be the a dumber skip bayless
@@TheHauntedKiwi nobody wants to listen to Chris Paul. Pat Bev gives that real.
@@naswiipp Please. You want this now, but I guarantee you as you get older and the target demo gets younger, they're going to want to put guys out there people actually know from game highlights.
Most analysts that last are like Chuck or Shaq, Kenny Smith is an outlier. Greg Anthony had like 8 years before they moved on, same with Bill Walton. Its a brutal cycle to keep up with the age of the desirable (advertising wise) viewer.
Pat needs to stay away from the mike until he’s retired
Meanwhile he’s claiming Harden deserves a super max.. that boy a clown and clearly tryna suck up his way to another contract in Philly
I think Chris forgot he was on camera 4 a while 😂🤣
NO WAY, NO HOW!
Shout out to Pat Bev!!
Lol you dudes just posted a vid calling paul a playoff loser but are upset someone called him a playoff loser?
I like ACTIVE NBA players sharing their insights, it’s raw it’s real. Pat Bev expressed or exposed the real thoughts of many nba players re CP3. A cone. Analysts and journalists are concocting narratives and protecting sources and relationships, so all their arguments are measured to an extent. Pat Bev came direct, with passion. JJ Reddick became an analytics guy, and shares very limited player perspective. Pat Bev is a better version of Barkley and Shaq giving their opinions. Pat’s loyalty to Harden is real.
REmember hollins? that dude was spitting non sense
Drill sergeant to beverly, "what is your major malfunction numnuts...didn't mommy & daddy show you enough attention when you were a child"..😁😁😁
Pat Bev looked like he would be in a alley walking around saying "I got these cheeseburgers."
id rather listen pat over redick, jj avoids upsetting anyone so he can interview them in his podcast
JJ Reddick is a smart dude..not a big dummy like you! Never bite the hand that feeds you!
It’s entertaining. I loved it. It’s obvious he don’t like CP. he just think people need to criticize CP like they do everyone else. It sounds like y’all jealous. We all know y’all been in the game for a long time
Exactly and they are not always objective either. They are talking about trying to preserve journalism. This segment just made me think they are not comfortable with players in their space especially if rating go up. Pat Bev has been the best thing that's happened to ESPN this week. Folks get tired of listening to the same sports story daily.
@@NSoutherland_WellnessMD Yeah they see those guys are taking jobs they feel they should have. What’s happening is these guys are retiring from their sports then going back to school and getting a journalism degree and taking their jobs. Vince, Jaden. Marcus Wiley to Name a few.
