Yeah I have a single speed Cannondale with the hoods still and brakes. I love it.
3t sphinx track bars have a shape thats like having hoods. I ride bullhorns on long trips because it is like having hoods. Its the best position for me

What is gear for good for long ride retio
Here in India me & my friend ride fixed gears as regular roadbikes but we dont do Brakeless! Here brakeless will be equivalent to suicide 😅
Marcin Zdunek Yup it is, mostly weekend riding. But we have both front & Rear brakes.

its def not for touring or if you life in a complete hilly city +++ i think its not fun and very dangerous if you ride it on Sunday only - brakeless....
I am near certain for these guys it is a novelty ride, it is slower, it burns you up, but its also a laugh.
I converted a TREK Madone to a fixed gear and that thing rips around town I have smoked a lot of riders on that thing. It is not a true fixed though the rear is a free-hub and I have just rear brakes on it.

Riding fixed gear is great, until you have to go up a steep hill
I’ve done a lot more hill climbs lately and now I can say I actually really enjoy hill under 20ish %.

Brandon Loge fixed doesnt use brakes to brake
They just stick their heads out and...bump...you've stopped. It's much easier and cleaner this way, no need for these clunky heavy brakes.
