also, in some past videos, he uses wool to symbolize artificial reality and such so in this memory, he uses wool as a replacement for actual life (the trees, grass and what looks to be water) maybe its a stretch idk

It's only found in structures in the beta versions, and can't be crafted; and thematically, it's an altered version of an iconic block, overgrown with something organic. ...And more of a sidenote, but is it 100% certain this is Beta 1.7.3? I vaguely remember that the hunger bar wasn't added until the first releases, but this is clearly the beta terrain gen, 1.7.3 was the last version to use it. Probably reading too deeply into it.
Yes it's definitely Beta however some of the mods (shaders for example) are backported R1.3 shaders. What you saw as hunger might be the armour health?
man… reminds me how until recently i had a very good friend. we made plans and he made a promise to visit me someday n stuff until recently though stuff happened and we aren’t friends though, i still don’t understand why
I know this idea doesn't fit into the theme of this channel but it would feel a lot more wholesome and perfect if at the last moment, his friends came from the town and welcomed and asked him to be together to build, explore, mine, etc. I don't know. This one just has made me wish for such a longing.
I think theres something very haunting about using black wool in place of the doorways and windows. Instead of representing only the absence of key parts of a house, it quite literally blocks off whatever could've been inside from the player. It cements the absence as being part of that world, freezing that world in time and letting it stay that way forever, never to be changed at all.
