I tried it again with the machine off of course. I rolled the large wheel until the front of my machine was in line. Then I turned it on again, still the noise. So I turned it off again and remembered what you said about a certain needle. So I turned the wheel back until I heard a tiny noise on one needle. I turned it back on and it was fixed. Thank you.
Thank you for posting this repair tip Katie!! I have a Brother PR-600 and your instructions worked for my machine as well. It saved me at $700 as that would have been what my dealer would have charged me, $500 just to look at it and likely $200 for the repair. I so appreciate you sharing your knowledge. :)
Oh good! My dealer gave me the instructions and miraculously I was able to fix it myself and figured I should share. I knew I couldn't be the only one this happed to.
Thank you so much! I have no clue how I did that to my machine. I was actually using it and it was finishing sew. But you really saved me because I have a big order to finish.
Is there a belt on that? I’m having the same problem but I can’t get the gear to turn all the way and move all the way to the right. I called my brother dealer and he told me there is supposed to be a belt on that
Ok I figured it out. My error message happened on needles 8,9,10. So when I got the root message I took a screwdriver and cranked the gear upwards until it rotated passed the 10’needle. Then it worked great

Thank you so much for this video. You saved me a repair dispatch cause I was able to do it myself thanks, Jean.
awesome! Doesn't it feel great to not have to take it in for a repair!
Thank you so much. I have had this error for awhile. I tried that you said. But unfortunately the noise is still there. I am going to try again.
Thank you so much. Problem solved by turning wheel in back. Got it from a previous comment.
Thanks for the video it really helped me
Thank you.

I don't think there was a belt because it's a gear that fits into the other gear wheel.
hi what exactly did you do once you opened the side of the machine? did you just flip the gears up and down?
That's what I'm wondering also. How did you know it was properly lined up?
