Did you see while you were playing - how good it is on the deck? One of the things I love doing with it (in addition to out-turning Spits on the deck), is from about 1500m dive on Wyverns. They do not suspect anyone can catch them. However, I have made a sport of catching Wyverns from a dive and blasting them out of the sky. "L"
It does work. You gain enough speed in a short dive (from the height I mentioned above), to come down on a Wyvern, and shoot them from close range. Every time I have done this, I have been successful in destroying the Wyvern. So now, there are two planes I specifically look for to shoot down - Spitfires and Wyverns.
My experience is that it is not very good in the vertical. Which is why I rarely try to do a hammerhead with it. Instead, with this understanding I will lure Spitfires etc. to the deck and out turn them. There planes in real life were meant to be high altitude interceptors. But Gaijin, has made them so they are better down on the deck. In a game, I tell other pilots flying these planes to not try to out climb a Spit, drag them to the deck and out turn them.

For all your wonderful flying skills, Jengar, it's the guys that went for the ground targets who won the match. It would appear that the complaints that I have heard here and there are true; that, on the whole, WT gives higher rewards to the lesser skilled players. Not necessarily a bad thing though. It gives encouragement to the beginners, and you, sitting at the top of the game pyramid, don't look like you need those SL as much as I do, at skill level 26! Edit; I'm not trying to open a can of worms in my comment, honestly! (lol)

pierre leonard I knew a game which skilled owns the unskilled almost 90% chance. Guess what it doesn't have enough popularity. It's called tiger knight.
I spade everything and to spice the things up I have chosen to work on Tempest Vickers (dual 47s) last couple of days and every game was against the axis (1 in 20 against the russians). I tell you, its a real challenge to kill an italian with the 47s! Im proud to report that the plane is fully spaded and italian planes dont handle 47mm hits very well ;).
Lucky you, 47s seems to have been buffed too. AP-T does respectable damage now, its only a matter of good targeting, while before the results were most frustrating. Looking forward for the review!
Nice job Jengar - something for me to aspire to :) I understand the tactics (mostly) but what I don't understand, and something I haven't seen yet on anyone's commentary, is how you are controlling the aircraft, that is, what keyboard/mouse inputs are you using to, say, control the plane and track your target at the same time. Thanks!
i changed the pitch to w and s, and throttle to shift and ctrl. reload on r, rudder to mouse buttons (i use a razor naga). flaps on f, gear on g. camera is still on c, but once activated i take over with the mouse and fly the plane with the keyboard. This takes a lot of blood sweat and tears to learn and perfect.
so the "Look" camera when used with the mouse is now independent of aircraft movement? How do you make it stay like that once you let go of the "C" key to fly by keyboard? This may be the solution I've been looking for. It would be cool if, in one of your tutorials, you could show the keystrokes while showing the aircraft in action. Thanks again.
Hey Jengar! I may have said this a long time ago....(and not in a galaxy far far away)...but you haven't touched any of the Meteors aside from the F.3! Could you possibly do a video on the F.4s or the F.8? They are similar anyways, it doesn't matter which one you pick, and I think they are underrated when it comes to their potential :)

Yes its better, its better climbrate helps a little bit in the vertical, but its energy retention isnt good in steep vertical angels. An immelman can suck away around 250 km/H.
loved it to Jengar but do u think the Americans fully wrking team still beat the Italians? cause the Italians very well performed planes what u think? $_$ _+_ ($)_($)
Sorry mate, whole droves of ppl have asked me to improve my intro's, so i did, and now not everyone likes it ;) Cant please everyone. Their here to stay though, i think they are better then what i used to do.

what about holding energy with the spitfire? i mean... can you go into the vertical with it or do you have to keep it in the horizontal?

and sometimes the ones going for ground targets aren't the less skilled pilots but the ones who want their RP fast

Jengar Odd how a plane can climb and dive good but can't vertical fight.
it bleeds energy in the steep vertical while maneuvering at the same time. i've seen it loose over 250km/h in immelmans.

If you would do energy fighting you must try c250 serie 3. It's born for high altitude
