I LOVE YOU GUYS! 😘
What I take from this song; Remember where you came from, Stay humble, and appreciate the little things in life.
Javier Vasquez it's about faith and God's natural order of life!!! Love thy neighbor, as you love God. God, Family and Country!! If you can't find joy in the simplicity of life, you will never find the Joy of God. Humility is what we should teach our children. Today's world pushes "self-esteem". All that is is egotism packaged in nice sounding words. That's why we have mindless entitled brats these days.
@@williamcabell142 So true, with Social Media raising children nowadays, kids see the glamorous life of Social Media celebrities and they dont realize that it's all B.S. To me, being rich doesn't mean having lost of money, to me it's being happy in life and appreciating everything you have regardless of how little one has. Being able to work hard everyday and just be a Simple Kind of Man or Woman.
Javier Vasquez
Yes but don’t forget, that’s a lesson from mom. Wisdom. ✌️
Phillip Jenkins my mum been telling me this my whole life ang so because of god’s love thru her I became that man.amen
Because if not you will always play with the Fire, and maybe get burned.
After 40 Years and 8 Years of Prison, i finally understand & feel this Song to the full. My Mum died when i was 9 Years old. But i know for sure, she would told me that.
R.I.P Mama, now i try and give my best to be a Simple Man!
Classic southern rock at its best.
RIP Ronnie and the boys. ✌
There was only one Lynyrd Skynyrd band. It died in Oct. 1977 when Ronnie, Casey and Steve died. Yes indeed, R.I.P.
@@finndog2759 Absolutely!
🤠✌
My Husband and I grew up with this song. And raised our 2 sons like this song. When our oldest son got married, as a tribute to me, he chose this song as our Mother and Son dance. I was beaming with pride. There was not a dry eye. Even the DJ had tears.
This band is my uncle favourite band, he died from lung cancer about 2 weeks ago and everytime hear this band it makes me think of my uncle
Nicki Collis I’m sorry for your loss!
@@PinkMetalHead it's ok Mona, but thank you
I am so sorry for your loss! Just know that he is with you when you listen to the music! 🌹
@@nickicollis593 sorry for loss .Know that Skynryd is the best .
Keep listening then ;)
According to Ronnie Van Zant, the record producer Al Kooper didn't like the song so Ronnie told him, 'just go take a walk and come back in 2 hours.' The band recorded the song by themselves, and it became one of their most popular.
Everyone should relate to this song right here. A 10 out of 10 classic.
Truth is truth, my friend. ❤️
This song brings me to tears every time.
You’ll never go wrong with Skynyrd. 💕💕
I saw Skynyrd a few times in the 70's- They were the ultimate southern shit kickers. They could rock your socks off but then also leave you teary eyed with a beautiful ballad.
I listen to this often just to remind me to stay on track, and not to get wrapped up in the rat race of life. It really helps.
Check out The Ballad of Curtis Lowe by Skynyrd, awesome jam!
Funny I thought you said Curtis Blow! Lol
@@loribrooks7273 That is funny!
@@jomamma1750 🤣oops!
I had Curtis Blow albums too lol
I am a Skynyrd freak! and that is my fav song... and Call me the Breeze!
My BIL danced with his mom to this at the reception when he married my sister. His mom had raised him by herself and he is very much like what is described in this song. It was a heartfelt moment for sure.
Life lesson song right there. One of my other favorites is Gimme Three Steps....really clever and funny.
Gimme three steps is based off an event that involved Ronnie in Gainesville Florida.
Simple Man is the one most important song in my life and I live my life by it. I want it to be how I am remembered if there is anyone left to remember me
Same here ☺️
Skynyrd is cool, as a child of the 70s I'm always down for some good 70s southern rock
You know it!!! I also am a child of the 70's and this brings back a lot of great memories.
Great Southern Rock Ballad. Glad u got to hear it. THX Pink.... You're cute as heck too!
Beautiful song. Reminds me of my teen years listening to Lynard Skynard. Simple man, Freebird, and Sweet Home Alabama.
It was a sad day in 1977 when the tragedy happened. Great band.
Makes me cry most times I hear this tune
Van Zant purposely wrote simple lyrics for his songs, as he believed it made them more universally understood.
Freebird Live from Oakland.
Best guitar solo ever, and arguably one of the greatest songs and performances of all time
Oh most definitely!!!
Absofuckinglutely
Something oddly compelling about watching this lovely young lady react to the classics. She obviously knows the old truism: if it's good, it doesn't matter the genre -- rap, country, grunge, punk -- there is good music to be found if it comes from the heart.
Very true! The heart is what makes the difference....
I like the positive reaction tou had to these lyrics. I'll start following you where I can. LOVE!
One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands
\m/ Excellent, excellent choice, Miss Pink. Skynyrd was one of THE best southern rock band there ever was. Great choice and great reaction. \m/ =D
Your Channel no, they were one of the greatest bands ever.
Great song! Classic!!
Yep. 🍻 One of their best. Thanks for reacting to it.
Thank you for your reaction, your opinion was spot on! This is the song I danced to with my son at his wedding for Mother/ Son solo dance. Very touching for everyone!
Great song,great message,great band.awesome as always pink.check freebird,gimme 2 steps ,that smell by skynyrd
Probably a typo but it's 3 steps, but yeah great songs
And Simple Man omg PinkMetal...love ya mom n dad we got this
You are a class act, Ms. Pink. The greatest band EVER!!! Thanks for taking the time to get to know Lynyrd Skynyrd. Ronnie Van Zant was the consummate gentleman, wordsmith and down home country boy. 💗
Pretty much how i react EVERY time i hear this. An absolute classic!
Great song. Listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesday's Gone
Oh heck ya "Tuesday's Gone" is a great song. Meaning things changed and it will never be the same.....
Metallica version is good too 😉
Yes absolute fav!!!
The most Amazing song ever written, by one of the most Amazing Bands ever.. If the world lived by the message in the words of this song we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now... Thank you Ronnie and the entire Lynard Skynard Band for all the Wonderful Music you all gave us in the short time you were here...
We all hear music our own way. To me this is one of the most beautiful songs written
One of my all-time favorites.
One more thing: this is my absolute favorite song by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I used to listen to it on my kiddie record player when I was 7 years old back in 1983 lol! It had a message to me even back then. Lately, I have been taking care of my mother that is 83 years old. I cherish these years with her. So many things you can learn the most from a lady this age. Time is delicate. Learn and prosper. Smart words as always, PinkMetalHead. Peace out. Mark
Spirit - When I Touch You.
Uriah Heep - July Morning. Humble Pie - Live With Me. Uriah Heep - Paradise - The Spell.
Great Reaction Nothing like some good old Classic rock
Another great reaction, Young Beauty. Keep on keepin' on, Dear.
Gimme three steps. Great Skynyrd song!
Hey beautiful, glad your liking Skynyrd. Check out Allman Brothers Whipping Post or Statesboro Blues. Just classic southern rock songs.
If you wanna check out Allman Brothers definitely listen to These 4 ABB Albums. Live from the Fillmore East (that double album launched their career) Eat a Peach, Brothers and Sisters, and Peakin at the Beacon. The best and the original Southern Rock by the inventors of southern rock. Then Check out. Tedeschi Trucks Band you'll like all of the above if you like Lynyrd Skynyrd
Duane Allman developed the early sound of the Allman Brothers directly from listening to The first Taj Mahal album.
Actually Statesboro Blues was the second song on that Taj Album. Taj is incredible in his own right and was an inspiration to Duane Allman...well known story behind his learning slide guitar and that very album.
A good short upbeat Skynyrd song is Down South Jukin from their Gold and Platinum album.
It`s just one of those classic rock songs you grow up with and still enjoy years later.
The best song they have. And i love them all. Lol
This song is BEAUTIFUL and very moving. And this coming from someone who is NOT a Skynyrd fan, except for this song. They truly hit on something special here, and it connects with me because it is how I have long tried to live my life, and these words were exactly what my mom would have spoken to me. But she's gone now, and not a day goes by that she doesn't cross my mind. Never did find that woman, though, but I tried mom, Lord knows I tried.
I danced with my mom to this at my wedding. She told me that was all she ever wanted for me. I've been missing her for a couple of years now, but if I could tell her, I'd say is "I am." My eyes are sweating now.
Many great suggestions by others, but one that really stands out to me is "Things Goin' On" from their first album.
Still relevant to this day.
doesn't matter where you come from or what your sex is, nothing beats this motto!
Chris Stapleton covered this song live on tour. Only man to ever put me in tears.
SIMPLE MAN has a huge life lesson within the song !!!
I always enjoy yr sincere reactions..love from Australia
One of the greatest songs ever.
Reminds me of the time my grandad sat me down at age 17 before I left for the army. Sittin on our front porch in Texas having my 1st beer before I shipped out. Served 12 years proudly. I'll never forget that day on that old dusty porch with my grandad.
What a kick arse song!!, great song to review.
I love your reactions, Pink. Thanks for the videos and keep it up!
I like your vids but I had to see this. I raised my son on this song. Even when he's mad at mom he still loves this song - it always leads him home. Got to go dry my eyes now. Glad you liked it 😊
Southern rock at its best. Saw them live... in the Netherlands in 97. Check out Freebird the outtake version. The guitar solo is outstanding. Keep up the good work. Keep on rocking 🤟
That song came out in '73 and at 65 I still like it. Yes it has a timeless appeal. You must be all of 19 so here we are 40 something years apart good music is good in 1973 and still good in 2019. As Neil Young once said 🎼Keep on Rockin in the free world 🎶 Doesnt matter if it Lynyrd Skynyrd or Marvin Gay if it has a good message and a back beat that you can listen to and maybe makes you wanna move your feet it's all good.
My favorite Skynyrd song ❤❤❤❤
Oh, Skynyrd..."The Band Of The South"...that's right! They are ours!! We claim them!! LOL... I grew into a 39 years young man, down in the Beautiful South Carolina, from a " barefoot youngin' " running wild and free to the man I am today...with my own barefoot youngin' running wild and free... and of all that time Skynyrd was somewhere intertwined through all of it!! Ronnie His dad Lacy and Brother's Johnny and Donnie, Leon, Allan, Gary, Billy, Steve, and Casi Ganes, Artimus, Ed King...These dudes as I grew up, were like Royalty...or some awesome uncles that everyone loved, (maybe more than you could believe) ...if you even dared utter a bad word on them boys...you would have to leave carrying all your belongings with you as you go!... There's no making 2 trips...and nobody even gave a shit if you were only 12....you get your shit together and kick rocks!!! Needless to say...we don't trust anyone who bad mouths Skynyrd!!! R.I.P boys...thank you for all the years! Also, anyone, I forgot...and all the new blood that's come in throughout the years...We thank you all for keeping our band ALIVE AND WELL, ALL THESE YEARS! Thanx, to you also PinkMetalHead...enjoyed the video! So much more for you to discover with Skynyrd...hope you do that...no, not for me....but for you!!! God Bless-
There is some amazing music out there and it crosses all boundaries....That's what great music does...
Thanks for the reaction hun!!! My mom dedicated this song to me when I was born and first put into her arms. I listen to it whenever I’m feeling really down etc....♥️☺️
Greetings from San Diego my dear, I just discovered your reaction videos. This classic being the first one. I've Subscribed, and look forward to seeing and listening to more.😊
Simple Man great song . Because Mom said so. I would really like someone please do a reaction or review to .... Wait for it . The ballad of Curtis loew by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Curtis Loew was one of my favorite Skynyrd songs, which made me different from my friends in high school who were all screaming "Free Bird!" all the time.
Simple Man and Curtis Loew also my favorites along with Saturday Night Special.
My favorite song of all time. Just hits me in the feels.
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird.
Humble Pie - Live With Me.
Another fun song by Skynyrd is Gimme Three Steps! 😀
Definitely react to "Free Bird" live at Wembley. Totally amazing!! Love Lynard Skynard!
Janetjrfan Oakland!
J_Rab101 also great!
Tuesday's Gone. Beautiful Song...
This is a drinking song with drinking out of dixie cups out in the woods laidback kinda feel good song. 👍
Hello PinkMetalHead. Thanks for sharing your reaction with all of us.
Yessss classic....You must follow this with the most famous rock at ever.. FREEBIRD!!
HAS one of if not the most famous Gutiar solos EVER..Three lead guitars Going all out all at once it's a must pwease....
Also Tuesdays gone would be a good follow up as it is also about time passing and going on
I recommend Steven Stills' "Black Queen" (it's about a card game) There are tow versions, the acoustic and electric. While I love both versions, I REALLY love the acoustic. Then, there's also "Treetop Flyer".
Everyone should own Stephen Still's album _Stills Alone._ One of the all time great acoustic albums.
Skynyrd is my favorite band of all time. Try Tuesdays gone, that smell,on the hunt, gimme three steps, comin home, Workin for MCA, ballad of Curtis Lowe, sweet home Alabama and of course Free Bird. Unfortunately we have lost most of the band may they all R.I.P. Lynyrd Skynyrd rocks nuff said.
Nice reaction. I agreed with everything you said. Plus you are still looking so beautiful! That's a plus!
I love songs that teach and inspire. This and Time by pink Floyd do this. LISTEN and learn. Wish I had realized this 40 years ago. Time flies....and every day matters.
Best.....Video.....Ever!!!
this song was there in the darkest hour of my life, when there was no one else.
The Cult-Fire Woman next
Yes, and The Cult - Rain ruclips.net/video/RD5b_0QB0wI/видео.html
You know what I mean? ¦ O
Excellent song to react to, Pink. A great cover of this song is by the band Shinedown.
One of my faves, for sure. Ty Pink
I was just about to close out when you said our children should be listening to this. I had to stop and say thank you. Welcome to the Lynyrd Skynyrd rabbit hole. There's a lot of good advice in their songs. They sang about the real life they led
Thank you for posting this reaction. Such a brilliant song - simple but poignant - it was based on actual experiences from the bands' lives with respect to their moms and grandmas and the advice they got as kids and young men. Another Skynyrd song that is worth checking out is Working for MCA - it is pure, powerful, and features the usual 3 guitar harmonies so common with their music.
Still my fav southern rock bands!
Couldn't agree more✊
Agreed...such an honest song. I would really love to see you react to something from Gil Scott Heron, maybe "the Bottle" or "Home is where the hatred is". Also very heartfelt, but heartbreaking.
Best southern rock band of all time! Hands down.😊😊😊
Ronnie had some great songs that cover many issues in life. He was a real thinker and he cared about the people he knew and his fans. Another good song that relates to this one is "Am I losin." I guess you could say it's the other side of this.
The LIVE version is great also😊. This song is about a mother who loves her son enough to make AND take the time to ensure that her son understands God fearing, Honest, Loving, Hardwork IS what matters in one’s life, NOT being envious, jealous of what others have, of being guilty of stealing from others hard work to EARN what they have been Blessed with😊. The mother is telling her son that he does NOT have to conform to mankind’s “view” of so-called “success”, that as long as he, her son, keeps The Lord in his heart & thoughts, Loves his wife and family and continues to WORK, there is NOTHING wrong with him being a “Simple Man”😊. wado,ANN BENSON.
Lynard Skynard - Gimme Two Steps
Sean Rosenau - Wring spelling and wrong amount of steps, but other than that, good choice...
Lynyrd Skynyrd Saturday Night Time Special has an awesome drum intro.
A brilliant song that has a message that is true and meaningful.
My entire family knows that this song will be played at my funeral.
Tuesday's Gone is a definite if you haven't already heard it. Freebird is a must for all rock fans, one of the greatest guitar solos ever!!
Skynyrd screams “ ‘Merica “ baby.
greatest southern band ever..
One of the top rock anthems of all time.
This song has been beautiful since the ‘70’s
So true just like that all can be gone. RIP Ronnie
I'm an old hippie. I know what this song is about. Be a Simple Kind of Man...someone you love and understand...Mama told ya.
