I think Lydia and Connie are good for Daryl. Other than Carol and Rick, those two are the only ones that make him kinda open up.

And mine isn't coming up till tomorrow ;) . Typically in the past I'd have mine up about an 90-120mins after episode airs. But in my reacting return , I didn't get to watch and record my reaction till about 130ish am. Then I wanted to leave a little love for this two before I went to sleep. I'll be getting mine up tomorrow afternoonish. My goal will be to have up by maybe 3-4 CST tomorrow.

Yeah Negan did the right thing but it seemed like a bit of his anger came back and unintentionally killed her. He really connected with Lydia so that would let his guard down like that.

It's really not hard to like him. Probably depends on the person tho. He's definitely not good in a moral sense but that's also the reason why i like him so. I like complex "grey area" kind of characters.

I feel so sad for Lydia. She wants to fit in, but certain people won't let her. I also feel sad for Daryl. He wants to protect her, but he can't watch her every second of everyday.
Also I think carol let negan out. If Daryl was watching all night he wouldn’t stop her. They were talking about about how he was a distraction and that they need to focus on other problems. That would be the easiest way to deal with that,
jeff wolf wouldn’t be the first time our Carol has gotten around completely undetected.
Either Carol or Daryl. When he went to the cell he said immediately it wasn’t Lydia and said he’d kept watch on the house all night. But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have done it himself. Michonne did say “I know you’ll do the right thing”. So maybe that’s what went down. Carol also likely I think!

My thought is that Siddiq is just dealing with a mix of PTSD and survivor's guilt. Alpha may have been saying "good" to Siddiq for complying with her request to tell his people what had happened.

Honestly, not happy that Carol completely dropped Ezekiel. He has no one to console in that knows exactly how he feels. She doesn't have to be with him to grieve with him.
look at how he treated her and started trying to push her own family away from her.
I think it just shows that Henry is the only thing that really bonded her to him. I never quite believed their union to begin with.

What if Gabriel was the one who freed Negan. That would be hilarious. Every time Negan runs away Gabriel's involved. When he accidentally left the cell door unlocked, when Negan ran off looking for Judith during the storm, and now on Negan's trial.
Another good episode. Love your reactions. I was pissed when Lydia was getting jumped but I'm glad Negan stepped in. Judith and Michonne were bad ass swinging their swords against the walkers.
I wonder who released Negan.
Judith using a sword like that makes me sad that they never thought to teach Carl to use a sword. His ass never would have gotten bit if he had this training.
Three things I took from the episode
1) Ezekiel has some sort of sickness. He is suicidal (I know he lost everything to him, but there’s more). And in the premiere episode, he was the only one they focused on coughing. Plus he looked mortified after telling Jerry he was alright
2) They’re about to pull off some iconic comic material in the next couple episodes. Fun fact... the scene where Lydia was attacked was actually, in the comics, Rick being attacked by two men who lost family members to the pikes. Rick bit one of the dude’s throats out, as Rick naturally does.
3) Luke and/or Kelly is in hot water.
Yeah I think Ezekiel is sick... I think Kelly won't be able to hear an approaching threat and get captured and killed... Luke's goodbyes seemed like his last goodbye...
Carol said that last week about the Whisperers wearing them down.

Been saying I've been very disappointed with the way they're handling Ezekiel this season. He lost 90% of his Kingdom, both Henry & Benjamin & Shiva along with Carol & she doesn't seem to give 2 shits he doesn't have anyone to grieve with.
you're mad at the writing or you like the arc but you just hate what the characters are doing lol?
It's actually not that she doesn't care. It's more that she's doing that typical old school Carol thing that's ALWAYS annoyed me about her character : walk away/ignore things... and then because you don't have to deal with it anymore, it's not real anymore, you don't have to feel anymore. She did this in season 7. She did this when Rick kicked her out(She said as much to Daryl when they finally talked about it in S5). It's literally became her go to thing. Whenever Carol has had too much, she just shuts down completely, and wants to put her head in the ground. I understand the first time.. the second time.. fine. Now it's just like okay, give her some growth. I get Ezekiel acting this way. He's never really had to go through this kind of thing, in the way Carol has. So for him, this is new territory. So hopefully this leads to something new and fresh for CAROL. Because holy hell, her character has been beyond stale for me for quite some time. She is right though..

Yeah, I'm kinda disappointed that Carol makes no mention of Zeke at all. You'd be forgiven for thinking their relationship never happened.
This episode was awesome. Negan commits another heroic act again. First he saved Judith, then Aaron and now he saved Lydia! Also, the defense fight against the walker horde was cool and it was awesome seeing Michonne and Judith slicing them up with their swords together. But yeah, I felt Aaron was being an ungrateful asshole this episode for talking against Negan despite Negan saving his life literally last episode.
Mad props to Michael Cudlitz for directing this episode!
The only question I have is do you feel that Ezekiel and Rosita will both die at a later point in this season with what we're given thus far?

I've been anxiously pushing this friggin extraordinary show for at least a year on and off. I don't write things in posts here anymore. They said that when they are ready, they will post something for show suggestions......but yes...The Handmaids Tale should definitely be considered in the top. That show is incredible. Puts you through the ringer in so many ways. It's truly phenomenal.

The scene where Judith and Michonne are standing side to side with their swords killing a herd reminds me a lot of when in season 4, the prison fences get busted and Rick and Carl stand the same way and kill the horde together, and I think it was done on purpose. Angela Kang is a genius.

Ezekiel is a gem. Such a good guy, I can empathise with that degree of heartache losing your loved one, then he’s got an extra truckload more of painful stuff piled on top!
I’m glad Michonne spotted him at that time and for stepping forward onto the edge with him to let him feel he was not alone.
I also thought their kids in the trailer was a relationship! But love isn’t as easy of bouncing from one relationship into the next. Heartache consumes you. He’s such a great guy and I hope he gets to have happiness again

You guys make great points. Something is definitely off with Siddiq. Its hard to say, but maybe he was indeed forced, by Alpha, to "get his hands dirty". Was he that scared for his life to do that?? Did Alpha threaten everyone's lives, not just the pike victims?? Alpha would have to kill me, I could never participate in killing people I love or care for. Cant wait to see what's up with all of that.
Alpha did try to get Lydia to kill Henry,so it's possible she succeeded with Siddiq.
This was my theory. That he was forced to participate under threat. Maybe that she'd wipe out their whole community with her walkers if he didn't. And well, besides that, he has a child to think about so it's possible she threatened and he did it.

Those three people (actually two people) who attacked Lydia have to realize that this won't change anything. They are not doing a service, they're just bullies.
It never occurred to me that Siddiq had anything to do with it until you mentioned it. It kind of makes sense with everything going on with him. I think that Alpha possibly threatened Rosita and the baby’s life, and that would definitely make him do it. Would be quite the twist and definitely sounds like something TWD would do.
It seems to me like Siddiq started the ice bucket challenge in the zombie apocalypse!

I think Carol freed Negan. She knew the Negan drama would distract the community and she wants them to focus on the real threat. (Recall her conversation with Daryl) It would be reminiscent of her taking independent action back at the prison when she killed the 2 sick people in hopes of quelling the viral outbreak. This is just a more rational and less lethal version of that.
And do you think negan should hang out with Lydia?
Maybe someone that likes Negan let him out to ‘fix’ the problem. He could meet the whispers to do some kind of ‘revenge’ for the communities and show them that he has changed and he can be helpful.
Everyone is like '' I can't wait for them to unleash Negan on the Whisperers'' And I'm just thinking Negan may very well Join the Whisperers, and just be done with it... He's already taking a liking to Lydia so Alpha would certainly be pleased.

As far as killing whisperers have a few individuals with good fighting skills disguise themselves as whisperers infiltrate the camp and quietly slit a few throats wait for chaos to ensue while another group leads some walkers to said chaos. Whisperers won't know who is a walker and who isn't, self preservation is going to kick in and will cause the whisperers to most likely start killing anyone who looks like a walker even fellow whisperers cause its hard to tell in the dark. Could kill quite a lot of them this way
I think Dante ' the spy' is tagging the walls to cause a divide in Alexandria. I'm rewatching. I am just about to see the Governor attack the prison with a tank. Just saw the first time Michionne held baby Judith and the emotions it made her face. She is a mini me in her movements when you see her killing walkers along side her mum.
Maybe Sadiq was part of luring them into the barn or away from the fair

I was very worried about Luke this episode because it felt like a MAJOR goodbye with his whole group at the end there before they left for Oceanside. I have a bad feeling we're going to lose at least 1 or 2 from Magna's group before the end of this season, don't want it to happen, but I just have a gut feeling we will.
I am worried for Luke but I think this is their first time being separated as a little group right?
It would be cool if Negan actually infiltrated the Whisperers since he' s nowhere to be found. He could gain an understanding as to how they operate and what would be the best tactic to defeat them in the long run. Perhaps he will go under disguise and stay for a while and then report back to Michone or Daryl.
Alpha showed Daryl the herd last season and Daryl took Carol to see it, too, but that "pit" was empty. Since it was right after the fire & the walkers were gone, I would say Alpha had nothing to do with what is happening at each community. Purely coincidentally. Even though Alpha says they are always watching, does she know which community Lydia is in? Probably not. Like Michonne told Daryl, he's got to protect Lydia. Sending walkers to destroy the communities would put Lydia in danger
It's amazing how Angela Kang has all of us actually rooting for Negan now. That's quality writing there. How do you guys feel about rooting for Negan now? I can't help but want him to become a part of things.

I just got done recording my reaction to the episode.! First reaction episode I've done in since season 8 Ep.12 I thanked several reactor's for inspiring me into getting back into the reactor game. I honestly had so much swirling around in between the ears that I think I forgot to mention you two. I just wanted to say it right now and here, you two are probably tied for the biggest reason I am returning to the reacting game :) My wife will probably be joining me for future episodes(minus the next one, will still be visiting her home country) but Both Nikki and Steve are big reasons why I decided to get back into reactor game. Thanks for putting up with me her in your channel since pretty day 1 of your TWD reactions. Keep up the great work. Though both Michonne and Ezekiel are lonely and have suffered a lot of loss... I don't think either of them are over their last relationship either. They are still in love with Rick/Carol... they don't want someone new, they want what they had and until that changes neither are ready to move on.
Their losses are very different. Michonne still has two children to care for.
Ezekiel feels like he's failed everyone he's ever loved. Jerry included. Jerry, who has his own family to take care of...
it's all so sad. These poor babies. :(
I think this tree was cut down by Earl and Alden. This is not the whisperers. These two wanted the communities to start a war with the whisperers over the deaths of Tammy and Enid. You just look at the suspicious face of Alden against the background of this tree. And these two immediately began to blame the whisperers. If this tree were rotten, they would have been cut down for a long time. And now it fell unexpectedly. I think they want to start a war with the whisperers, just as Richard once wanted Ezekiel to start a war with the Savior.
It breaks my heart that anybody ever had such little faith in poor Siddiq. I never did. Not after Carl. I just felt awful for him. All this PTSD was due to him feeling like he failed Enid and everyone else. He wasn't ALLOWED to die, and I always got the impression he would have rather gone down fighting with and for his friends, like Carl would have, and like he said in that beautiful devastating speech, he was ready to die with them but she wouldn't let him. Being forced to watch all that while not understanding why he was allowed to live was way worse for him than killing him. And Enid was Carl's girlfriend dude like this guy already had survivors guilt because Carl died saving him, guilt which he put to great use and never wasted by the way, and now he's got that guilt compounded tenfold. Poor dude was barely hanging on and people still thought he was some kinda weasel. I'll never understand it.
