In fact the whole student movement now is get into medicine (with any undergrad degree as long as you get the necessary marks) and then into a lucrative specialty after that. Why in heavens name are students doing Music degrees, engineering or commerce and then applying to Medicine ? Worst yet, why are medical schools accepting them ?

Im really anxious what average I need at least to get into the competitive program which is my first choice... What was your average for high school? (For top 6)
You forgot York University's Schulich Business, and Lassonde Engineering are on of the top programs in Canada, as well as psychology, law, and many others
don't worry! that;'s exactly how i felt this same time last year :) everything will work out - just make sure to go and get as much information as you can from various unis/programs to help you make the most informed decision :)
haha i answered a similar question earlier so i'm just going to copy paste my response from there: "my average for cs/health sci was 94.8 and for ce it was 92.8 as for ecs, i really don't think it's the quantity that matters. everyone joins a bunch of clubs or does extracurriculars just cause that's what they think universities want to see and then they aren't able to stand out. i would recommend doing things that you are truly passionate about and enjoy even though they might not be the most conventional. personally, i had a large focus in athletics - playing high performance volleyball and regional competitive soccer which gave me the opportunity to get some leadership opportunities in these areas (ie. referee, school coach). i participated in like 3-4 clubs but i wasn't that involved in most of them and only wrote about 1 in my applications. other ecs include grade 10 piano, co-founder of a small jewelry business & freelance content creator/photographer :) nothing crAzY like on those reddit threads but everything i did was because i enjoyed them and was thus able to right about them with more passion and reflection on lessons that i've learned. i truly believe that with these its quality >> quantity :) hope this helped & best of luck with your applications xx"
LMAO @UofT EngSci your mom: “let me tell the world” so precious this makes me appreciate my admissions bc you got into a bunch of programs i seriously doubt i would have been admitted to but i did get into one you didn’t and i’m very thankful that by chance it worked out for me. where are you headed next year??

Whoa congrats on passing most of them!!!! I’ve gone around UofT and McGill when I went travelling just last month - Montréal is beautiful and McGill is literally in the heart of the city!!! I mean, you should consider the environment you’re gonna wanna study/live in for your uni life (trust!!! I’m currently living in Sask and it suuuuckssss) but I think wherever you go, you’ll be fine!!!! Congrats!!!
McGill is overrated lol. The downtown area is okay but depending on what u want to do, Toronto is more vibrant imo. (I lived in Quebec b4 so I'm prolly biased for Toronto lol)
thank you so much!! both those school's have amazing campuses and two of my best friends will be going to mcgill in the fall so i'll be sure to explore the city while i go visit them :) i ended up choosing mcmaster which is in the small town of hamilton, but it'll still be close to big cities like toronto! best of luck with the rest of your studies xx
LOL i think wherever we live we think other places are better 😩 i've only been to montreal like twice and toronto a couple of times but i think they're both pretty cities!
thank you! i might make a general admissions video but the process is very different for the various schools/programs so feel free to send me an email or dm if you have any specific questions
This question is very vague.. what's the program that you want to be doing? The three hardest undergrad program at uoft (downtown) is engineering, comp sci and rotman (best to have close to mid to high 90s average while rotman requires a high 80 to low 90 with decent ECs).
Andrew said it very well! there are different requirements for each program - some like engineering are more competitive to get into while others are less :) the ones he listed are generally the ones that are the hardest to get accepted into but if you want to look for specific requirements they definitely have them online: just type in 'uoft undergraduate viewbook' and you'll be brought to a pdf document with a table competitive averages near the end :)

In fact the whole student movement now is get into medicine (with any undergrad degree as long as you get the necessary marks) and then into a lucrative specialty after that. Why in heavens name are students doing Music degrees, engineering or commerce and then applying to Medicine ? Worst yet, why are medical schools accepting them ?
this is my first time seeing one of these videos, loving it ! 🥰
yay! glad you enjoyed :)
I love your eye smile . It shows ur very happy
awww
This is the third Canadian Version of college acceptance videos I have seen today
Thanks for sharing - tbh not sure how I got here. I just graduated from my PhD after 11ish years of post secondary school, not to scare you... and your video gave me the feels from remembering the days when I got my acceptances and rejection. Some of my responses came in thick envelopes in the mail though 🐌 I guess that dates me now! I hope you enjoyed your first year and will continue to thrive. Xo.
most ppl here: in senior year or in highschool
me: in Gr. 7 stressing over how imma do highschool
me too
Same except I’m in grade 8
that was me in gr 7 too, you should actually start stressing in sem 2 gr 10 - gr 12 plz don't be like me and waste ur life worrying you'll be fine!

Finally a video I can actually understand for universities! I wanna go utm
Hi, just curious, what was your GPA when you applied for McGill? I'm in grade 12 and super anxious about my grades.
Did you end up getting in ? What ave and what program did u apply to?
You’re videos are so inspirational! 🥺🤍 i have a question, what was your average in high school? im curious since u got into some good uni. btw ur so pretty 😩❤️

Anne Lavallee thank you so much!! xx
94 rejected by u of t cs first round, 96 rejected by Waterloo cs second round, lol 😭😂😂😂😂
oof rejections sucK but i hope you ended up getting into a program that you're excited to go into in the fall :)
Wow I got into uoft cs and eng 2 years ago with 91-92 avg lol. I'm at mac tho. I heard that they look at your school's rep too, some schools are known as "easy"
@@sillygoosechinachina I've been to quite a few schools in Ontario and I can definitely see that schools in Ottawa have a better rep. I'm dying at this school but I'm only in gr10 and business isn't my specialty either.
Coongraats that's amazing! Hope to see you at UofT next year ;)
thank you! xx
Congrats on all the exceptions! My dream university in Canada would be UBC it’s a great school
thank you so much!! UBC is amazing and the campus is gorgeous :)
the behaviour you exhibited was iconic like. the legend jumped out 😩
STOPPPPP DO NOT KILL ME IM DEAD
at first i was like huh???? AND THEN I REMEMBERED IT HAHAH
Hey I got into Mac Health Sci too!!! Loved this vid, maybe I'll see you there!
Oh hey congrats! I got into Eng! Will we ever meet?
@@daniyel I got into Eng as well!
Could you let me know some of your ECs and GPA if you dont mind?
And now she made it into her video LOL
congrats allie!!
thanks sharon!
Wait ... How many programs did you apply to be exact? How much money did you spend on this process girl? Each program that you applied worth $50 and there are fees for supplementary - online interview admission.
haha...too many...when i was first starting the application process i wasn't too sure what i wanted to study and my grades also werent the best (back then) so i was scared i wasn't going to get into any good programs. i think i applied to 11 or 12? mcgill's pricing is a little different because its out of province but the overall amount was quite hefty. better safe than sorry though! looking back now, i definitely think i could have applied to like half the amount of programs but when you're going through the process it was definitely reassuring to know that i would most likely get in SOMEWHERE :)
Love your intro!! And love this video. Congrats! 📚
thank you so much!!
i've heard amazing things abt UofL and UofA!!
about to go check your other vids to see which school you chose (and hopefully why!) but I'm struggling to decide between UBC and McGill right now and I have to decide this week! (also got into a few other schools but as of now those are my top two)
ooo congrats with your offers!! wishing you the best xx
Hey Allie! I believe you joined Phi for PreFrosh at UofT in May and I was one of your Head Leedurs LOL
This video popped up in my recommendations randomly and I’m so glad it did! Congrats on your acceptances and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions :))
Tanishq Singh heyyy haha that’s awesome I remember!! I’ll be sure to reach out if I do have anything in mind xx
You got into so many good schools, you were definitely one of the smartest in your grade
im in grade 10 and McGill is my dream school and im stressing and i don't need to for 2 years...smh
Woahh McMaster Health Science is super competitive to get in!! Congrats!!!
can you please make an advice video on your grades, the extra circulars you were in. I'm doing pre-ib and I really want to go to health science in Mcmaster
HI SORRY i totally missed your comment! i probably won't do a stats/extracurriculars video but if you have any questions about that feel free to shoot me a dm!
yaayyy this is elite!
Im really anxious what average I need at least to get into the competitive program which is my first choice...
What was your average for high school? (For top 6)
What's your first choice? For most competitive programs you're gonna need at least a 90 and good extracurriculars
You forgot York University's Schulich Business, and Lassonde Engineering are on of the top programs in Canada, as well as psychology, law, and many others
I’m also from Canada and in grade 12! But I’m so scared of graduating and finding the right path or university
don't worry! that;'s exactly how i felt this same time last year :) everything will work out - just make sure to go and get as much information as you can from various unis/programs to help you make the most informed decision :)
FINALLY a canadian one!!!!
whoaaa McMaster health science is amazing, what were your stats/extracurriculars?
haha i answered a similar question earlier so i'm just going to copy paste my response from there: "my average for cs/health sci was 94.8 and for ce it was 92.8 as for ecs, i really don't think it's the quantity that matters. everyone joins a bunch of clubs or does extracurriculars just cause that's what they think universities want to see and then they aren't able to stand out. i would recommend doing things that you are truly passionate about and enjoy even though they might not be the most conventional. personally, i had a large focus in athletics - playing high performance volleyball and regional competitive soccer which gave me the opportunity to get some leadership opportunities in these areas (ie. referee, school coach). i participated in like 3-4 clubs but i wasn't that involved in most of them and only wrote about 1 in my applications. other ecs include grade 10 piano, co-founder of a small jewelry business & freelance content creator/photographer :) nothing crAzY like on those reddit threads but everything i did was because i enjoyed them and was thus able to right about them with more passion and reflection on lessons that i've learned. i truly believe that with these its quality >> quantity :) hope this helped & best of luck with your applications xx"
wow you were amazing! Congratulations you really deserve it! :)
LMAO @UofT EngSci your mom: “let me tell the world” so precious
this makes me appreciate my admissions bc you got into a bunch of programs i seriously doubt i would have been admitted to but i did get into one you didn’t and i’m very thankful that by chance it worked out for me.
where are you headed next year??
haha asian parent things 🤪 to be honest i didn't think that i would get into most of these either hence why i applied to so many haha but yay i'm so happy for you!! what will you be studying?
i'm headed off to mac for health sci in the fall :)
Thanks for this video as there aren’t many Canadian uni acceptance vids. I’m going to grade 11 in the fall so this was informative.
Yesss love this vid and your intro sm🥰
Bailey Dir aw thank youu 💖
yay im canadian!!!
Whoa congrats on passing most of them!!!! I’ve gone around UofT and McGill when I went travelling just last month - Montréal is beautiful and McGill is literally in the heart of the city!!! (And the city is literally uphill lol) If you wanna be surrounded by Québécois so you could speak some French, consider McGill!!
LOL i think wherever we live we think other places are better 😩 i've only been to montreal like twice and toronto a couple of times but i think they're both pretty cities!
i’m applying at the same universities :) the stress is real haha
good luck!!
Which ones did you get into?
@@sepehrdadnosrati6131 got into all the ones i followed through with :) some required extra essays, etc
@@donut645 woohooo good for you! Good luck with uni :)
This video came in my recommendations and I’m so happy 🙈
aww glad you enjoyed!!
Congratulations! Could you also provide an insight into the application process though, concerning the supplemental part and what all is considered?
thank you! i might make a general admissions video but the process is very different for the various schools/programs so feel free to send me an email or dm if you have any specific questions
We need a video about tips when apply for universities ♥️ Love your video btw
thank youu & for sure! i'll start brainstorming for that :)
What is the minimum requirement to get into UofT? Like, grades/percentage wise and so?
BTW, Loved the video! Congrats😊👍
This question is very vague.. what's the program that you want to be doing? The three hardest undergrad program at uoft (downtown) is engineering, comp sci and rotman (best to have close to mid to high 90s average while rotman requires a high 80 to low 90 with decent ECs).
Andrew said it very well! there are different requirements for each program - some like engineering are more competitive to get into while others are less :) the ones he listed are generally the ones that are the hardest to get accepted into but if you want to look for specific requirements they definitely have them online: just type in 'uoft undergraduate viewbook' and you'll be brought to a pdf document with a table competitive averages near the end :)
this video is basically this girl flexing how smart she is...
Finally a Canadian yay
Wowww congratulations on your acceptances!!! I am going into grade 12 this fall and am quite nervous for the application process.
thank you so much!! wishing you the best of luck with your applications xx
Congrats! Do a stats video?? :)
thank you! i might film one soon if there is high demand 🥰
