@@g.r.o.g.u.1892 It's so funny (well, sad), to look at all the people who were complaining about the peaceful days in Berserk, now all depressed with Guts
The way the beast of darkness sat on the dragonslayer with paws folded like, "well, well, well. Look who can crawling back for power..." That was absolutely insane
the panel of Griffith on the sword is probably one of my favorite pieces of imagery from the new chapters. for me it calls back to what Griffith said after the first time they dueled, “You now belong to me”. after all this time Griffith still holds complete dominance over Guts, both in body and mind, and that panel does an incredible time of driving that point home
Based on my own interpretation as well. Guts was initially striking the beast of darkness, which by now we all know it's essentially guts hatred and trauma manifested into this creature. However when guts decides to strike it, it changes imagery and turns into griffith. Which I think showcases to us readers that griffith is still the source of all guts pain and as you said is still in control of his soul in a way. He's the reason guts is despair and the beast of darkness is trying to take advantage of this so that it can let guts yield to it.
For some reason Whenever I see the beast of darkness, I always get excited because I want to know what is going to happen next and he just looks cool imo
Same! I got chills and flashbacks to the conversation where he told guts he'd be biding his time and waiting and now that time is here! Terrified and excited at the same time
He is definetly perfect perfect reperesentation of devil on the shoulder, have absolutely stellar design and he is capable of quite seducing lines. I have to say that in retrospect fact that Guts was always seconds from turning into monster is what made him such fascinating character.
I hope the Kushan are there on the order of Daiba and they will restrain Guts somehow. Even though the Beast of Darkness looks cool and all, I don't want Guts to give in to it.
Not gana lie when he said that I thought he was going to end up killing himself or worse use the bahelt I don’t think he’ll end up doing that at least I hope he doesn’t but in that moment I couldn’t help but feel absolute dread and sadness when he said those words
I think that when Guts lifted his sword and he saw Griffith instead of the Beast Of Darkness, it was still the beast, it was just manifesting as the thing that brings Guts the most rage. It's reminding Guts that he's beneath Griffith because back during Golden Age when Griffith dodged Guts attack by standing atop his sword, Griffith seemed like this untouchable God.
Guts feels inferior to Griffith he no longer has rage against him. He always felt inferior to Griffith since golden age. That's why he didnt get mad when he saw Griffith on the sword he just collapsed. The ironic part is Griffith felt this same way before the eclipse after guts left. It broke Griffith let's see how guts handles it.

What we are getting are well drawn highlights of Miura's main storyline point, presumably until the final part of the manga. It's not paced and properly structured or even written the way Miura would've done it but for what they're trying to do it's well made. Obviously, they have to give us the story as much as they know while still make it work as a manga. It's impossible to recreate what he would've done, only he could've given us the depth and subtlety and incredible dialogue that we've had until his final chapter. Despite the highlight nature of the chapters under the current studio, they're doing a good enough job to bring us the end of the manga as Miura had envisioned it - more or less - based on what he told his friend and his assistants.
I think your exactly right. I think the team right now is doing as good a job as they can for what they have and kentaro Miura was a genius. it’s hard to replicate his amazing ability so what we have is still good and it’s still great we will get an end to berserk
Exactly, like for instance the Kushan appearing so suddenly. It seems so out of nowhere because how could they have known they were on that ship in the middle of nowhere when they didn't even know the island existed that they are now leaving. But its likely that had Miura been able to write it, it would have had some more set up, like they have been sailing for awhile and were heading for land, so they were more likely to be noticed by someone. But because they only know that Miura intended the Kushan to board their ship at some point, they just put it here so its more dramatic. And I think its works well enough, but it really drives home the quick pace it now has.
I don't mind the pace at all. Considering the circumstances this is fantastic that we are getting. Anyone sane should be grateful that we get to see Miura's approximate ending in a manga form.
If we get a moment where guts gets up thinking about how he defeated Griffith once and shows the second duel. And it shows him picking up his sword and saying “I can do it again”

Schierke and Farnese when they are going in through Casca’s dreams is peak and is so symbolic, especially with Guts being a dog and having the Berserker armor.
The Beast of Darkness is a part of Guts' psyche and his internal darkness he tries to suppress, so I hope he does not relinquish himself to his darkness after all he has done to resist those feelings. The sacrificial brand may be the reason he can not touch Griffith being now a God Hand, so hopefully the party can figure this out and help find an exploit with this. Rickert being able to hit Griffith is definitely crucial and I hope he can share this information with his friends if he is with the Kushan raiding the ship.
Guts is sick at his own weakness. So much so, he vomited. Powerlessness has a way of eating at a man like nothing else. Powerlessness leads to hopelessness leads to nothingness where you feel like nothing, you do nothing, and you want to disappear into nothing.

I don’t see any other way now other than him accepting the berserker form, was badass, the ending panel of him just laying their lifeless after hearing the beast of darkness tell him to lend him over to him so he can help him is just GOLD
It looks like they're doing exactly what I thought. Gut's is going to undergo a full individuation. Similar to when Shrike and Farnese went into Casca's mind to help piece her broken psyche back together, Gut's is going to have to face his beast of darkness internally. If it goes the full Jungian (which it honestly seems like they're going to do) he won't refuse the beast, nor will he give himself over to it as it will demand. He's going to have accept that the beast of darkness isn't some foreign entity that is trying to control him. It's a vital part of his psyche, his shadow. He is in control of it, he can tap into his shadow and use it when he needs to, because it is a part of who he is. Where the skull knight rejected his shadow and became a hollow shell animated by his indomitable will. And where the apostles and godhand were consumed by their shadows, and so gave over their humanity for power. Guts will resolve the conflict between his shadow and his ego. The Berserker armour is doing what it was meant to do, it's bringing his shadow to the forefront. Geiseric saw this as a choice to be resolved. A fight between the ego and the shadow, and he used the armour to separate the two things. With his will animating the armour and his body being consumed by the shadow (Zodd.) But the real point of it is to control the shadow, to use it as a tool. That's what I see anyway.
I could see Gutz becoming something like Skull Knight and just being a vehicle of destruction for Falconia. Not sure he’d get the necessary power boost to take on Femto maybe Zod I don’t know. All at the same time, doubtful. He has to meet up with Rickert and co which should help steer him back. Having Sherke, Farnese and the rest is another support system he never had after the eclipse. He’s definitely taken a hit but he’ll endure.
its so sad that because of everything they've been through you truly cant ignore that they can't recover from this and go back to living a normal life, so many things have left holes in both Caska and Guts that we just kinda have to accept that even if Guts completes his goal of keeping Caska safe from Griffith by killing him or whatever the next step for Guts is to just die. They have endured so many things that the hope of a "happy ending" is just denial at this point
Guts actually acknowledges this on the way to falconia after not being able to catch casca as she falls of the ship, "I guess even if you force back what was lost... it still won't be the way it was". He's always been the one to save casca from falling into water as well so that also just adds on it
it would be nice for me atleast for Griffith to redeem himself somehow, it would make him more complex... I mean bis backstory is pretty complex but as of his transformation im getting mixed feelings about him.. it seemed to me that many times he would prefer to talk to Guts but idk... Guts always attacks first and i srsly cant get any Guts Griffith dialogue cause of that and it pisses me off .. i hope we will get some Griffith and Guts talking like regular people... I mean AoT as much as it sucks for me Isayama went for the enemies become best friends/lovers with the cast and people love it... I wanted to puke tbh but i think a civil talk would be nice for a change
@@deadlyfemboy4289 Griffith is beyond redemption. Or rather, he doesn't need redemption. His dream is everything to him. As for talking to Guts, there's nothing to talk about. Guts made Griffith forget his dream and that is unforgivable in the eyes of Griffith, and Griffith raped Casca so there's no forgiveness from Guts. So just hold onto your fantasy 'cause it's not gonna happen.
Kind of hard for the Beast to feed off of a broken man I think the Kushans are going to take everyone hostage, including Guts. But won't take his Dragonslayer because it's too heavy. And the Berserker Armor will be taken off, stored away for later, forcing Guts to rely on himself for the first time in a while Well. That's just a guess
I wouldn't be surprised that Guts returns the favor in the end for Grifffith. His victory move where He split Griffith's sword in half, claiming His freedom.
I really hope that the stage is starting to be set for a climactic battle between the godhand members. At the end of the last chapter Griffith mentioned venturing out East and the Kushan make an appearance at the end of this one. It may be that the other members of the godhand have established their own cities as safe havens in the new world run-amuck by monsters. It would be really cool to see a Griffith-led crusade against another member of the godhand that the Kushan regard as a god incarnate similar to the manner in which Griffith is seen in Falconia. I say this partially because I think it fits the philosophy of demon-kind but also because it would explain the whole thing with different godhand members in the berserker armor flashback from before. This kind of conclusion would also allow for Guts to continue focusing on protecting the ones he loves and resisting the beast of darkness amidst the chaos brought about in the world by higher forces.
The beast of darkness talking to Guts is what I would relate to that conversation a school shooter has with themselves before they decide to devastate a school. They look at that gun, and they decide to give themselves over to that gun in exchange for the power it gives and the destruction it brings. They lose themselves to the inner rage.
I love where the manga is going. I've always felt that Berserk would easily fit in in dystopian literature, known for having very sour endings. What the Beast of Darkness says, basically guiding Guts to become like the Skull Knight, abandoning his humanity to become stronger, which would end up in a very sad ending for the story. I'm excited for the next chapters. This masterpiece deserves the care it is getting.
What I read from your comment is "wow I love the idea that Guts will have a sad ending instead of a well deserved happy ending", how can u say this man u break my heart- I consider people like you THE enemy!!
@@allahalkareem8055 Berserk is not a story where people have happy endings, my dude. Knowing what's in the way of Guts, and what he must do to achieve his goals, I would be satisfied if he ends up like a supernatural being living along with Casca for the rest of her life.
I just finished reading the latest chapter. I wanna punch the air till i pass out right now. I'm truly filled with Anger and Guts...i can't stop crying.
in a ideal world we d follow caska rtrieveher consciouness by herself and then pay the debt she has woth guts and help him, but after this chapter I see that the things are going on another path. The forge smith told guts he had to master the armor, so thats how guts is going to free himself from thie nightmare he was put into, In my opinion, he should free the ship slaying every kushan and a few magicians and go away from his friends, he SHOULDNT move on from the pain on the next chapters, it would feel so ilogical and superficial if on the same night caska has taken guts rise on... it a must for him to come back with TIME, time that could be used for the other character ( kids ) to grow as well, give time for caska to free herself, and time for the world to feel grifs weight through the years, it would be comical if falconia falls just on the same years it was built. Berserk needs a time skip with guts alone
I was hoping Gedfring or one of his fellows would be more active. Sure Schierke is the main magic user of the Band and I understand why they chose her to do this magic rite, but at least the old mages could have given her tips. After all Gedfring seems to be way more skilled than Schierke, being able to summon rain without the four kings of the underworld on which powers Schierke relies.
I hope guts lets the beserker armor fully take him, hes too weak to live much longer, let alone protect everyone, casca will see him die before she turns 40 and grittith istoo strong, plus, varnees cant pull the moon child out
I want to see more of puck! His always talking with guts so hopefully he can help guts out this time as well wifh Scherke doing other stuff it's his time to shine!
I’d didn’t know that something more scarier that an angry raging violent Guts.. ..was a defeated, depressed, one, that scared the shit out of me, this is Guts we are talking about.
3:14 But that's the thing; giving in to the Beast will not solve anything, and it'll probably not empower him to kill Griffith, let alone the rest of the God Hand. He will be swallowed into the Abyss and be gone forever.

With his will animating the armour and his body being consumed by the shadow (Zodd.)
But the real point of it is to control the shadow, to use it as a tool.
Yeah, I feel like Berserk will get a sad but somehow cathartic ending. Guts will die after defeating Griffith and Casca will be safe.
The joy and horror I felt when I got a notification that a new chapter dropped! 😭
what app gives u the notification?
Kind of hard for the Beast to feed off of a broken man
I think the Kushans are going to take everyone hostage, including Guts. But won't take his Dragonslayer because it's too heavy. And the Berserker Armor will be taken off, stored away for later, forcing Guts to rely on himself for the first time in a while
Well. That's just a guess
I wouldn't be surprised that Guts returns the favor in the end for Grifffith. His victory move where He split Griffith's sword in half, claiming His freedom.
There are no chains on the beast!
Remember when puck had to fight off the ghosts when guts was too exhausted. This is like that but 10x worse with the Kushan’s
The beast of darkness is so evil and petty I love it all 10 out 10 chapter!!! Bravo studio GAGA 💯💯💯
Been saying guts the bakiraka and any other magical creatures witches etc are going to team up to fight Griffith
bro the background music. I haven't heard that song in awhile.
What’s the song?
@XIIIR Yeah except that Miura said that the manga will have a good ending
@@vishnueashwar Knowing what Miura did during the whole story, what do you think "good ending" means? I'm not sure about what does that means.
If ANYONE deserves a happy ending it’s Casca and Guts.
the art has improved the students have improved :)
Also loved this chapter
the art is getting good
I just finished reading the latest chapter. I wanna punch the air till i pass out right now. I'm truly filled with Anger and Guts...i can't stop crying.
I’ll never forgive Griffith.
you know that guts is gonna go crazy, next chapter is just gonna be filled with murder
in a ideal world we d follow caska rtrieveher consciouness by herself and then pay the debt she has woth guts and help him, but after this chapter I see that the things are going on another path.
Patience my young padawan..
Man they really are going all out on the art.. its gorgeous
The Beast of Darkness : "Well well well. . . . .Look whose come crawling back. . . . "
Really just thinking about it do you think this could be the final arc of berserk
I think it has been positively stated that it is the final arc
@@kranberryjones1449 was this supposed to be the last arc?Or is it just because the author passed away and they are want to give it an ending?
@@Thestandprouder berserk was stated by miura to be 80% done before he died so yea it won’t go on for 10 years
YO bro your videos are funny af😂, y'all check him out
Almost concerned that they are working an angle where guts (the beast of darkness) may be tempted to use the behelit
I feel like he’ll pull a skull night if he does use his behelit
Reminds me a lot of Guts in the Black Swordsman Arc. The despair at an all time high
Bro every chapter it just gets worse and worse for the party they are really pushing of how bad of a situation they are im and i love it
I was hoping Gedfring or one of his fellows would be more active. Sure Schierke is the main magic user of the Band and I understand why they chose her to do this magic rite, but at least the old mages could have given her tips. After all Gedfring seems to be way more skilled than Schierke, being able to summon rain without the four kings of the underworld on which powers Schierke relies.
Can't wait for the next chapter, will the Beast of Darkness take over or will Guts find new resolve?
what a cliffhanger!😱
Not going to lie when the Kushans busted down the door and stared down guts i loled
1:15 am guessing puck is gone
Will guts ever get to tap that again?
dawg
@@owaves4488 dudes been fighting for decades inside the manga just so that he can use his dragon slayer one more time
I hope guts lets the beserker armor fully take him, hes too weak to live much longer, let alone protect everyone, casca will see him die before she turns 40 and grittith istoo strong, plus, varnees cant pull the moon child out
Nothing nothing but suffering here on end… I hate it profoundly. Plz Guts wake up ! Fight it off !
that last panel 100% will have some certain edits in some time
I want to see more of puck! His always talking with guts so hopefully he can help guts out this time as well wifh Scherke doing other stuff it's his time to shine!
Griffith always be naked honestly
What is the music playing? 5:07
I’d didn’t know that something more scarier that an angry raging violent Guts..
..was a defeated, depressed, one, that scared the shit out of me, this is Guts we are talking about.
3:14
But that's the thing; giving in to the Beast will not solve anything, and it'll probably not empower him to kill Griffith, let alone the rest of the God Hand. He will be swallowed into the Abyss and be gone forever.
Hey Masked Man, think you'll do a video one day analyzing the Star Wars (or other media) and Berserk connections? Particularly the parallels between Darth Vader and Griffith, and what that could mean for the possible ending 🤔
It seems the studio and Mori are starting to get the hang of it
am i the only one who when i saw the beast was actively worried and saying "oh no not again" in my head, i've seen lot's of people complaining and wanting him to go berserk but honestly that's the last thing i want for him. Sure i love me some gore and badass but i just want my man to be happy ;_(
Been playin too much sekiro, when griffith showed up i heard the mikiri counter "ka ching" sound effect 💀💀💀
Hey masked , i think ur chapter reviews r awesome maybe u should do more of em like jjk and one piece if ur free
Guts could become an apostle, a Sacrifice marking as sacrifice his most beloved people (include they with his blood relantionship) Demon Guts could be the most powerful apostle, even more than Grunbeld, Locus and Zodd.
Mozart was unable to finish Lacrimosa Muira was unable to finish Berserk
Thank the universe for their students. This story deserved to go on and hopefully is given the ending it deserves.
Guts is really like me…… throws up after seeing Griffith naked.
I feel like the story is flowing a bit fast. I know its different due to being left in the hands of the studio but im not liking the way these chapters are turning out. They seem so spaced out. I may be judging to soon tho but i hope i get used to it
When will 374 be out ??
I have no doubt that we’re going to be seeing a side of guts where he’s going to be behaving similar to apostle.🐱
Just finished 373, seeing guts in total despair broke me 😢 when even the strongest protagonist starts loosing it all, you know shits really bad :( it’s a masterpiece
I feel so bad for the Kushans since Guts is gonna commit Kushan massacre in the next chapter
completely forgot kushan existed
I think Guts will have a Throrfinn moment of rebirth.
nice skullgirls music
