That's the Pepsi dial watch just arrived for me in the UK , first impressions, it's smaller than I envisioned and a bit more subdued in colour but in a good way. Extra straps excellent quality, tropic strap is a stunner, bracelet is stunning only downside was import tax bumped the price by £180 😢. Still very happy with it.
Great show. Love the watch! Black hands on the silver dial (too often it's silver on silver) and those cool indices really make this one work well.
Another in-depth review by the best in the business. Concise and covers everything necessary. Great review Peter.
Much appreciated and far too kind 🙏
Another great video Peter. I haven't been a big GMT guy in the past but models like this will make me think twice going forward. Keep up the good work Sir.
Will do, cheers 🙏
I love this watch. Despite my slim wrists it fits great. It's my go to traveling watch. I agree that setting is finicky, but practice makes perfect. I've been wearing the stainless bracelet, but I think I'll switch to the leather or rubber bands that came with it.
Luckily, I can wear a Rolex every day, but I won't travel without that Strat-O-Timer.
Great water.
Nice review. You make some very solid points. Thank you!
Excellent review. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
I'll wait to see their next build.
Looks a really well made watch especially with the Miyota true gmt movement. Funny thing is I got the Seiko gmt blueberry today and loving it
Great review as always 👍
Excellent, enjoy the Seiko 👍👍
Love it.. It's a classic design and would be a great addition to the collection :-) Enjoyed the review, your enthusiasm and passion along with in-depth knowledge. Keep up the great work, G'bless!
Thanks Elias
God bless you too
Great video. I have one of these in a different colorway incoming soon, and I'm excited to get my hands on it. One thing: I never understand the argument of clasp bodies being "too long" when the length of the swing arms are greater. There's no functional difference in fit or comfort; the difference is purely visual, where you have clasp body in place of another exposed link or two
Once again, you prove to be one of the best reviewer out there. I ordered this exact same model and waiting to be delivered. I couldn't find a review as good as yours so far to answer my doubts about the purchase. Of course as soon as I heard about the movement and on the fly adjustment, I was interested. I also asked Jack and Mason for an orange strap but sounds like I will have to source it elsewhere. I am now really looking forward to receive the watch thanks to your review.
Hope you enjoy it Alex, cheers
Hello there! Thank you for your order! We are definitely looking at offering multiple colors of the tropic straps in the future, so we appreciate the feedback! You will receive a black tropic strap as being part of the first 500. Cheers!
@@PeterKotsa I finally got it, I can say that they loosen up the bezel but too much. They fixed the clasp where I can just press down to lock it without using the push buttons. I agree with all the positive and actually like the lume to be green vs white. The removal of the links were a real challenge to the point where.I scratched one of the links and damage my cheap screwdriver but eventually got it. The bracelet is incredible and once you find your perfect adjusted size then it's super confortable. I know I will enjoy it for a long time. Again thanks for a great and honest reviews specially when looking at other youtubers that keep on praising watches that were sponsored. That's another topic but there are a lot out there that just become an extension of the marketing teams of the watch brands.
Great review 👍 . I really like the case design, it looks great to me, but I have no need for a GMT. I wish they would add hour hand adjustability to normal 3 hand movements, that would be perfect for holidays and daylight saving.
Hi Peter always love your contents and presentation, I have pre ordered this watch already, had to really think hard about it because of the price.
But specs wise it ticks a lot of boxes for me personally. I'm looking forward to receiving mine from Jack Mason. I'm UK based. Great vid 😊
Hope you enjoy it Max, cheers mate
Thank you for your order, sir! The watches are in the assembly and regulation stage now. We are starting to reach the final stages before shipment! Thank you for your patience.
For some reason, this one doesn't spark anything to me, but it does look like a well-made watch. I would love to hear your thoughts on the new Traska Venturer GMT which is like $300 less than this and a more original design IMHO. Thanks for another great review!
I agree. It looks like a well made watch but it’s another Pepsi variant. I love the look of the Venturer GMT. I’ve got a Venturer ordered, just waiting for it to ship
When your narration goes back and forward all the time, non stop, it's either cause the watch is really good or questionable.
Anyways, would like to see this movement in other wathces (not used widely, as far as i know... yet), but the whole design of this one hasn't convince me yet.
Thanks for the review though Peter, hope all is well down there mate, be well, cheers.
PS ...waiting for the rain here, for too long! Really dry winter, nature is thirsty and confused!
I hope you gets some rain soon brother..be well Stavros 🙏
Take a shot every time you say Superb! Lol, love the reviews as always and I really like the watch. I’m usually into smaller watches but at 41 mm this one doesn’t look like it wears big.
I think I would be very drunk every time I repeated words..hahaha 🥃🥃🥃🥃
Cheers brother
That's a seriously nice watch! Although the quick adjustable clasp is a nice touch I personally would trade a couple of mm of length to make the clasp a little smaller.
I wouldn’t buy it, but it’s a nice looking watch with good functionality and components, I personally think the price is a tad high, but then again I’m not a diehard enthusiast so it might be well priced for its intended market.
It looked great on the orange strap… Top review, thanks for sharing👍
This is a nice watch and worth the money. I like the bracelet and yes, I have several watches you have to release the buttons to open the pin clasps. Too loose and a bump can open the clasp. You want it firm. Love the fact the calendar moves with hour hand. Just got out of February and 15 watches needed to add 3 days to the calendar. On a lot of watches calendar only moves at midnight and that was a lot of winding to get correct date on these watches. It is great you get to keep this watch.
When pressing the twin triggers it operates flawlessly, just need to remind oneself...😊
Thanks for sharing Brian, cheers
On a lighter note, I'm super excited to see what Microbrands do with the Miyota 9075. I suspect there will be some stunning choices in the near future!
Really agree with you. The clasp should be smaller and the should more exquisite. I think if Zelos launched GMT with Miyota 9075, the price would be cheaper.
A very good looking watch, and that bracelet is nice. They have stepped up their game but I don't think I'd spend a thousand for it. And their quartz watches in my opinion are way overpriced. As usual, a good video Pete! 👍
I like it.
G R E A T ! ! ! 👍💯😀
I like this one, Peter.
It works really well, thats for sure 👍
Mine has play in the bezel, like i can wiggle it back and forth a bit without clicking it.
Appealing design, but unless you are a new movement aficionado, at that price point, I will give it a miss. Beautifully showcased as usual.
I like these watches and they seem to have really worked hard to move away from the fashion watch market.
But I think they’re too pricey to take a punt on, at this price I could get a Christopher Ward. Indeed if it was around £500 / $500 it would be a winner!👍
I agree! The CW would be a better choice!
Got my Strat-O-Timer yesterday. No visible glue even under magnification. So far, running within specs (+/- 5 sec/day). My clasp is very easy to close... push it closed and it locks right up with no effort. My wrist is pretty small...6.5" at best, no comfort issues at all. I agree with you about the crown...but it's perfectly usable. No comment on the bezel lumi yet...haven't tested it. Overall, I love the watch.
Great stuff Adam
Thanks for sharing this and enjoy the watch 👍
Bezel lume is very disappointing to be honest little to none on mine
@@paulmclean2116 same on this one 😔
Just got the Espresso version. Very nice.
enjoy 👍
Question: Does the ring surrounding the sapphire on the back protrude, or is it completely flat? I don't like adornment or raised portions digging down into the top of my wrist. Thanks!
Not sure I understand the question...elaborate
Interesting offering, and I sure love how that on the fly adjust works, although the extended clasp length seems a negative trade off. Dial seems a bit bunched up with the style of the indices and it overall seems a generic look, just in my opinion. Maybe a different colorway is more appealing?
I still recommend and prefer Mido's true traveler's GMT, with twice the power reserve, still 200m WR, and now costs less than the Jack Mason, since it's been on the market for a while now.
It's just me, of course, but I always seek the better watch for less cost, and I still have yet to see anything better as a traveler's GMT than what Mido provides.
Terrific and thorough review, thank you. I kept hearing about this watch and, for me, I know now it's not one I'll add.
Is the Mido you're referring to the Ocean Star GMT?
@@BM-si2ei Yes, that's the one.
@@135ipocketrocket2 Thank you. It's a handsome watch, and I agree it's a great value. The size makes it a non-starter for my 6.5 inch wrist, hopefully they make a condensed version in the future (their world time looks interesting. A bit busy dial for me, but very cool).
@@BM-si2ei Unfortunate about the size issue, as it is a terrific watch, and the 80h PR is great to have. Hopefully they do issue a smaller one. I have the reverse problem, missing out on a lot of options only available in smaller cases these days. That world time looks intriguing for sure!
Traska was first
Good video
But one thing you got wrong is the first part
Traska released their GMT before Jack Mason.
Not sure why they didnt make the clasp shorter, as even with an additional 10mm, thats plenty for anyone.
After buying a tudor aeronaut gmt, on your recommendation, I cant afford another one !! Lol. Unfortunately I have expensive taste , and a thinning wallet . Loving the aeronaut though pete , its an awesome watch.
I gotta say Martin, I really miss the refinement of the Aeronaut, just the way the crown operated and the fine tolerances of the watch as a whole. An excellent pick up mate, seriously enjoy it and wear it great health my friend 🥃
@@PeterKotsa , I got lucky its mint, the box the cards everything , I wasn't sure i was winding it, it was that smooth. For what I paid it was a steal, but then I've got a good eye for a bargain. I'm cheap what can I say , lol.
@@PeterKotsa , I actually think a lot of new watches are over engineered, milled clasps , thick bracelets, thick watches at 14mm plus. So its a joy to wear a 10.5mm thick watch , with a short lug to lug , and still have a 41mm for wrist presence, and a flat tapered bracelet with slim fold over clasp , that does its job perfectly. These old tudors are full of rolex DNA , without the silly prices !! Could you imagine now with the hype of the bb58, if tudour released this model now , instead of the new GMT , which most complained of its thickness , it would go down a storm. Its also got 5 micro adjusts on the clasp , to ensure a perfect fit as opposed to my newer bb with only 3 ? I always assumed these models were like 14mm thick or more , but thanks to your review , and hearing its thickness , I knew I had to finally get one. And yet it feels robust yet sophisticated, I absolutely love it. It has such a daytona vibe , even though its not a chrono, it just has the rolex DNA all over it !!! I said to my Mrs that the vintage models are the best .....and she gave me that look , with raised eyebrow, that I was talking crap as usual, lol. But even she said it was a cracking looking watch .... not me of course !!!
Does anyone really need that much movement in micro-adjustments? It seems to me that the idea of micro-adjustments, especially on the fly, is to improve or fine-tune comfort. But with so much travel it essentially becomes possible to not size the bracelet well, but at the sacrifice of having a very long clasp. I have little experience with bracelets, but my sense is that being able to size precisely and minimising the clasp is preferable. Perhaps I'm mistaken.
100% agreed. I can't deal with most ratchet clasps as they are huge and spoil the comfort of the watch with the diameter bulk. Zodiacs spring loaded clasp remains my favourite solution that gradually expands as your wrist doea in heat...compact solution on a butterfly clasp and ridiculously comfortable.
@@nextonthewrist that's interesting. Never heard about this clasp before. Zodiac doesn't have my design preference, but I'll look into that clasp!
@@benjaminvis Tudor also use a spring loaded clasp on the original Pelagos models (not the new 39).
@@max.loves.watches again not a brand that interests me much aesthetically. If this is so wonderful, why won't more brands create their versions?
I really like this one Peter. Its vintage all the way. Green? It should be more green on the indices. 1k is much... It's more of a $700.
This one is really nice.
You went crazy with that white lume... what was it? Tudor... OMG... Lume was green and the watch was blue so you expected to me a blue lume... I was like... You are not serious.
Clasp... Clasp is long OK.
Haha, you make me laugh bro
Yeah I hear you though regarding the lume..I wanted Blue on my BB58 as you probably saw, but now appreciate the green because of the vintage throwback etc..
As for this watch though, in the hand I feel the green hue on the lume in daylight could have been a little cleaner in just a simple white
Whether it glows green or blue doesn't really bother me here, just the daylight application would have been cleaner in white just like their pepsi version of this same watch (my humble opinion of course 😊😂)
@@PeterKotsa Yeah yeah I hear you... Total respect Pete.
But in my opinion it should be more green in the day time... that is vintage stuff right there... with that orange? ohhh.
Not a con at all.
I just remember that this one looks a lot like Doxa 300t... like a lot. You know...same vibe. And the same price... and the same manufacturing (you know what I mean).
Whoever does 20mm to 15mm has done his homework.
$700 max....not a dollar more.
Oh and I call in sick today... cause I found a little speck...
on my TUDOR.
LOL.
Fantastic content... superb.

Peter, been meaning to ask for ages (as I rather like your reviews), do you ever review watches you have to send back? I seem to always hear you saying that "you don't have to send it back but they can't influence your review." I've always taken this at face value, but seriously, if you are ALWAYS getting free watches from companies, how does this not influence your reviews? Perhaps it is best if you do send them back. Sorry mate.
Hi Alec,
I do watch giveaways with the watches usually every 5-10k (last one was at 40K subscribers where I gave away 6 watches at once)
Other watches I might keep for myself because I find them practical as daily's
At the end of the day the novelty has worn off a long time ago when I get a "free' watch
Nonetheless, I hear what you are saying man, thanks for sharing Alec 👍
@@PeterKotsa Good answer! I was aware you gave away some of them but hadn’t realized it was so many. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I do appreciate your reviews but I was understandably curious about that particular comment. Thank you for the detailed explanation.
@@alecjarnagin9041 no problems Alec.
On a side note, there are so many reviewers that receive watches for free, however, not all mention or comment on it.
Usually you will just see a "PAID PROMOTION" at the start of the video, thats it...and that's fine.
As for me, I decided to make mention of it for transparencies sake, and what I said in the video I mean wholeheartedly
The supplier has zero input into my review.
I have full freedom to speak my heart as I see it.
Nonetheless, hope that clears things up a little.
Be well mate and enjoy the hobby 👍

I initially don't like the look but decided to watch the video anyway. I stopped watching when I heard the price.

Too much money for a none brand
A jumping hour hand is not a true GMT. There are many half hour offset time zones in the world. It's impossible to set the true GMT time with a traveller GMT. There's nothing true about that - please stop saying nonsense. It's a "traveller GMT". Only a caller GMT can possibly do half-hour offsets (and thus be a true GMT) but unfortunately, most don't.
You come across, as a rather rude person....
Can you pinpoint the time this rage began?
Is this some kind of personal crusade? Well, the horse has bolted. Everyone uses 'true' and 'traveller's' GMT interchangeably and has for years. No one accepts your definition, and no one ever will (unless perhaps to get you to drop it and move on).
Hold up a minute. How is jumping hour hand not a true GMT? You are speaking nonsense here. You probably think of a jumping Arrow hand in half hour increments... that's not a real GMT.
How would a jumping hour hand jump a half step???
This my friend is exceptional movement hack from Miyota.
@@max.loves.watches Yes, to try and destupify the online watch world. It's a losing battle overall, but am sure I am getting through to the more-intelligent ones. The ones that tend to read and understand, but not reply like either fools or smart arses. OK so you're the self-assigned authority on the english language are you? Your level of self-importance knows no bounds.
It's not the best gmt, it's ugly and overpriced.
