Congrats on the Win! Re: disc wheel, I've been riding a Hed Disc regularly for over 10 years. My weight fluctuates between 170 and 180 lbs and never have a problem with being blown around -- including hitting 50+ mph on a descent at Ironman Mont Tremblant. Lionel at upper 150's low 160's probably doesn't get blown around too bad. I know riders below 155 have a helluva time with the Disc Wheel and I'm guessing you might be too light to ride a Disc in windy conditions. Way to keep it upright and take the Win!!
Since there aren't many great opportunities to get footage during the swim, which for Ari is the toughest/newest part, I think it adds to the experience for the viewers. You're just out there fighting against yourself, and we just have to imagine that you're coming out on top in that battle, since we won't see you much until T2.
Yes sir!! I remember not too long ago when everyone knew your calling was triathlons before you stepped foot in water. Been my favorite running channel since inception and now you’re my favorite triathlon YTer although I know little to nothing about the sport.
Let's goooo Ari, epic vid, can't wait to see the channel become huge, was In the first 100 subs, long time devil fan... Your passion, drive and talent will take you far
Congrats on your first triathlon! Hats off to Lionel to have spare you all that equipment (canyon bike, race wheels, helmet, tri suit, wetsuit, etc)... Definitely takes some time on saddle to get use to descent on tri-bars and also handling crosswinds with front deep wheel and rear disc wheel. It’s mostly the front wheel that has created instability and not rear wheel, no worries you will nailed next time just like every else just takes practice! When is your next race?
I guess he wasn't joking when he said he was hoping to get free sh*t from Lionel. 😂 Agreed on it being the deep front wheel that was likely more unstable and him not being used to than the rear disc.
Great video Ari. Congrats on the first race. I think the disc / rear wheel isn't as big of a deal as deeper front wheels. Looking forward to watching many more of your races in the future. 👌
Hey man, great video and race. It would have been the deep section front wheel affecting the bike handling, not the disc. Also, you can put your timing chip under your wetsuit leg so you don’t have to Waste time in transition taking it off And back on .
Awesome that Lionel gave you his old bike! Great performance!
I know I am quite off topic but does anybody know a good place to stream new series online?
@Duke Camilo Flixportal :)
@Huxley Mitchell thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I appreciate it!!
@Duke Camilo Happy to help xD
2:59 one of the most beautiful drone shots I’ve ever seen
I’ve been looking forward to this video! Congrats, it’s amazing to see where this journey in triathlon is taking you 👊
Can't wait to follow your triathlon journey. I think you've found your niche and you've got a great career ahead of you Ari! Thanks for the fun video!
Hell yeah I’ve been waiting for this, these videos are incredible. Also last vid about to hit 50k LETS GO!
What a beast, dubbing your first race

The wind was insane that day. I can normally hit 50 mph on that decent but I was only able to go 40 that day.

Flippin awesome! Way to put it all together in trial by fiah 🔥! Keep flying, Lionel’s cubby!
Love to see the improvement, road to 10k
1500meter swim - 27:30(1:40/100yd), 24.8m bike - 1:19:35(18.7mph), 6.2m run - 36:04(5:48/mile)
Just 30sec/100yd to take off that swim ! Dude can do it
There must have been a lot of elevation gain on the bike and run

Great video Ari. Congrats on the first race. I think the disc / rear wheel isn't as big of a deal as deeper front wheels. Looking forward to watching many more of your races in the future. 👌

Niceeee got to ride Lionel's old bike... pretty cool not going to lie.. I'd say jealous, but being 6'6" I'd certainly not fit on that bike.

Amazing!
