THIS IS WHAT I LOVE TO SEE! THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE Y&T FANS WHO HAVE STOOD BEHIND MY UNCLE PHIL AND THE REST OF Y&T THROUGH THESE YEARS AS I HAVE NOTHING BUT THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR ALL OF YOU!
I really miss your Uncle Phil. I use to go see them at the Cotati Cabaret back in the early 80's, he'd come out and talk to us and was such a nice guy, really affable.
Your uncle Phil was a fantastic musician and performer! In the 80s I saw them many times and hard rock like Y&T delivers is hard to find if not impossible. I'm glad he was a part of their legacy. Just amazing!
And a super-nice guy! Y&T played my favorite not-too-far-from-me venue about 8 years ago (played again several times after). Dave was signing stuff after the show. I asked if he had any picks. He stood up and checked his pockets only to not have any. Before I could say no worries, he was already running to the back to grab me a couple. Sang happy birthday to my wife the next year.
With the advancements in sound equipment and the fact that these dudes just plain shredded it, this live version is even better than others from a quarter century earlier. Classic song by a hugely underrated group, killer performance. The audience’s passion and enthusiasm really helps crank it up a notch as well.
Dave Manaketi has always been one of the most underrated guitarists, vocalist, songwriter ever I think, the whole band for that matter. Glad they're still rocking 👍👍👍
Dave is totally amazing. A fantastic vocalist and guitarplayer and also know how to make amazing songs. Its a shame this band not become one of the biggest and most well known. So much better than most bands from that era.
Y&T , I didn't know that band. 6 December 1982, they were the band performing before AC/DC. It was incredible, people were standing before an huge crowd with flags and all. I discovered and was amazed. Y&T forever, and Angus too of course; he inspired me to become a pro-guitarist (making a good living of it) I'm happy that Y&T still performs I was younger, but will see them again. FOREVER
I've played WITH BANDS i WAS a FAN. OF SO THINGS.
