Asaf (imho) is one of a small few people in the music industry who is the real deal. No auto-tune etc - He isn't afraid to make a mistake though if he does he lets you know it and everyone laughs together. He is a genius. I listen to him everyday and count him as one of the best things in my life. I love this man. A true original.

Asaf is here..I'm here..😊 A powerful performance by the one and only! Asaf Avidan😍
Phenomenal artist! Asaf has been performing successfully in the world for many years. He's the most interesting and fascinating artist in every possible aspect. He's an incredible performer with a divine voice.
His songs are always thought-provoking. Many layers, nuances, different styles. He plays every musical instrument that exists, and master of looping.
There are songs from the In a box series (II/III). " In a box", is recorded live. Live means no editing, no re-recording, no auto-tuning... All songs written, composed and produced by Asaf Avidan. (900 Days/ Your Anchor/Rock of Lazarus/My old pain/Bang Bang/Her Lies/ The labyrinth Song/A man without a name-Live At The Acropolis/ Lost Horse- Live au Perchoir Paris/Gold Shadow/ Cyclamen) and many many more..
Thank you so much for your great reaction!!
I hope to see more of him on your channel🙏

I think this song just spoke to me so loudly, because I am decluttering my house and came across my journals. I kept these from the time I was thirteen. I stopped when I had my stroke. I am reading through my history and realizing everything I have been through just made me the old lady I am now. Content with my life and who I am.

I'm soooo glad you shared this with me. You are a special soul, and getting to know you has been one of my highlights this year.

I often say that any music is good music as long as it has soul to it. Not soul music genre, but real feeling in it that is expressed. I could tell that at least with this song it was created with that specific memory he talked about first, then the music to express it. So it started with a feeling to begin with. A real artist right there.

This song, like everything that Asaf Avidan writes, makes you sit back and think, and that's the kind of song that most resonates with me. I am old. And, I often think of the stories that I could have told. Listen to what this man sings, because it is truth.

"I don't listen to this kind of music!" 🤣🤣 I said the same when I found Asaf Avidan last year. Always been a metal head (prog and black metal).. but dang, he hijacked my brain and I could not stop listening to his songs! For a couple of months I was like "noo.. nope.. no this is not my style.." I've surrendered. I love this man's artistry, his lyrics, his creative instrumentals, HIS VOICE. His brain. His lyrics are profound like I've never encountered before. Please react to more! How can I make requests? :D

No one expects Spanish inquisition. Less people expects Asaf Avidan.

Very unique voice. This was intimate and personal, and I really enjoyed the opening, especially. The lyrics were good as well. Good stuff.

I knew this song before. It was featured a lot on mainstream german radio stations when it came out. Funny enough, it was around the time my ex and I were splitting, and the lyrics hit right in the guts... but I never paid more attention to this artist. What a performance! I personally love when an artist speaks to his audience, it makes it so much more intimate. but it doesn't fit to every genre of course.
Great suggestion from the patron, and great reaction!

Yea, normally I like when they speak. For some reason it just kept going and took me out a bit but once they started singing I was right back in.

Enchanting. The speaking part could have taken me out of it, but I didn't mind it. Felt very personal. This was so good!

I've only heard this in covers (Israel's and Germany's Voice had several people do it. and somewhere else a street performer doing it) but I've heard him on Radio Paradise (My work music as not everyone will put up with my Prog and Metal). RP plays 'Your Anchor' and 'Painting On The Past' from him and iirc someone else who has him singing on a song.
A voice I should hate, but he makes it work well. use the tools you have. He plays damned well too.

The song had a great Groove for one, I was a little taken out of it as well by the speech, but I get why they did it. If it's a song that's that personal to wanting to get the message across must have been a driving force for them I'm not 100% sold on his voice, it's very unique and I would probably grow to like it... could certainly wail he wanted to. Is it interesting find, I guess I would have to hear more❤✌️

I enjoyed the music, but I could have done without the spoken part as well. It disconnected me from what I was feeling before it started and I lost it.
