Vinyl ain't going nowhere! People have figured out that vinyl is the physical equivalent to books, physical books for music! Vinyl is here to stay like Physical books are!

For years I've been preaching that Vinyl is the Canvas, Stage, and Archive for the Musical Artist.

Great video. I personally wiped the stylus off of my Lyra Delos many years ago. I cried. bought another Delos and never looked back.

I'll keep this in mind for when I want to have my Delos retipped.

Waiting on an Etna Lamda SL. Trading in a Kleos SL. Kleos is probably the sweet spot in the line, but even the Delos sounds good. And folks, the current line is VERY different from the old thin Helikon.

I can attest to Lyra's longevity: my Parnassus lasted 15+ years before the suspension finally gave up the ghost. I replaced my beloved Parnassus (which I still have) with an Atlas.

So true a good system setup poorly without attention to detail & knowledge just does not cut the mustard, we need to enable people to listen to a well setup system be wowed and feel the delay & attack on the instruments, even listening to a pop tune they will hear in different light.

Hi Michael with so many cartridges on the market, could you do a video on how to choose a cartridge, I know this might be difficult but some guidelines from an expert like you would help a lot of people.

It’s interesting to me to hear your comments about stylus cleaning, particularly because my cartridge maker says to leave it alone! On the J.Allaerts product webpage regarding his “Formula One” he advises to virtually never do it, it’s unnecessary, too risky, and he seems to suggest that the structural shape of his tip defies the accumulation of gunk. Could you gents address this please?

Have a Clavis in the draw, wouldn’t mind getting it refurbished as I like the presentation which is a wee bit on the bright side but very detailed.

Can't believe that Sean Lennon is so short of money that he needs to set up a phono cartridge distribution company Michael....😉

*HOW TO DEVELOPE PATIENCE TO LONG VIDEOS:* The Audiophile Solution to LONG REVIEWS is to simply play the SHOWS you are watching by changing the PLAYBACK SPEED.
.... I am not sure why this is not Recommended MORE OFTEN, and for NEW Audiophiles it can help you to Stream up to 'twice the speed' the INFORMATION you are looking for.
.... PICKING A FASTER listening SPEED is based on the HOST who is speaking, but RULE #1 is if you can't understand the HOST, then Slow the Playback Speed down.
..... I realize that many HOST will find this offensive, but I think they (the Host) do not see how that gives them SEVERAL ADVANTAGES:
a.) People are more LIKELY TO FINISH the Videos and this RAISE THE LEVEL of PAY for the HOST.
b.) People will benefit from the increased information. In most cases people can digest the knowledge quicker than the conversation, they are hearing.
c.) People will also more likely listen to items that are not at the TOP of their own interest, but feel the time then spend is marginal and they take advantage of Hearing the other items introduced to them without much loss of time.
That's my .02 cents - PEACE to everyone.

Develop patience by sitting down and listening to people having a conversation without looking at the clock. Watching this in twice the speed would make me want to jump out a window.

@@thegrimyeaper - It works for me - I wanted more time to listen to other Critics who usually release all the same days it seems, and I have other things to do.
.... Some people are more difficult to understand even at normal speed - so, you have to slow it down -
..... It doesn't happen much, but once in a while I have to slow it down even below the normal speed just follow some of the conversations.

I try to deliver quickly, to not pontificate to not be slow and self indulgent, to not post clickbait or use clickbait-y headlines and especially to NOT post an empty video because “it’s time for a new video”.
