I was also considering installing a piece of metal over the large opening in the back to reduce the wind from blowing up through the grill. If I reduced the opening and left only about a 2 inch slot where the burner pins are installed would this adversely affect the performance or create an unsafe situation? I was planning to use self taping stainless screws to install a piece of stainless over the larger opening.
I have a Blaze 3 burner built-in grill (Blaze-BLZ3NG). After using the grill, I allowed the grill to burn on high for about 10 minutes or so, but after it cooled down I still see baked-on deposits in the interior of the grill like on the grates and flame tamers and below the burners. Aren't these baked-on deposits supposed to burn into ashes when allowed the grill to burn on high for 10 minutes or so? These baked-on deposits on the flame tamers and grates are so hard to almost impossible to remove by hand.
Hello! You can let your grill burn on High for 15-20 minutes with a piece of aluminum foil (shiny side down) on the grates during burn off - but ONLY on the grates! If using the foil, do not put the lid down during burn off. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any questions, and you can always email customerservice@blazegrills.com with any concerns.
+Terry D I have found Easy Off oven cleaner works really well, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then wipe off. You can finish with stainless cleaner if need be.
It appears from your video that the pins that hold the burners in place were intended for shipping and can be left off once installed on a cart or in a outdoor kitchen set up. It would make life easier if I could leave the pins out on my cart set up. Is this acceptable?
I have this same question also. Given that my grill is a built-in, removing and re-installing the cotter pins is a bit of a hassle. Can the pins be left out once removed?
Love my Blaze grill!

looking into purchasing a whole outdoor kitchen soon! thanks for this
I would season any grill with a seed oil as I use tallow or duck fat due to the health risks, but other wise great video!

My Blaze grill has some greasy build up on the back where the smoke escapes. Is there anything I can use to clean this area?

Terry D Grill cleaner or soap and water and a scrub pad.

Only if a huge explosion is your goal.

Fed Guy Pins are not needed after installation.
@@danflaherty1132 it is a bit of a hassle but only a one time hassle. No need to reinstall. Mine is also built in.
