I always thought NOT to use a blow air clean as it can blow the fibres into the machine? I always use a mini suction head on my vacuum to take away the fluff. So I’m a bit confused now 😕
Me too! I felt very anxious watching this, wondering where the fluff will end up, especially around the thread path through the tension area. I'm going to keep vacuuming until someone explains the difference.
Hi Lorna, you can use canned air. It is key to make sure there is an escape for the lint or fuzz. Also, do not lean or shake the can. You are more than welcome to continue using a small vacuum to remove lint or fuzz.
@@babylocksewing When you blow the canned air into the thread tension area, does it have an escape? I've never seen this machine without its outer shell so I can't imagine where the fluff might be going.
Thanks that was a big help. Can you identify why my automatic threader did not up take all the needed thread. It would sound like it was working but didn’t. Thanks Margie
Hi Jean, if your serger can be oiled at home, it will state so in the manual. Most of our sergers are oiled by authorized Baby Lock technicians during routine maintenance.
Marilyn, maybe a drop of oil on the Needle Bar and Upper Looper shaft, but the only way to get to the important lubrication points is to take it your local BL retailer on a yearly basis, so they can take more covers away from the machine.
Thank you so much. You’re the only video that actually showed how to remove the needle plate for cleaning.
Great video! Pleasant to watch and I learn a lot.
Thank you s0 much, I enjoy learning how to take of my machines.
Thanks...very helpful. I know my Baby Lock needs this.

I don't think I would use canned air either.

Very good video Doug. This is very helpful. Thank you. Pam Miller
Nice video
Do I ever add oil to the parts? If so, which ones/where?

I watched you oil the Triumph with Lori Hernandez. Is it ok to use: "Tri-Flow superior Lubricant with teflon" to oil with?
Not a problem Glenda !
Why does my air jet not blow all of the way through the lower looper?
Thank you so much.
I am a beginner do you think I could manage to learn to use this serger??? 😏😏
No doubt ! I have a generation before this but it’s almost just like it. If you buy one, have your dealer show you how to use it before you leave !
@@JackieDannenberg ok thank you 😊
A video about 2x screws
No oil or grease?
