One of my uncles owned a brand new '59 Impala 2dr sport coupe (cream color) w/ a 283ci power plant; he told me in 1979 that that was one running machine.When you sit in the back seat of a '59 or '60 Impala and look up you can see the sky.
My bro has a 1958 impala hardtop we are restoring. Hard to find parts for it. We need power steering pump and generator. I overhauled the 348 engine with tri-power carbs. Sweet ride and rare.

Especially because were i live there aren´t places like this, what is so sad, because all the places like was closed and the cars crushed...what is soo sad! But in this Video i see something what could help me at my present project; A 67 Chevy Caprice/Impala 4 Door Hardtop what i´ve got from ohio and i´m rebuilding sheet metal like the whole wheel arches of the front fenders, the whole lower windshield frame and many spots all with new self/hand made sheet metal what i´ve shaped by myself and welded, grinded...until i´ve got back Front fenders like new and a body what was rusty, now in a condition witjout any rust. The only sections what i´ve to rebuild with selfmade shaped sheet metal are different sports at the weatherstrif channel of the trunklid.. all a difficult but nice work and it safes one more so amazing, beautyful US fullsize classic car without b-billars, called 4 door hardtop what is my favorite bodystyle :) But even for the Project i see at timecode 02:00-05:00 the 67 Impala 4 Door Sedan... No disrespect sir but my father has collected these cars for over 52 years and the reason he started collecting them is because 1959 is his birth year he didnt inherite nothing he started with one and when he sold that one he bought 2 more and so on but I'm glad your interested in them and your right it's sad most young people like me dont like these old cool cars you just cant beat them
My dream is a 59 convert or hardtop 2nd but black with white top 427 tripower engine wise with some old school cragars be sweet with nice clean interior

Went to a place like this in new braunfels texas. The guy is selling his whole yard. He’s going to do it before he dies basically going to cash out. These cars are so parted out by now. And nobody is really willing to buy it with all those parts missing unless they really really wanted and were looking for that specific model. They are just waiting for that one guy or gal who really cares about the car to adopt and bring it back to life. The thing is there aren’t many of those types of people out there who are actually willing to do it not just talk about it or make videos about it but actually save one of these.

There a 4 moldings on the front of the 59s. They call them eye brow moldings. They are kinda rare. I've seen them go for about 5 to 900 online.
