What a beautiful table! I actually like the wood and glass combination best because then you can't tell what the base is actually made from. The wood also makes it look more stable. FYI: Those are not chargers just trays. Chargers are round and put under a dinner plate. 💙
As much money as she spent buying all that BS trash from the dollar store she could have actually just went and bought something to hold the piece of glass but I no the dollar stores in my city do not have plates of glass

A suggestion: Since the trays are light weight plastic, to add weight and also keep from the trays from crushing-
Put a couple CERAMIC TILES inside the tray before gluing together.
You can get FREE TILE samples or go to a local tile store and let them know you are working on a project - I’m sure they could spare some.
If not- perhaps some SMALL ROCKS.
Another Idea- SPRAY PAINT the Pedestal after all the trays are glued together- that way you can change the color.
The trays are actually strong enough when they’re doubled so there is no need for tiles or any other thing inbetween them. They are doubled and glued with construction adhesive for stability and durability so after glass was placed on top of it, all kinds of decor pieces for coffee tables with no weight restrictions (as long as they are coffee table decor pieces) have been used with no issues. I love the idea of spray painting the pedestal 😀you’re awesome!!!

Adding rocks in the inside can make it more solid and sturdy. Although the stickers not going to show take them off. It's easier to get off then you think.
